"Congratulations on the Demon Emperor's marriage," said a middle-aged man with a flattering smile, bowing respectfully to Yu Tian. "I wish His Majesty eternal life and everlasting rule."
"This Emperor knows what you want, Kong Jingcang, and you should know that flattery is useless with me," said a handsome young man with golden hair, blood-red eyes, and a pair of majestic, fierce horns atop his head. He wore regal black robes embroidered with golden dragons, radiating an aura of supremacy and transcendence.
"Kong Jingcang swears he did not intend to flatter the Demon Emperor," Kong Jingcang stammered, sweating profusely as he met the sharp gaze of the Demon Emperor. His eyes were filled with fear and dread.
"Today is my wedding day, so I will forgive you. But remember... there won't be a next time," the Demon Emperor said indifferently, waving his hand. The threat was enough for even the slightest attempt at flattery.
"..." The Demon Emperor, or Yu Tian, stared at the people below him and could only sigh softly. Today was his wedding day.
It was true that Yu Tian was getting married. As for how this came to be, it was due to the events that followed his killing of Yun Xiao, the Yun Family, Huan Caiyi's oath of loyalty to him, and Wuya's intervention.
After a conversation between Huan Caiyi and Wuya—the contents of which Yu Tian did not know—Huan Caiyi decided to propose marriage to Yu Tian.
Yes, you heard correctly. It was Huan Caiyi who proposed marriage to Yu Tian, something that surprised him. Although he was curious about the conversation between Huan Caiyi and Wuya, the two women concluded that this was the best way to grant Yu Tian the rule and loyalty Huan Caiyi desired.
Yu Tian had to admit that he was stunned when Huan Caiyi proposed to him. It was something he couldn't comprehend for a while, as such a thing had never happened, not even when he was the Nirvana Devil Emperor.
However, Yu Tian quickly snapped out of his daze and firmly rejected Huan Caiyi's proposal. He wasn't the type to accept a marriage proposal from a woman, as it was a disgrace to his pride as a man.
But even beyond his pride, Yu Tian had no feelings of love for Huan Caiyi. Although he would be lying if he said he didn't feel some possessiveness toward her beauty, that wasn't enough to bind her life to his. Yet, when she proposed, Yu Tian's opinion shifted slightly. He knew Huan Caiyi didn't love him and was only doing this out of her duty as a member of the royal family to ensure an heir.
Still, this didn't stop him from proposing to Huan Caiyi, which she accepted without hesitation. She didn't care much about who proposed to whom, as long as Yu Tian agreed to marry her and help her produce an heir to the throne—a duty she had as the last member of the royal family.
As for Yu Tian, he saw his marriage to Huan Caiyi as an opportunity to fulfill his dream of having a family of his own. So, he didn't hesitate to propose to Jasmine, Yu Ya, Chu Yuili, Chu Yuechan, Su Yan, Xia Ning Chang, Shan Qing Luo, and Huan Caiyi. Even if he didn't love her as much as Jasmine and the others, he still had good feelings toward her. Besides, he would be lying if he said he wasn't greedy for the woman known as the Number One Beauty in the Illusory Demon Realm.
And so, Yu Tian was now marrying all the women he loved. His desire to have a new family wasn't something that had just arisen in this life; it had been with him since he was the Nirvana Devil Emperor. But he hadn't dared to act on it, knowing how nearly all living beings would be killed. Even if there was hope that his family might survive the catastrophe, he didn't want to gamble on something uncertain and risk losing those who would have been his family. Thus, it was better for him to reincarnate after the catastrophe and start a family of his own.
And so, Yu Tian sat on the Emperor's throne in the Imperial Palace, with Huan Caiyi on his left and a stunningly beautiful woman on his right. She had long black hair, a small, exquisitely beautiful face, a slender figure with graceful curves, and a chest that, while not overly large, was perfectly proportioned. Her hips were small and heart-shaped.
Although this woman usually wore a cold, distant expression, she was now smiling from ear to ear, clearly overjoyed to be marrying the person she loved. This was something she had dreamed of before. Although Yu Tian, or Kurou, was her stepbrother from their parents' second marriage and they shared no blood relation, it would have caused many problems for their once-happy family.
This beautiful woman was none other than Karen, the first woman Yu Tian (or Kurou) had proposed to. He had told her of his plans to have a harem, which she accepted, albeit with some reluctance. She had expected this for a long time, and her suspicions were confirmed when she saw the way the women around Yu Tian looked at him. It was clear they loved him as much as she did, and Karen didn't want to take away the person they loved. She knew the pain of losing someone you love more than anyone else.
After Kong Jingcang presented his gifts and bowed respectfully, another person stepped forward to offer their respects and gifts to Yu Tian and the others. But Yu Tian ignored them, as there was something more important now.
"..." Yu Tian gazed at Karen beside him, who was wearing a red wedding dress. His eyes were filled with love and affection as he marveled at her beauty. Although she wore a veil covering her face, Yu Tian could see through it easily. He could see the happy, almost silly smile on Karen's face, which made his heart flutter with joy.
