[Third Person POV]
Akio, Adam, Cary and Lucius were ready to fight the giant monster in front of them but they just did not see any opening....after all it was a giant head floating with a golden helmet on. The white in its eyes then completely turned red and blood flowed from its eyes.
The blood droplets then took the shape of a spike. There were hundreds of them and they covered the entire arena. Each one could kill even it if grazed them. Cary immediately went to the front and everybody went behind him. He laid his shield right in front and coated it with mana. The shield absorbed the mana and created three extra blue shields around them.
"Swish!"
The spikes were fired straight towards the shield.
"Clang,Clang"
The sound of the spikes hitting the shield was the same as rain droplets falling on the roof except the later was rather peaceful to listen to. Cary was doing his best to stop the attack but it did not stop. After five minutes of continuously blocking the attack Cary was tired.
He took a mana potion out of his spatial ring and drank it. The head then created two blood swords each big as the room. The sword moved horizontally. Adam and Akio blocked one of each using their sword.
Lucius then rushed at the boss. More blood spikes formed and were fired at him but he dodged all of them using his ' 24 sky move'. He then surrounded his whole body in purple lightning. He thrusted the sword within a gap in the helemt.
"24 Sky Move: Ten Thrusts."
The single spear then turned into 10 more spears and pierced through the gaps while some hit the helmet but that was enough. The lightning then moved through and shocked the head.
"Arghhhhhh!"
The head screamed in pain. All of the blood weapons disappeared. It screamed so loud that Lucious was pushed behind.
'Shit! I may not be able to land.'
The sound wave was still pushing him and not letting him regain a proper posture to land on his feet.
"Got you."
Adam said as he ran where Lucius was falling and caught him. It was a princess carry.
"Yo maiden who almost fell on his face."
Adam made fun of Lucius and he immediately got out of arms. Before Lucius could gain his composure back again, the boss fired two blood spikes at Lucius. Adam quickly used his sword and deflected all of it.
His talent
Cary then casted a earth spell and a large hammer formed right behind the boss. The hammer moved down but a blood shield perfectly blocked it. That was just a distaction. Behind the hammer was Akio ready to attack and he got the chance.
His body was covered by darkness. His sword was radiating intense amount of mana.
'Heavenly Sword: Scattering Slash.'
Thousands of black coloured slashes released from his sword and struck the head. The head again created multiple blood shields but they were not enough to stop Akio's attack. The attacks hit the head and its entire helmet had scratches and some of it even got destroyed.
"Arghhhh"
It again screamed in pain. Adam and Cary did not give the head to recover.
"Light sword: Scorching Ray."
"Earth Magic: Clustering boulder."
A bright golden color sword was fired and boulders were fired at the head.
"Boom."
The attack connected and created a loud explosion. Some parts of the helmet fell down and the back side of the head was completely open. It looked like a normal human head without any hair but he veins were bulging and looked as if they were going to burst any time soon.
The head then stared at them and said in a chilly voice.
" You will pay for this. You broke a piece of my helmet now I shall smash every pieces of bones in your body."
Its aura then got even ominous and stronger. The group knew that the battle had just begun. More blood started to flow from its eye and this time the spikes formed were even more stronger and sharper. Cary was ready to block the attack but before he knew one of the spikes was already right at his face.
"TANG!!"
Akio managed to parry the attack. Cary wanted to thank him but there was no chance to do so. Another spike came at him and this time he managed to block it. Adam and Lucius were also parrying the attack with their weapon but barely, the attack managed to scratch them and they immediately felt dizzy and nausea cause of the boss's ghost ability. Cary also got scratched on his leg and got the same side effects. Only Akio was not hurt
Once the second barrage of the attack. They had run out of breath. They used their mana potion except Cary...he had already used his but all of them refused to drink their health potion cause they were not seriously injured and the side effects would wear off within some time.
"That same attack won't work on us twice."
Lucius shouted as he pointed his sword at Adam. He wanted to point the sword at the boss but because of how shaky he was he accidentally pointed it at Adam.
"Hahahaha! Thy is quite the specimen to think thy knows my strength. Thy snall know my true strength."
The spikes then started to glow.
"Boom!"
All of the spikes exploded. The whole room was covered in smoke and the smell of burnt steak. The boys coated their body with mana in the last moment and survived the blast. The armour Ryujin fave them slowly turned to dust.
"Cough! Cough! Son of a bitch. You had to jinx it."
Adam said as he opened the mana potion and drank it.
Lucius did not say anything and drank his potion as well cause he knew he spoke too soon. Cary also drank his potion but Akio did not. He did not have even a single burn or scratch on him. He rotated his sword at such a high speed that the some of the blast was pushed away but if not for the armour then he would have suffered some minor bruises.
"Bravo. Thy are quite strong. Let me see if you can block another one of these again."
The head was ready to create more spike but it stopped. The four noticed and were ready to go on the offence but the ground below them shook so violently that none of them could attack propelry.
'What did those two do.'
They said to themselves.

Just right below the boss room another colossal battle was taking place. The sound of metal clashing could be clearly heard. It was so rhythmic that one would think that somebody was playing an instrument but it was the sound was of two monsters clashing with each other.
'I do not see any space for me to join the fight.'
Aqua said as he had still not fired a single arrow. He was mesmerized and shocked to see the duel in front of him. Ryujin movement was on par with body. He was using his knife to block one of the sword and Kairos to block the other.
Even though Ryujin was on the defence he was winning. If the body would get too close, he would use Kairos and cut it. The pain made the body stagger and Ryujin would attack it with all his might. There were even more scars on the body then before.
The body hit Ryujin with every single attack in its arsenal but none of them touched Ryujin. He just kept rushing at the boy and did not stop even for a moment. The body swung body of its swords at the same time.
The sword was meters away from Ryujin and cutting him into two pieces.
"Wind Magic: Gust."
"Enchanting Magic: Blessing"
Ryujin casted one wind spell and a enchanting magic to make it stronger. The enchanting spell increased his mana output of the wind spell. Wind blew from his body and momentarily stopped the two swords coming his way.
If Ryujin wanted he could easily evade the attack without doing so much but he had to finish the fight as soon as possible cause he sensed the boss above was abnormal and could cause a lot of problems.
Once the sword stopped for a moment, he rushed towards the back of the body. He had sensed its weakness and it was the vertebrae. The body did not have eyes to see but its its instinct made it aware of the danger. It raised it's foot and tried to stomp Ryujin.
"Swish!"
An arrow flew and hit it in its knee. The arrow then exploded and formed water chains around its leg. Aqua finally saw a gap and he was not going to miss it.
Ryujin went up to its back. He coated his knife in fire magic and imbued mana into his hand wrap and increased his strength form D to B rank momentarily. He jumped and his knife was fully in the body back. The knife moved up as Ryujin momentum was carrying it. Because of the fire the body felt even more pain and Ryujin cut through its whole back.
"Chiss."
The sound of the meat sizzling because of the attack was satisfying to Ryujin. The body fell on its knees. Ryujin looked at Aqua and saw him giving a thumbs up. He gave a faint smile.
'Now time to deal with the one above the ground.'
As Ryujin was thinking that, the body moved. Before he could attack, a unknown force pulled the body up and connected it with the head. The vertebrae in its back started to regenerate. That was the true form of the boss.
Ryujin looked at the information that the system showed him. The boss had level up from an C rank to B rank.
"Why do these bosses have such hidden power?"
Ryujin said to himself and shook his head in disbelief.
