[Third Person POV]
"Take this! It may not be the best but will do the job for now."
Ryujin took out six pieces of armour from his ring. It was a simple armour with gray color. They were E rank and he bought it before coming here. He could make it but he did not have enough time to make one and if he made one it would automatically be a C rank item even if it was made out of plastic. That was the sheer capability of the Rune language.
"Do you have some sort of shop inside your ring like how the hell are you pulling all these stuff?"
Adam said as he wore the armour.He also noticed Ryujin taking out a hand wrap from the ring and wearing it. Adam knew Ryujin was not a big fan of jewellry , except the chain he wore on his neck. He did not ask Ryujin why he suddenly started to wear a ring but now he definitely knew why. It was a really cheat item
The dungeon was really big but empty. There was nothing inside, not even a single mana stones or anything. Since the ghost could attack from any direction they decided to make a formation.
Once they wore the armour they marched forward. Akio and Adam were at the front carrying their sword with them. Cary was a bit behind them and was ready to block any attack that came their way. Lucius was responsible to kill any monsters that came form the right or the left and Ryujin was at the very back evaluating his friends skills.
The problem with ghost type monsters was that it was hard to know where they were coming from. They had no smell, their was no noise when they moved and some could even be invisible.
They had been walking for two minutes but no monster attacked them.
'This is odd.I think we should have met some ghosts by now.'
Aqua was thinking.
"Four ghost from the front. Two coming from the left."
Aqua had jinxed it and all of them got ready for the battle but none of them could see or even feel their presence. The luminous ball did not let of that much light and they would only be able to see the ghosts once they entered into the light. Ryujin could perfectly sense them because of his sixth sense.
He then enchanted and buffed all of them.
"Enchantment Magic: Haste"
The five felt their speed increase a lot and on the ghost appeared right before their eyes. The ghost were levitating. Their feet were rotated and some had no face while some had only one eye with a massive tongue. Their head was also upside down. The five boys got shiver seeing that but Ryujin started yawning.
"Akio and Adam focus on the ghosts coming your way. Aqua support them. Lucius and Cary stick to your position. Four ghosts immediately appeared in in front of them. AKio and Adam swung their sword at the same time. The ghosts in barely managed to dodge the attack. Aqua fired two arrows. Since the ghost were close his shots were a lot accurate.
The ghost managed to dodge the arrow as well but this time Akio and Adam swung their sword again. The ghost on Akio's side was cut in half but the ghost on Adam's side got cut only its neck and it was shallow cut. Adam then took a stance and light bursted out from his feet. He flung himself towards the ghost and this time managed to cut he neck whole.
The two ghosts who were coming at them stopped and got back into the darkness once they saw what happened to their friends but Adam and Akio were quick. Both of them rushed at them and Aqua had already casted a water wall behind the ghosts.
The ghosts could not run and were immediately killed. Adam and Akio then looked at each other and had the same thought.
'He is strong.'
Cary and Lucius were looking at them fighting and were eager to fight as well.
"Swish!"
From his side eye Lucius could see a hand coming his way. He immediately blocked it with a spear but the hand passed through his spear. He had not coated his spear in mana and any mana less attack would pass through the ghost
'Shit!'
The hand was almost at his face but Cary blocked its attack using his shield. The ghost ricochet back because of the impact. This time Lucius did not forget to coat his spear with mana and rushed at the ghost. He moved his spear in a horizontal direction and managed to cut the ghost in half.
Ryujin did not take part in the battle. He was observing every body's movement and was evaluating their performance. He closed his eyes and played back the fight in his mind.
'Akio uses more mana then needed. Aqua gets anxious when using a bow. Lucius panics easily. Cary focuses more on strength than movement and speed and Adam is just the opposite.'
If any other person saw them fight then they would be impressed by their teamwork but not Ryujin. He too was impressed that they acted according to his commands but he wanted their power to rise to the next level.
Lucius looked around and realized, they had killed only five ghosts and one of them was could not be seen. He looked at his right and saw a ghost rushing at Ryujin. He imbued his spear with lightning and swung his spear. I formed a crescent like purple lightning but barely missed the ghost.
The ghost swung its hand at Ryujin. Everybody was ready to attack the ghost but it was too late, its hand was now only an inch away from Ryujin's neck.
"Shrieekkkk.."
The ghost screamed. The boys could not see what happened cause the ghost's back covered their view. The ghost fell on its knees and grabbed its arm. The wrist was erased clean and it felt inimical pain from it. It was rolling on the ground. The boys stopped in their tracks and felt pity for the ghost. His Divine Ability was a godly and immeasurable force that nobody could stop.
Ryujin opened his eyes and looked at he ghost shouting in pain. He knelt, injected mana into his hands and grabbed its hair. He then looked at the ghost straight in the eyes for a few seconds and the ghost passed away.
His friends were shocked because of the scene that they had just witnessed.
'He literally scared a GHOST to death.'
They gulped in admiration and fear of his Divine Ability.
The ghost actually died from the pain but still it was scared when it met eyes with Ryujin. He walked towards his friends and put his hand on Lucius's shoulder.
"Well done everyone but the enemy we fought was just E rank and as we go on they will get stronger."
Ryujin said and asked them to move along. The ghost came coming from every direction and each time the boys had to take instruction from Ryujin otherwise it would be too late for them to react.
' I know now what I want these guys to learn from this.'
After fighting twenty monsters, Ryujin knew the key thing they were missing and it was intuition. They would not be able to replicate Ryujin's sixth sense...nobody could but he wanted to unlock their inner voice and listen to it. In critical moment, listening to your gut is the best option.
As they kept on walking all of them except Ryujin were tired.
"Crumble"
"Huh! Whats happening?"
Lucius said as the ground shook and crumbled under his feet. The ground below him collapsed and but he managed to jump away and landed on the safe spot. Cary also did the same, while Adam and Akio were already in the safe spot but Ryujin and Aqua were not.
They could not jump so far like Lucius and the ground crumble too fast. Ryujin and Aqua fell underground.
"Ryujin, Aqua."
Adam shouted. Both of them fell in a instant. Aqua did not know what had happened. He was falling head first....he knew that but he panicked and could not do anything.
'I am going to die. I need to do something. What can I do?'
In a span of two seconds he had many thoughts but his body could not do anything. Before his head could hit the ground, he felt a gust of wind swirling around his body and slowed his fall.
He landed on his head but it did not hurt a bit and beside him Ryujin landed on his feet. Aqua looked at Ryujin calm face. He then walked toward Aqua and picked him up.
'How much has he trained and gone through be this tranquil?'
"Ryujin,Aqua..Are you guys fine?"
Adam said as the four of them peeked down from the hole
"Yeah! We are. Just keep moving forward, Aqua and I will explore from the ground...there is a tunnel here and I sense something there."
'Are you an animal or something?'
ALl of them thought but nobody said it out loud.
Akio nodded and the four of them above walked but Adam casted another luminous ball and sent it to Ryujin. He had already sensed that the ground was not in good condition. If it was a trap then it would not lead to somewhere but he did not say it cause he wanted to check if anybody else would notice but he did not.
'I cannot judge them for that. It was not a trap and was really hard to notice as well.'
"Lets go now Aqua."
Aqua just nodded. Ryujin noticed that Aqua was still thinking why he could not act when he fell. That is why he wanted them to act on their gut feeling as sometimes calculating something takes a lot of time. He smacked Aqua's back.
" Forget about what happened, focus on the task on hand. You definitely panicked and confused yourself with what to do . It is good to act rather than think about something again and again and questioning yourself.It may not be true but in such critical situation where every moment counts and it is fine if you let your intuition do the magic. After all it is the inner voice trying to aid you."
Aqua understood what he meant. He looked at Ryujin's back as he was leading the way.
' I am glad to have you as my first ever friend.'
He said to himself as he smiled inwardly.
