During the beta test, there were top experts who suggested that abandoning the sect's sword skill system and switching to freestyle technique would make flying swords more powerful.
However, this path was soon proven to be effective but not everyone could master it. Those who couldn't master the technique gave up on the system's sword skills and, instead, learned the freestyle technique, which often made them even worse off.
Among the beta test players, there were no more than ten who could be truly considered experts in freestyle technique. At least Traceless Void had never met anyone among his acquaintances able to master this level of skill, including Miao Miao Blue Clothes.
