Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Settling In

Uxmes, or now Kaiser thinks of what to do now that he's in this new world.

It's not as if Uxmes is in the dark or anything, since he's been watching humans for years he knows all about them.

So of course he knows how to use a phone.

Uxmes grabs the phone near him and starts to find out just who he is.

"My name is Kaiser I'm 16 so I'm still in school hm...and I'm awakened."

"Awakened people are superheroes that just protect the city, It also seems that Kaiser has recently been accepted into an academy for awakened."

"And the first day starts in....2 HOURS?!"

Kaiser packed up as much as he could and even though the world he now lived in wasn't normal didn't mean he couldn't enjoy it.

Kaiser puts on an all-black outfit with a grey jacket. He fixes his hair a bit and leaves his room, upon entering the small hallway that connects his room to the rest of his small home he sees many pictures with him and his parents on them.

He heads to the dining table and sees a small note written by his mother.

(Be sure to not miss your first day!

-Love, Mom.)

Kaiser smiled a bit, he had yet to even meet her and he could already tell she was a kind lady.

He hangs his bag around his neck and walks out to where the bus stop is. There 2 teenagers around the same age as him were sitting down, one a boy and one a girl.

They looked to be siblings, both with the same dark-blond hair and deep blue eyes.

Kaiser sits down next to them and speaks.

"Hello."

They both turn to look at him and reply.

"Oh uhm..hello." the girl says.

"Yo." the other responded.

"A-Are you guys also headed to the academy?" Kaiser looked down at her phone to also see the GPS pointing her to the academy.

"Yeah! it's our first day..We're excited!" The girl was very beautiful and charming, her lush blond hair and blue eyes may have been basic but were sure were enchanting.

"Then that must mean you're both Awakened I assume."

"Obviously~"

"Oh cool.."

The three of them all sat awkwardly until the bus arrived to pick them up.

Kaiser entered the bus first and sat down near the middle, the girl stopped before sitting down and told the bus driver where they needed to go by showing them the GPS.

The girl and her brother also sit near the middle and look out the window as the bus starts to take off.

"Hey, what's your guy's name?" Asked Kaiser.

The dark-blond-haired boy leans forward to get a better look at Kaiser.

"What are you a creep?"

"What? no!" he shakes his head rapidly.

The girl giggles a bit as she watches the two speak.

"Don't mind him, I'm Autumn Gillian and this is Kanbe nice to meet you."

She holds out her hand to shake Kaiser's hand.

"I'm Ux- Kaiser.." He shakes her hand.

"Hm?..oh okay then." She was a bit confused by the sudden change of words he sounded as if he was going to say something else.

They arrived at the Academy pretty fast, as they stepped off the bus they saw the entry part of the building Bustling. Many different people of all kinds surrounded them.

The entry part was large and overwhelming, not to mention the vast university-like building before them. Resting above them on a large arch was a sign that read, 'Hakwine'.

The three of them smiled and walked into the school, inside sat a large marble floor with huge walls with two large stairs leading separate ways. With multiple floors for different rooms and different things, the students all walked to one place where the entry speech was held by the headmaster.

hundreds of chairs sat neatly side by side in different rows before them, the three only knew each other so they chose to sit together.

After everyone was seated a grey-haired man with a stubble beared and a suit walked up to the large stage.

He stepped up to the podium and spoke into the mic that echoed throughout the room.

"First, I would like to humbly welcome our new students." Everyone clapped after just one sentence came from the man's mouth.

"Next, I'd like to introduce myself. I am the headmaster of Hakwine Academy, my name is Gregory Mcfarland, but please just call me Mr. Mcfarland."

Everyone kept clapping as he talked, and the new students were smiling brightly, it was like a dream come true for most students. To be accepted into such a prestigious school.

"Our priority at this academy is to make sure we refine your talents! we are working with you, not against you! remember that."

The headmaster talked for approximately 30 more minutes before ending his speech and walking off the stage.

All of the students stood from their seats and headed into a gigantic gym room where multiple test-like machines were placed in rows.

"Are we getting an evaluation?"

"Yeah! you didn't know?" Autumn replied.

"Oh. Not really."

The students squeezed a cushion-like ball that told them their strength.

"Welp I'm next!" Autumn walks up to the ball and squeezes it as hard as she can.

The screen above the machinery highlighted the number she received.

[4.3].

"Wow! That's way better than I had last year at my other school!" she skips away to the next evaluation.

Her brother, Kanbe walks up with a nonchalant pace in his step and squeezes the ball while keeping one hand in his pocket.

The screen highlighted his number.

[7.9]

The students behind Kaiser were surprised and so were some of the evaluators.

The reason behind this is because most students start with a 3 or above.

And to be nearly an 8 would put him as one of the strongest among the new students or maybe even the others.

[ <<0.1>> ] - Insanely below average.

[ <<0.5>>] - below average.

[<< 1 >> ] - Probably the average unawakened Teenager.

[<< 1.5 >> ]- Probably the average unawakened Body-Builder.

[<< 3, 4 >> ]- Average Awakened

[<< 5, 6 >>]- Above Average

[<<7, 8>>]- Special case

[<<9, 10>>]- Rookie Hero

[<<11, 12>>]- Pro Hero

[<<13, 14, 15>>]- High-Ranking pro heroes

[<<16, 17, 18, 19, 20>>]- Very high-ranking pro heroes

And so, Kaiser walks up near the ball and grips it tight, he squeezes as hard as he possibly can.

[0.5]

Gasps are heard from the other students and the evaluators look shocked that a guy like him made it into the school.

"W- What's wrong? why's everyone doing that?"

"Kek..that's guys weaker than an average unawakened."

The students chattered.

Kaiser just ignored it and headed to the next evaluation.

'How am I even in this school?..was I accepted by mistake?..who knows.'
