THE JESUS SLAY QUEENS 2
Episode 39
"So what are the blessings of an intercessor? Number one is, intercession is a seed. Now what do I mean by that? I mean, when you're interceeeding, you're sowing into your future and destiny. When you pray for the need of others, most of those things you pray for others to get, you don't need to pray them for yourself. They just come to you on their own volition.
It's a replica of that scripture. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you. When you pray for people and want to see the will of God manifest in their lives, he'll not leave your life left out.
Now, before I go on, I need to add this. Intercession is born out of the womb of love. I mean genuine love for the people you're praying for. If you don't have the love of god in your heart, it will be very difficult to interceed for someone. Aside that, when you're interceeeding for someone, especially someone who is not yet born again, you may not get an encouraging attitude from them.
When you meet certain people and tell them that you're praying for them. They may laugh at you or just give you a casual thank you that will lead to heartbreak. And most times, you may feel the only way further is to stop praying for them, since they are not appreciating it. And trust Daddy, he will go ahead to insist that you continue the prayers. He will insist that you stand in the gap for them.
So as an intercessor, you must learn to love without being loved in return. Sometimes, you feel alone, really lonely. Yet, you rise up and lift those people to God in prayers as a duty or as an office.
The bible says in the book of 1 Samuel 12:23. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way.
When you refuse to pray for others, do you know you're sinning against God?"
"Hmmmmmmm! That's serious!" I said.
"Sometimes Susan, let me relate something with you. Because this number one blessing of an intercessor is somehow to me. I have heard many cases of people who pray for others, but that same thing they pray for others and they get, they pray for themselves, yet God doesn't answer their own.
Like I know of a lady in our church who prays alot. People meet her with prayer requests and she will tell them to give her and God one week to reply. I have heard testimonies of people coming out to testify that immediately one week was completed, they got the answer to their prayers.
But this woman is looking for a child. I have lost count of how many women she had prayed for and they came to testify that it was after her prayers that they got their breakthrough. And this woman is still looking up to God for a child, yet no child.
So when you're saying that an intercessor will get her prayers answered even before she asks, I was wondering if that was true. Although I believe it's true, but can you explain why God would allow such to happen to a faithful servant? It's not only her case. There's also this woman that prays for the sick and they get healed. But she's on drugs daily. She swallows tablets everyday.
Why would God allow such to happen to an intercessor? I need answers," Ope asked.
"Wow!" I exclaimed.
"Now listen, as an intercessor, God doesn't just give you what you need, there's also what we call a trying period. A period where your loyalty to God will be tested. Every obedience to God must be tested to determine how genuinely you love him.
So every intercessor must pass through that test of faith. And if you fail, you're going seriously regret it.
It's a period when God will test if you really love your neighbour. It is a period where God will test if your obedience to him and submission to the place of prayer is based on what he can give you. It's a period when you're going to see God answering others and leaving yours to a much later time and you are still loyal to him.
It's a period where the tempter will come and tempt you to curse God and die. It's a period when God will try you to find out if your reason for following him is all about material possession.
Listen and listen to me carefully. God comes late when he wants to come big. Check your bible very well. Every woman that had delay in childbirth, did not give birth a nonentity. They gave birth to great men and mighty generals of the faith.
Talk about Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Samson, Samuel, John the Baptist. Their moms waited and waited on God to bless them with children. When God finally did, these children became mighty men on earth.
So tell that woman not to get discouraged. If you want to eat correct food like fried rice, you would need to wait for a long period of time for the food to get ready. But if it's that useless food they call instant noodles, in a few minutes you eat it and you're still hungry or it has very little nutrients to bless your body.
I know many humans, out of desperation will shout, give me noodles. I don't care about the nutritional values. I am so hungry, I want it now! Give it to me now!
Ask Abraham how far? If you should interview Abraham and ask him if it were possible to rewind the hands of time, would he still want to give birth to Ishmael? I believe his answer would be no.
So you also need to understand that patience is a fruit of the spirit. And if you must have all the 9 fruits of the Holy Ghost in you, you must be ready to pass the test of faith. You must pass the test of your love for God and your neighbours. At the same time, you must pass the test of patience in God.
Like it or not, no matter how speedy things get in your life, there's always that point where you are stuck and all you can do is wait on God to show up. It's a test every believer who wants to grow spiritually must pass through.
But many of them, like mummy Sarah, would cut corners and waste their season of developing the fruit of the spirit called patience. But sooner or later, you'll discover that you should have waited on God as you begin to regret your actions later.
I don't know if I have answered your question?"
"Yes ma!"
"In addition, the bible says in the book of James 1:2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.
Verse 3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Verse 4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
There's a work patience has to do in your spirit man. If you allow impatience to push you out or pressure from people. You will end up an imperfect christian.
So that period of waiting for God's answer to show up, is a period you must not allow impatience to rob you of. If not, you have missed out on something tangible in your christian life.
Some people, God needs them to learn how to be consistent in their secret place during that period they are waiting on God for a child. Because he wants to give them children with great destinies that only a woman with a praying altar can raise.
Some children lost their destinies because their mummy is a lukewarm Christian. Today she's hot, tomorrow she's cold.
So God knows it's a risk to give her those destiny children now. So he delays the answer to her prayer and during that period of waiting on God to answer her prayers, God is exposing her to spiritual novels that teaches about consistent prayer life. Because he wants her to build her prayer life before the arrival of her children.
But she's too impatient to understand. She's depressed, she's worried, she's looking for the nearest hospital to know what's wrong with her. Whether the problem is from her husband or from her," I added.
"Thank you mama!" She said.
"So back to the blessings of an intercessor. We stopped at number two," I said to Susan.
"Yes! Number two is the intercessor carries authority in their mouth. That's one of the blessings that follows you as an intercessor. When you open your mouth and make a decree, it will stand.
Open to 1 Samuel 9:6."
I quickly opend the bible app on my phone and read.
"And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go."
"That's when Saul and his servant were searching for his father's missing donkey and the servant began to suggest they go and look for Samuel the prophet.
Take note of what the servant said. He said that whatsoever Samuel said will surely come to pass. Was Samuel an intercessor?"
"Yes!" we both chorused.
"If you want your words to carry power, be an intercessor. The truth is this, the bible says in Matthew 6:6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
The reason why people struggle with public prayers is because of the absence of secret prayers. When you see a man shouting, 'Come out in the name of Jesus!' and nothing is happening. And another man shows up and just whispers, 'Leave,' and the demon obeys instantly. It's a product of their secret place.
God will reward your secret labour in public. You cannot struggle in the secret and God will still allow you to struggle in public. He's a God of justice. So God will grant you power, that someone is sick, you don't need to go into a one hour prayer session, just a decree of be healed and that's it. Headache is gone, stomach pain disappeared suddenly.
Then, number three is easy access to visions and revelations. Let me tell you a secret. The more you give yourself to prayer, the more you're unlocking your supernatural abilities to see beyond the physical. So as you continue to give yourself to prayers, God will begin to reveal things to you.
You'll begin to discover the secrets as to why certain things are happening around you. The spiritual reasons behind some occurrences in your life and in the life of those you're interceeeding for.
For instance if your sister is about to travel tomorrow, you'll be the one to see ,if there's an accident planned for her. If your cousin is about to marry the wrong man, you'll be the one to see it.
All these blessings follow an intercessor."
To be continued......
I believe God spoke to someone in this episode. All those waiting on God for a breakthrough. All those waiting on God for babies and of course, those waiting for a life partner. Don't waste your waiting period.
God will definitely answer, but delay does'nt happen without a reason. Take advantage of that waiting period to build on yourself. Don't waste it in depression and unnecessary worries.
Use that time to build your relationship with God and prepare for the arrival of your John the Baptist.
