Chapter 114 - Chapter 807 - 808

Finally, Evan realized that he had to demonstrate his power to make the giants cooperate and fear him. Giants had a simple disposition; they admired strength and were not interested in political strategies or benefits. They were not patient listeners, and communication was often challenging with them.

After their initial meeting, Evan allowed giants Cacus and Golgomath to experience his strength, and they decided to cooperate. Similarly, Death Eaters cursed Golgomath and his followers, causing fear among the remaining giants and leading them to join Voldemort's camp. Given this situation, Evan decided to leave a lasting impression on the giants using a direct and powerful approach. He wanted to show them that even if they joined Voldemort's army, they couldn't forget the fear he could instill.

A new plan formed in Evan's mind. He decided to save the Cyclop's strength energy stone, as he couldn't use it to strengthen Grawp. Instead, he would use this destructive power for a more meaningful purpose.

The next day, as the sun rose in the grotto where the Death Eaters were hiding, a green flame ignited in the center, creating an ominous atmosphere. Five Death Eaters were on high alert, positioned strategically.

"These giants are close to giving up. Except for a few older giants who can't leave, the rest aren't willing to join them," one pale-faced wizard said softly, emitting a coarse laugh. "Dumbledore probably didn't anticipate this. Look at the people he sent: two half-giants and a child, with only Black being truly strong."

"Don't underestimate those two filthy half-giants and that child, Nott. He's a formidable wizard. Did you forget what he did the night the Dark Lord returned?" a cold voice spoke from the shadows.

"Indeed, that detestable Mudblood. If I get my hands on him, I'll show that boy the true power of Fiendfyre Curse!" a ruthless-looking wizard at the cavern's edge said. "I suggest we attack their camps again. I want Black..."

"That's enough, Macnair. Last time, you didn't follow the director's orders and rushed in recklessly, which alerted the enemy and allowed them to escape. They're on guard now, so another attack won't have any effect. Our focus should be on these foolish giants. How many giants have joined us?" the cold voice in the corner said.

"After our efforts these days, we have over 40 giants on our side..." Nott replied slowly.

"That's not enough. The Dark Lord needs more giants!"

"I suggest we attempt to attack some young giant tribes and capture those who are disobedient," Nott continued, wearing an ugly smile. "Macnair, can you teach them obedience?"

"Of course!" Macnair replied cruelly, licking his dry lips. "I'm eager to work, and I'll use the most brutal techniques to make these disobedient giants feel the Dark Lord's power and the terror of magic."

Suddenly, a loud bang echoed through the grotto, shaking the entire place.

"What was that sound? Is something happening outside?"

"It's those idiots who couldn't control their energy venting their anger. They caused an avalanche earlier."

Macnair stood up. "I heard the sound coming from the mountain lake. Let's take a look."

As the Death Eaters rushed to the mountain summit lake, they were met with a surprising sight. Almost all the giants were gathered there, looking up at the sheer cliff face. The giants' expressions were filled with astonishment, fear, and exhaustion. Many were lying down, clearly overwhelmed.

"What's happening to these giants?" the Death Eaters wondered.

They raised their heads and saw an incredible sight. On the cliff's peak, a 14-year-old wizard named Evan Mason stood, waving his wand to release a bunch of colorful smoke and fireworks streaking across the horizon.

"Is that Evan Mason? What is that boy doing? Is he setting off fireworks for the giants?"

"I don't feel anything besides the ridiculous smoke and fireworks. This boy is courting death."

Macnair once again started to rant angrily, but he suddenly noticed a crimson lightning bolt tearing through the cliff's peak.

With a deafening bang, the entire mountain massif shook. It was a sound the Death Eaters had heard earlier.

Macnair couldn't believe his eyes as he looked at Evan Mason. The strength of that lightning, the magic it contained, what kind of magic was this? What kind of power was this?

Around Evan, a crimson aura resembling molten magma enveloped him and surrounded his body. The energy stones arranged in the Cyclops' magic runes on his forehead continuously poured immense power, which he channeled through his fingertips.

Evan had intended to leave a lasting impression on the giants before departing by destroying this sheer cliff with the Cyclops' power. He had to extend the mountain massif's tunnel to its core to achieve this goal. While the core was now a chaotic world of lava and flames, it was essential to prevent any wizards from discovering the Cyclops again.

Evan waved his wand, sending out colorful smoke and fireworks into the sky, capturing the attention of the giants below. Although these fireworks had nothing to do with the magic he was guiding, they created a visual spectacle for the giants and made them think it was just some kind of phenomenon, not magic. Giants didn't understand magic, so it was easy to leave them with the misconception that the fireworks were a natural occurrence. In the future, when Voldemort and the Death Eaters demonstrated their magic, these giants would likely see it as nothing special.

At the very least, in terms of scale, Evan's magic would be more impressive, making an indelible mark on the giants' memories.

"Indeed, we should depart, but we can't just leave like this..." Evan said, preparing to make a lasting impression on the giants before their departure.

"This is the Mudblood's doing?" Macnair said in astonishment, unable to believe his eyes as he looked up at Evan on the summit.

He noticed Evan raising his wand high, and a series of light beams shot from the wand's tip, creating bright flashes and fireworks in the sky. Macnair, however, couldn't fathom what kind of magic would generate such a fiery and intense aura in the air. He had seen many spells and curses before, but nothing like this. The crimson lightning and thunder flashing around Evan further perplexed him. This was no ordinary magic; it was a display of raw power.

Macnair took a step back involuntarily, his gaze fixed on Evan. Evan's performance was reminiscent of what had happened when Voldemort returned. Although he had previously expressed disdain for his companions, Macnair now realized that the magic Evan was using was beyond his comprehension. That night, he had hidden in the bushes and witnessed the complete Fiendfyre Curse and other powerful dark magic that had taken place. His comrades had been consumed by the flames that erupted from the ground, leaving no trace behind.

Drawing a parallel between those events and Evan's current display, Macnair concluded that this was not magic he could understand. The thought that Evan might be insane briefly crossed his mind, but it was quickly discarded. It made no sense for a 14-year-old wizard to set off fireworks in front of the giants, and Macnair was certain that this had a darker purpose.

Macnair felt a sense of urgency, realizing that whatever Evan was doing needed to be stopped. He shouted, "Damn it, no matter what this Mudblood is up to, we must stop him! Someone grab him quickly!" He cautiously clutched his wand, ready to act.

Although Macnair was determined to intervene, the rest of the Death Eaters hesitated. Each had their own calculations and didn't want to be the first to confront Evan. They seemed to be waiting for someone else to take the lead, leaving Macnair alone in his resolve.

As a result, the scene became an odd standoff. Evan continued his magical display while the Death Eaters, unable to comprehend what was happening, stared at him with anger and fear. It was embarrassing for them, as they, the infamous Death Eaters, were now too frightened to approach a 14-year-old wizard.

Finally, Evan ceased his magical display by retracting his wand and halted the release of magic from the Cyclop's energy stone, letting the power gather in front of him. The giants, looking up in awe, suddenly became frightened. They had never felt the presence of magic like this in their entire lives. An almost suffocating force overwhelmed them, suppressing their very essence. They all reacted similarly to Cacus and Golgomath in the cave, unable to withstand the power and falling to the ground, their mouths muttering pleas for mercy. In the face of the ancestral power of the Cyclops, they had no thoughts of resistance.

The giants were unaware that this display resulted from Evan channeling the Cyclops' energy. They believed it to be Evan's magic, and the experience left an indelible mark on their memories. They looked up at the flashing crimson lightning and the frequent bursts of smoke and fire. Evan's image and the fear they felt were etched deep into their minds. This fear would be passed down through their tribe, ensuring that Evan's story would be remembered and feared for generations.

However, Evan wanted to leave a more lasting impression on the giants that would be remembered forever. He continued to gather and compress the Cyclops' power, channeling it through his fingertips. A glowing crimson energy sphere formed, growing in intensity.

As Evan prepared for the final act, the giants below increasingly panicked. They were unable to comprehend what was happening but sensed the approaching climax. It was a moment of awe and terror for them.

The energy sphere, a vivid garnet color, floated before Evan. Then, with a tremendous bang, the energy sphere exploded. Outside, lightning bolts streaked across the sky, and the ground trembled.

Under the gaze of the Death Eaters and the giants, the ground cracked open, and the cliff face began to split apart. The fissures rapidly spread, creating a massive chasm poised to swallow everything. Rocks tumbled down, and the entire mountain quaked. It was a sight both breathtaking and horrifying.

As the earth shook and the mountain crumbled, the giants, in panic, cried out and waved their arms, attempting to flee. They looked back at the horrifying spectacle, realizing it was a display of magic, something they had never encountered before. In their minds, this was Evan's magic, which terrified them.

Amidst the chaos, the scene was chaotic and surreal. Unbeknownst to the giants, the internal secret passage within the mountain remained hidden, and the Death Eaters were equally puzzled. They were hesitant to act, not knowing the nature of Evan's magic. It was a display of power that none could understand, and they were too afraid to approach.

Evan's form disappeared from his previous location when the destruction finally climaxed. In the eyes of the giants and Death Eaters, he vanished. But they could see the magic rune that Evan had left behind on the cliff above and the crimson lightning descending at an increasingly rapid speed. The uncontrolled power surged through the rune.

Inside the mountain's hidden passages, away from the giants' and Death Eaters' view, the magic rune glowed brightly and released a blinding flash of light.

Bang!

With an earth-shattering explosion, the ground quaked violently, and the entire mountain seemed to collapse. Rocks and debris were sent flying, and the world around them shook uncontrollably.

As everyone closed their eyes to shield themselves from the blinding light, they could hear the deafening roar of the destruction unfolding around them. When they dared to open their eyes again, they saw the face of Evan Mason imprinted in their memories...
