Chapter 80 - CN Province Incident

Warren was driving his car, heading to CN Province. According to the report from the Fuentebella affiliates in CN Province, they had seen someone who looked similar to the portrait of Maximilian that they had been sent. Troy made a portrait of Maximilian, and they used it to find him. According to the information, the person who resembled him was a lawyer in CN Province.

As Warren crossed the boundary into the province, he headed straight for the headquarters. Upon arrival, he wasted no time in checking additional reports, and began to execute his mission.

....

On a quiet night in CN Province, Kyle found himself in a convenience store, heating the cup noodles he had bought. Seated outside, he patiently waited for them to be ready, passing the time by scrolling through his phone.

He's looking for a new job outside the province.

"I heard J City is a better place to look for a job," he muttered while scrolling on his phone. "This one is hiring..." He checked the details. "Hmm... Not bad," he said.

He searched for other job openings and vacancies. After reading through them, he placed his phone on the table and started to eat his noodles.

.

.

Kaye stepped out of the hotel once again to buy something from the convenience store. Eros and his nanny were already asleep, and she didn't want to disturb the old woman, opting to go herself. While walking, her phone rang, and she felt relief upon seeing Isaac's call.

"Hello? How are you?"

(I'm sorry I only called tonight. Things got serious here; my brother already knows you're alive. I'm very sorry.)

Kaye stopped walking. "W-What? What do you mean?"

(I don't know how they found out, but he showed me the documents about the fake dead body of yours. And now they are looking for you. I-I'm truly sorry, if only I had been more careful, this wouldn't have happened. Please don't be mad at me, I'll fix everything. I assure you they won't find you.)

She could sense the pressure and anxiety in Isaac's voice.

"It's alright, Kiel. Please calm down; I am not mad, so please don't blame yourself."

(We have to lay low. I won't be able to visit you because Mikhail has surely ordered someone to follow me wherever I go. I already found a house for us and settled everything; you can now check out of the hotel and move there tomorrow.)

"I understand, thanks. And I'm sorry I brought trouble again."

(No, don't say that. It's me who's not being careful. I'll see you when I get the chance to escape from Mikhail's men.)

"I'll wait for you, take care."

(I will. You too. See you soon, I love you.)

"I love you too, Kiel."

The call ended. Kaye sighed and stared at her phone. How long will they be in this situation?

She continued walking to the convenience store but paused when she and the man eating outside saw each other. The man dropped his noodles while staring at her in disbelief.

"M-Maximilian?" Kaye's tears welled up.

Kyle stood up and slowly walked toward her. "Kaye?" he muttered.

"I-Is that really you, Max?" Kaye asked.

Kyle immediately pulled her into a tight hug. Finally!

"Kaye! I missed you so much!" Kyle said while hugging her, feeling a mix of emotions.

Kaye cried. "It's been one year, Max! Where have you been? I thought I would never see you again."

"I'm sorry; I tried so hard and did everything I could to find you. But I couldn't find any lead about you," Kyle said.

He broke from the hug and wiped away her tears. "I'm sorry..."

Kaye sniffled. "It's okay... What's important now is we finally met."

Kyle smiled and nodded.

After the emotional reunion, Kaye took Kyle to the hotel and told him everything that happened in the past year. Kyle was shocked, but in the end, he understood her situation. When he laid eyes on Eros, memories of his own son flooded his mind. Tenderly, he approached the sleeping Eros and planted a kiss on his forehead, as if the boy were truly his flesh and blood. Kyle also assured Kaye that he would help her in moving to their new house.

Kaye was immersed in packing their belongings when Kyle hugged her from behind.

"I can't believe you and Aria resembled each other so much," he said.

"Then who do you think was prettier, me or Aria?" she asked.

"Well, Aria was indeed the most beautiful woman in the empire, but that's because she was you. If you hadn't ended up in our world, I don't think I would have fallen in love with Aria. You're not only pretty, Kaye, but you also have a good heart that makes you even more beautiful," he replied.

Kaye smiled. "Stop flattering me."

Kyle chuckled and kissed her cheek. "Will your packing take much longer?" he asked.

"Hmm, I'm almost done. Why?" she asked.

"Can you continue that tomorrow?" he asked again.

Kaye looked at him confused. "Why?"

Kyle showed a playful smile. "It's been more than one year, darling... You have no idea how badly I want to touch you. I've been holding back since earlier; I hope you'll allow me tonight."

Kaye's face quickly turned red. Maximilian's face was also flushed, a strong craving evident in his eyes, and she could feel the heat of his body from his embrace.

"But the nanny is in the other room; what if she hears us?" she said, blushing.

"Then let's keep it quiet," he said and started kissing her.

"C-Can I take a shower first?" she asked.

Kyle smiled. "Let's shower together."

Kaye couldn't stop him now; they both went inside the bathroom. Kaye removed her clothes and turned on the shower. Kyle immediately kissed her, and she embraced him, responding to their passionate kiss. His kisses descended down to her neck.

"M-Max..." she whispered.

Kyle's kisses descended to her bosom. She covered her mouth with her hand to stifle any moans.

But when Kyle began to suck her nipple, she couldn't stop herself and let out a soft moan. Both their bodies were immersed in the heat of lust, and the cold water from the shower seemed powerless against the intense heat coming from their bodies. Kyle's kisses descended down to her belly; he played with her belly button using his tongue. His hands slowly rubbed her legs, which made her flinched.

His hands touched her intimate area, and he looked up at her, his eyes asking for permission. Kaye bit her lower lip and nodded. He spread her legs wider and began to lick it; Kaye gently pulled his hair when she felt his tongue playing inside her.

"M-Max... A-Ahhhh... T-There.." she moaned.

His tongue delved deeper and moved faster inside of her. Kaye trembled as the intense pleasure caused her body to respond on its own. Her hips mirrored the movements of his tongue, following its rhythmic motion.

"D-Don't stop... M-More! A-Aahhh..." she gasped while her eyes were closed.

Her hips moved faster as she felt herself reaching climax. Kyle noticed it too, and his tongue quickened its pace. Just before she reached her peak, she almost fell, her body shaking with pleasure. Kyle kissed her again, then raised her legs. She leaned against the wall with her legs wrapped around his waist. Kaye moaned as he started thrusting inside her. It felt overwhelming.

"K-Kaye... Y-You're squeezing me inside... S-Shittt.." Kyle moaned.

He thrusts faster, her twitching adding to the pleasure. He had yearned for her body, and now that he was with Kaye again, no one could describe his happiness. He bit her shoulder, leaving numerous kiss marks on it.

"A-Ahhh... M-Max.. I... I think I'm coming again!" she moaned.

"Let's cum together..." he whispered.

After a few more thrusts, they both reached the climax. Panting, Kaye remained in his embrace. They engaged in another round, and Kaye lost count of how many times she climaxed. She even fell asleep while Kyle continued thrusting inside her. When Kyle finished, he cleaned her body and carried her to the bed. Putting clothes on her, he hugged her tightly as he fell asleep.

The following day, outside the building of CN Province's famous law firm, Warren rolled down the car window upon seeing their family henchmen walking out.

Warren and Benjamin had ascended to new positions within Fuentebella, transitioning from henchmen to Capos. In their new roles, they oversaw and controlled specific areas in J City, ensuring the successful execution of the underboss's orders. Their primary responsibilities included leading and managing a crew of soldiers, engaging in negotiations, making strategic decisions, and handling various operations.

The henchmen bowed as they reached the car. "How is it?" Warren asked.

"According to the management, the person we were looking for resigned three days ago. Here is the information about him," the henchman said, handing an envelope to Warren.

Warren opened the envelope and perused the documents. Based on his appearance, Kyle Sarmiento did indeed resemble Maximilian—a lawyer with a bad reputation.

"Track his whereabouts as soon as possible. Our underboss hates waiting," Warren ordered.

"Understood, sir," the henchman replied.

Warren closed the car window and left.

.

.

....

Kaye smiled as she gazed at the living room of their new home. With Kyle's help, they had successfully finished moving and unpacking their belongings.

"All we have to do is go to the grocery tomorrow for supplies," Kaye said.

"Alright, let's go grocery shopping early tomorrow morning," Kyle replied.

"Thanks for helping," she expressed her gratitude.

Now, Kyle would be living with them. "It's nothing, darling. I'm your husband," he reassured her.

Kaye smiled again and hugged him tightly.

Isaac and Kyle had accepted her son, and she hoped that others would do the same. However, she was still apprehensive about facing them.

When Eros woke up, Kyle carried him and played with him. His nanny found it suspicious since she met Kyle. She thought that Kaye's husband was Isaac, so why was there another man with them? He didn't act like just a relative; he behaved intimately toward Eros' mother, similar to how Sir Isaac did.

While Kyle and Eros played in the living room, the nanny followed Kaye, who was now in the kitchen.

"Mam..." the nanny approached.

Kaye looked at her. "Yes, yaya?" she asked.

(Yaya - a term used to refer to a nanny or babysitter in the Philippines)

"I know I don't have the right to ask, but..." the nanny fidgeted. "W-What is your relationship with Sir Kyle?"

Kaye paused and stayed silent for a minute. She sighed, considering how she would explain this to her. Nanny Sally had been with her for a year, never asking questions about her past. She was obedient and caring.

Nanny Sally, a widowed woman in her 40s, had no children and no longer had communication with her relatives.

But could Kaye trust her? Would she believe her if she told her everything?

Nanny Sally noticed her hesitations. "It's okay, mam. I know I asked so much; it's your personal life. I'm very sorry."

"No, it's fine. I just don't know how I'll explain it. Someday I'll tell you everything; I hope you'll understand," Kaye said.

The nanny nodded. She left Kaye in the kitchen and went to Eros' room to arrange his toys. However, she was still worried about the child, so she secretly called Isaac.

.

.

....

When Isaac found out that Kaye had brought another man into their house, he grew worried. Who could it be? Kaye wasn't the type of woman to bring strangers home unless she knew them well. Could it be one of her husbands? Had they found her already? Isaac quickly grabbed the car key and left the mansion.

Meanwhile, in Mikhail's office, he received a report that Isaac had left the main mansion again and appeared to be leaving the city as well. He grabbed his coat and car key, swiftly leaving the headquarters to follow Isaac.

.

.

....

Kaye and Kyle were now in the grocery store, carefully choosing the items they needed. Kyle pushed the cart while Kaye made meticulous selections.

"Did you find it hard to live in this world? This world is different from the Serolf Empire. We have advanced technologies and different policies," Kaye said.

"At first, I experienced difficulties adapting to my new environment. It was very challenging, but I managed to adjust and live like the others. Pretending to be someone isn't that hard, but living as him was a big no for me. I don't like the lifestyle of the previous owner of this body. He's a total jerk," Kyle explained.

"I'm sorry. If only we found you quickly, you wouldn't have experienced those things," Kaye said.

"It's alright. In one year of living here, I studied law. My only problem is my workplace. I'm still looking for a firm outside the province that will hire me," Kyle said.

"But you said you're having a hard time because of your background. Will you be alright?" she asked with concern.

Kyle scratched his head and chuckled. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me."

Kaye stared at the fresh milk she was holding. "If only Mikhail were here, he would be able to help you," she muttered accidentally.

Her eyes widened when she realized what she said. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that!"

Kyle smiled and patted her head.

"Please believe me!" Kaye said.

"It's fine, darling. I know you're missing them too. You don't have to pretend and hold back your feelings," Kyle said.

Kaye lowered her head. Indeed, she missed them so much. She looked in other directions, holding back her tears. Kyle watched her, wishing he had information about the others to help them meet Kaye. Although Kaye didn't want to face them, he knew that deep inside, she missed them so much. She was only scared.

After paying for the groceries, they headed back to the parking lot and loaded all the items into the car.

"Are you hungry? Do you want us to stop at a nearby restaurant?" Kyle asked, opening the car door for her.

"Sure, I only ate a little during our breakfast earlier," Kaye replied and hopped in.

Kyle started the engine, and they left.

.

.

....

Warren stood up after receiving the report from the phone call. Thanks to the street CCTVs, they finally found Kyle, and his current location was sent to him. He quickly grabbed the car keys and drove away.

While driving, he received another call. "What is it?" he asked.

(Sir, we have a problem!)

"What do you mean?"

(The enemy found out that you are here! They attacked our headquarters a few minutes after you left!)

He heard gunshots from the phone. Tss...

Those enemies of the Fuentebella family would do anything for revenge. After finding out that one of the Capos close to the underboss had arrived, they immediately took action.

Glancing at the side mirror, he saw black cars following him. "Fuck! Why does it have to be now?" He threw his phone on the seat and drove faster.

A man fired a gunshot, and he quickly avoided it. Grabbing his gun, he returned fire. They continued to exchange gunshots, but he was at a disadvantage since he was driving. Focusing on the road, he evaded the shots. He had to lure them in other directions; they couldn't find out about Kyle.

While driving, the car following him came near. He turned the steering wheel to the left and hit the car beside him hard. The car stumbled and stopped. Another car showed up in front of him. He stepped hard on the accelerator pedal and decided to hit the car in front of him. The man took out his gun and fired at him.

Their cars collided, and Warren's car rolled on the road. The opponent's car exploded. Warren managed to get out of his car, walking on the road with blood on his head and bruises on his body. Holding his stomach, which was shot earlier, he was having a hard time walking, but he had to find Kyle. He noticed that some people survived the collision; he shot them and left quickly in the area.

Will I die in this place? Warren thought.

No, he's the strongest chief of Crimson Blades; he can't die easily. But he's losing too much blood now.

No, I can't die... Kaye is still alive, and I have to meet her too.

His vision was getting blurry. He noticed a car approaching. He couldn't see their faces, but he heard familiar voices before he fell on the road.

.

.

After having lunch, Kyle and Kaye decided to return home. Kaye looked out at the sky while inside the car. "It's going to rain."

"We have to hurry before it rains," she said.

Kyle nodded and drove faster. But while passing the bridge, they noticed smoke coming from the cars in the distance. Kyle stopped driving.

"What's going on?" Kaye asked.

"I think there's an accident over there," Kyle explained. "Should we change our way home?"

Kaye noticed a man walking, wounded. Her eyes widened when she realized who he was. She quickly stepped out of the car and ran to him.

"Warren!" she called, seeing him fall on the road. Kaye burst into tears when she approached him. "W-What happened to you?"

Warren spoke. "K-Kaye... Is that really you?"

Kaye nodded, tears streaming down her face. Warren was shot and bleeding.

"We have to call an ambulance!" she shouted.

Kyle quickly took out his phone from his pocket and called for an ambulance.

"K-Kaye... I'm glad I met you... B-Before I die..." Blood came out from Warren's mouth.

"N-No! You're not gonna die! You can't leave me!" she cried, desperation in her voice. "P-Please don't die!" she begged.

Her tears fell uncontrollably; Warren, with a little strength, managed to wipe some away.

"Y-You can't leave me..." Kaye pleaded. "Y-You said I was the woman you love, right? That you would give your life to me... Then I'm ordering you, don't die! P-Please..."

Warren, surprised, managed a weak smile. So, Kaye still remembered his confession in Serolf Empire.

"P-Please... Please don't leave me!"

The haunting trauma that Kaye experienced when William was struck by a poison arrow resurfaced as she held Ryu lying on her lap. Unlike in the past, there were no priests and mages present to offer their mystical aid. In this dire moment, their only glimmer of hope rested on the approaching ambulance, which was now on its way to provide the necessary medical assistance.

"P-Please, wait a little longer. The ambulance will come soon," she pleaded.

Warren nodded, but consciousness slipped away. Kaye cried out in despair, holding him close. Finally, the ambulance arrived, swiftly carrying him inside.

En route to the hospital, Kaye fervently prayed for Warren's survival, her heart heavy with worry. Kyle was beside her, enveloping her in a tight and comforting embrace.
