Chapter 40 - Episode 41

THE JESUS SLAY QUEENS

Episode 41

MRS ABAYOMI POV.

I sat down and gave a deep sigh. I knew I was helping the poor girl escape further punishment. If I had stayed and listened to everything she had to say, I would end up making her punishment worse.

There are rules in the spirit realm. Anyone who dishonors their spiritual leader or parents is in serious trouble. I knew something terrible was ahead of that girl. I just didn't know what it is.

Juliet said she wanted more time to spend praying. Suddenly, she's on the phone with a friend. That girl is trouble.

And what nonsense was she saying when she said I'm flogging her as a way of getting back at her for her father's refusal to marry me. Was she born when her father proposed to me?

What does that little brat know? Was it my fault that her father was too stubborn? Was she there when I was interceeding for her stubborn father to change his mind and accept me as God's will for his life? That little brat opened her mouth and spoke nonsense.

My husband had travelled so it was just me and the girls. I felt like giving him a call to share with him how the little angel we kept in the house was turning into a demon.

She's just a carbon copy of her father, stubborn and arrogant. Too hard and difficult for God. Always learning to surrender to God when faced with terrible calamities.

"ARE YOU BETTER THAN HIM? ARE YOU BETTER THAN THIS GIRL YOU'RE CALLING A BRAT?"

I exhaled, as my dad's voice interrupted me.

"REMEMBER YOUR SCAR!" Came the gentle whisper.

I was putting on a blouse, so I quickly moved my blouse to my stomach region and took a look at the scar on my stomach.

This scar always reminded me of my past and how God showed me the biggest mercy of all. If anyone had told me that I would make it that day, I wouldn't have believed it.

I placed my hand over it and felt it for a moment.

I remembered how I wept that day! It was an encounter with the God of mercy. A life transforming mercy!

"JULIET DOESN'T KNOW YOU WENT THROUGH A LOT. SHE REALLY SPOKE OUT OF IGNORANCE. SHE WILL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THAT SCAR ONE DAY! THAT SCAR THAT MADE YOU THE WOMAN OF GOD YOU ARE TODAY!"

I smiled.

"Daddy! How can a scar make me a woman of God?" I asked within me.

"YES NA! BUT PLEASE! YOU DID SOMETHING THAT GOT ME UPSET."

"Daddy! Please tell me! I'll apologize as fast as I can!"

"YOU CALLED HER A LITTLE BRAT! THAT WAS OUT OF BITTERNESS! I DIDN'T LIKE THAT AT ALL. YOU WERE GIVING THE DEVIL A LISTENING EAR."

"I'm so sorry sir!" I quickly apologized.

"IT'S ALRIGHT! I FORGIVE YOU!"

"Thank you so much!"

The door opened ushering in Susan and my Ella walked in.

"Mummy, are you okay? Ella asked.

I smiled as I discovered she was looking at me inquisitively.

"I'm fine!" I replied.

"I'm sorry about what happened. I never knew Juliet was such a Devil!"

"Haa! Please shush!" I said with fear for my Ella.

"Ella! No please! Don't open your heart for devil's of bitterness to occupy. You mustn't please!"

"But mum! She's an ungrateful and unreasonable person!"

"Shush! Ella stop! Are you better than her!" I asked on top of my voice.

Susan who was standing by the door brought out her head to spy at us and our eyes met.

"It's okay darling! You can come out!" I said.

She stepped out and walked into the room.

"Mummy why are you defending a girl who insulted you?" Susan asked.

I smiled.

"Because I'm not her judge. I'm not better than her. I was only shown grace. It was grace that made what what I am today. If not for grace, I would be dead by now. But God in his mercy showed up and rescued me," I said and raised my blouse up.

The girls saw the scar on my stomach and understood the point I was making.

"Hmmm! Mummy! Sometimes it's hard ooo! You see people doing what they're not supposed to do and yet you forgive them without them asking.

Juliet is born again like you and I. If there's anyone who's going to misbehave like an unbeliever, it shouldn't be her. We were not supposed to expect this behaviour from her. She was supposed to behave herself very well, like a good girl," Ella said.

"Actually, I expected her to behave like that," I said and they were both amazed.

"Why would you say that?" Susan asked.

"Has Juliet been observing her quiet time?" I asked Susan.

She looked shocked by the question, but I stared at her expectantly.

"Not really. Although she wakes up to observe it, she usually sleeps off while doing it," she answered.

"Any Christian who doesn't observe quiet time will never be able to live a Godly or Holy life. That's the secret. You may pretend that be Godly, but your true nature of sin will be revealed when you're under pressure.

The bible says in Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Verse 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

That means, if you do not renew your mind, your mind will automatically conform to the patterns and desires of the world. Just give yourself time. You will soon discover you're lying like the people who are not born again. Fornicating like them, harbouring unforgiveness and bitterness like the people of the world.

And how do we renew our minds?

Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Verse 29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Verse 30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Verse 31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

So you wait upon God in the place of your quiet time and your spiritual energy is renewed. Your mind is strengthened and your fire for God like the lamps of the wise virgins, is refueled.

But if you're the type of that observe quiet time today and tomorrow you're sleeping. You're not going to have a steady transformation. You're going to see the flesh rise up today and go down tomorrow.

The christian life or should I say your spiritual life is like the lamp of the ten virgins. The wise virgins take their lamps to God everyday for refilling and he refills them on a daily basis so their fire for God doesn't quench.

But the foolish ones will tell themselves that I cannot observe my quiet time today, I'm too tired, I'm too busy, I'm feeling sleepy. And they fail to realize that their spiritual life is going down at the expense of their sleep.

The more you appear to wait upon God in your quiet time, the more your spiritual life is renewed, strengthened and rekindled. The more you miss your appointment with God, the more your spiritual fire and lamp is going down.

This is exactly what happened to Juliet. She had been unserious with her quiet time and as a result, the flesh started taking over her spirit and was in charge. She started walking according to the desires of the flesh.

This is because when you fail to renew your strength through your consistency in your quiet time, your spiritual fire will go down and sin will take over."

"Wow!" Ella said.

"Blood of Jesus!" Susan gasped and she held her head as though she was having a splitting headache.

"What's wrong?" I asked as she drew the attention of Ella and I.

"Incoming!" She said and gave a cry of pain.

Whenever Susan said incoming, it means she was having a revelation of someone that needed intercession at the moment.

"What did you see?" I quickly asked.

"Mummy! It's Juliet. They have just kidnapped her from her school and they're taking her to a place for initiation unto lesbianism," she answered.

"God forbid! Not my daughter!" I shouted.

"Please we need to pray!" I had the feeling we won't be going to school today," Ella said and stood up.

"Let's pray please! Oh Lord intervene! Spoil the plans of the enemy!" I stood up.

We all stood up and began to groan aggressively.

In all my life being a Christian, I have never seen myself praying and all I was hearing in my spirit was, 'Pray more!'

It was as if the more we were praying the more it wasn't affecting what was happening.

I decided to switch battle formation.

"Let's go down on our knees and plead for mercy. The enemy keep saying that they have a legal ground in this matter. Sin is demanding for justice and it wants to destroy her. We all know Juliet is guilty, but if we allow sin take justice, that would be the end for her.

Only mercy can win her back! Whenever sin is demanding for justice, even God is handicapped except mercy stands up to cheat justice.

Can we cry to God to have mercy in Juliet! Go ahead and cry!"

The intensity of our prayers rose. We were already sweating and crying as we knelt down to plead with God for Juliet's life.

"PRAY THAT HER FAITH DOES NOT FAIL". Came the instruction.

"Another prayer point! Pray that her faith doesn't fail!" I repeated.

We began to pray that God strengthens her faith.

It wasn't too long as we continued in the prayers that my eyes opened.

I saw a woman raising a knife about to stab Juliet.

I screamed and intensified my prayers. It looked as if my girls were seeing the same thing because they all increased the fervency of their prayers.

The prayers continued for over an hour when my phone started ringing. My heart almost skipped out of fear. Did the woman stab Juliet?

I rushed to pick up my phone. It was a stranger calling. I had the feeling there was some bad news to hear.

"It is well with your soul Juliet! You shall live and not die!" I said and swiped the green bar.

"Hello!"

"Yes! Is this Mrs Abayomi?"

"Yes ma! We found your daughter beside the road beaten and stabbed in the belly. So we had to rush her to the hospital. We need you to come and claim the body!" The caller said.

"Body? I don't understand!"

"I said come and carry the body from the hospital for burial. Your daughter was stabbed in her stomach. If you see how wounded she is right now, you won't even recognize her.

Her face is swollen and she has wounds all over her body. How do you expect someone that wounded to survive?"

"So she's not yet dead and you're already concluding she is dead?"

"Madam! E be like say you dey krase! Anyway Sha! When you come to the hospital! You'll discover for yourself. Hurry up please!" He said and ended the call.

"Mummy what happened?" Susan asked.

"Juliet was kidnapped, beaten and stabbed in the belly. But she's alive though!"

"Hallelujah!" The girls shouted.

"Thank you Jesus! Can we begin to thank God for sparing Juliet's life?"

"But mummy! It's like the man was saying she is dead. I thought I heard you arguing with him that she's not dead?" Ella asked.

"Thank God you said you thought you heard. The bible says our God is a God that calls the things that do not exist as if they exist. That was how he created the sun, moon, stars and all the animals you see today.

There was nothing like sun when God is let there be light. It was as if God was talking to himself. But the bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. So we are going to speak as if Juliet is alive. And that same creative power that God placed in us as heirs of his kingdom will manifest.

Can we thank God for giving Juliet new life?"

"Yes ma!" They both chorused and soon we began to sing praises to God .

After 30 minutes of thanking him, we all headed for the hospital.

To be continued....

The story is going to be continued by Juliet Anderson.

God's word is very reliable.

Don't allow what you see change your faith in what God has spoken about you.

I mean there are times when everything around you is opposite of what God said about you. I mean no results to show that what gid said about you is true.

But faith is not about seeing. It's about believing what you cannot see. So you're sick, yet you keep telling yourself you're healed. Even when you just finished vomiting. You laugh and tell yourself you're healed. That by his stripes you are healed.

That kind of faith moves God to action. It challenges him to stand up and defend what he wrote down in the bible.
