"Ring...Ring. "
The blaring alarm on my phone severed the grasp of sleep, forcibly jerking me into sleeplessness.
Rubbing my eyes, I groaned as I realized that morning had arrived.
"My head. "
Relief washed over me as I noticed the absence of the pounding headache that had haunted me the day before.
Slowly, I disengaged myself from the cocoon of my bed, extending my arms and arching my back in a languid stretch.
Today marked my second day inhabiting the world of this novel as a seemingly insignificant character.
"The academy's entrance ceremony is still a month away," I mused aloud to the empty room. "During this time, I can seize some of the opportunities meant for the novel's protagonist. What's the harm? After all, this is the worst novel I've ever written."
I continued, "This novel's not infamous for grammatical errors or a lacklustre plot. It's infamous for its backdrop and its conclusion – something I detest."
Unlike the typical novels where alien races invade Earth through interdimensional rifts, this story unfolded differently.
It all began when humans unearthed a clandestine tunnel buried beneath a pyramid more than two centuries ago.
The government swiftly enacted a prohibition on entering the tunnel, citing potential dangers.
However, curiosity led archaeologists and explorers to defy these orders.
One particularly audacious explorer ventured into the tunnel under the cloak of night, stumbling upon a colossal steel door.
He reported his discovery but was met with suspension for his disobedience.
Nevertheless, word of the door reached the government's ears.
Subsequently, the government sanctioned a team of archaeologists and explorers to investigate further.
Upon breaching the door's threshold, they were met with a staggering revelation – an extraordinary realm teeming with mythical beings.
Elves, Dwarves, Vampires, and Demons lived within, their existence previously unbeknownst to humanity.
Despite the government's attempts to keep the truth concealed, it inevitably leaked, plunging the world into turmoil.
People clamoured to explore this newly discovered world, sparking vehement demands for access.
In a surprising turn of events, the government ultimately resulted in.
They devised a plan to send Earth's forces into the new world a few months later, sparking a flurry of research to understand this enigmatic realm better.
What emerged was a revelation – the new world comprised two continents, East and West.
The East was divided among five major races.
The northern expanse of the continent belonged to the Elves and Dwarves, while the southern and western regions were the domains of Vampires and Demons.
The Eastern part remained barren and mysterious, while the uncharted Western continent fascinated humanity.
Earth's forces eventually crossed to this otherworldly realm, engaging in negotiations with each of the kingdoms to secure their presence.
Elves and Dwarves, both originating from different worlds, accepted humanity's request.
In contrast, Vampires, and Demons declined, deeming humans unworthy.
As anticipated, war erupted between Humans, Vampires, and Demons.
Dwarves aligned with humanity, their relationships with other races having soured over time.
The Elves, bound by their commitment to peace, chose to remain neutral.
With the help of the dwarven's weapons, humanity did their best to fight against their strong opponents.
Despite facing the brink of annihilation, humanity bounced back, defying their seemingly inevitable demise.
Slowly but surely, they pushed back the resistive forces of Vampires and Demons, forging a ceasefire after years of relentless conflict.
Although Vampires and Demons refused to sign a peace treaty, they retreated to the western continent, leaving humanity with a haunting parting message: "This is not the end."
Humanity's rejoicing was inevitably shadowed by the frightening promise of their foes.
Yet, they celebrated their hard-won survival, relief washing over them.
In the wake of this arduous conflict, humanity sought knowledge from the other races in exchange for their promise of future assistance.
Elves and Dwarves readily shared their wisdom, aiding humanity's advancement in countless ways.
Vampires and Demons, however, persisted in their expansion from the west, maintaining their hostility.
With the Elves imparting the art of mana manipulation and the Dwarves contributing their technological prowess, humanity experienced a rapid surge in progress.
Floating castles adorned the skies, flying vehicles darted through the air, futuristic weaponry became commonplace, and immersive VR experiences opened new realms of possibility.
Coming from a world where the height of technology was Artificial Intelligence, I couldn't contain my excitement about exploring this advanced society.
Before embarking on my adventure outside, I decided to examine my current status within this fantastical realm.
