[Third Person POV]
Ryujin jumped up from building to building. He could not ride a train nor catch a cab. The heroes would come and arrest him immediately. He used Rune Magic to increase his speed.
After 30 minutes he reached the northern side of the city. Once her reached the place, he could see a large building which was floating from the ground. The building was the headquarters of the Pegasus guild. There were four buildings connected by a glass bridge. Ryujin could see hundreds of heroes inside the arena. Even though Ryujin wanted to destroy the Pegasus Guild because of the guild master, these employees probably did not know that their own leader whom they worked with to fight evil would be the most visicous of them all.
Ryujin then activated his sixth sense: active mode. He could sense mana and people around the radius of 200m. No barrier in the world could stop Ryujin's ability but he did't find anything suspicious. Ryujin then activated his Nagis eye.
"Arghhh!"
A small grunt escaped from his mouth. There was always a burning sensation whenever he used it. He still hadn't got used to this ability and also did not have any time to train it. or maybe he was just too lazy to train. It was definitely the latter.
His usual hazel eyes were completely gone and were substituted by the mix of red and orange color. His vision expanded to one km and different color and form of mana flow were visible to him. As his eyes were scanning around, he saw that the mana flow stopped at a particular spot.
He jumped from buildings again but this time he couldn't rush towards the spot. The security around this place was even tighter and one wrong move and the whole Pegasus guild would be after him. The area he reached was the apartment provided by Pegasus guild to heroes who worked at night and also to people who needed some place near to the work.
"I can clearly see the mana flow inside the building but now below the ground. It is quite impressive that this people built such a high tech hiding spot without letting anybody know about it."
Even though only humans could make use of mana that didn't mean that mana could not flow into the ground and it was definelty unusual for the mana to now to flow around the ground around a certain spot in the whole town. Even if there was an underground facility then there must be some flow of mana cause mana flows in air and every human needs air to survive. The most out of thing was that how could not other heroes not feel that mana was missing. It would be pretty obvious to even an D-rank hero.
If Ryujin didn't use Nagis eye then it would have taken him some time to find it even when using his sixth sense. Now came the hard part, how was Ryujin supposed to enter their lair. Just because he knew it was there did not mean he could just enter it as if it was his own home.
There could even be some of hidden code they must need to enter and this Flint guy was supposed to be dead as well. There was also no entrance to get inside that place. Nagis eye and sixth sense:active mode could not find the entrance as there was no flow of mana visible so he had only one choice and that was to use Sixth sense: passive mode. Unlike the active mode, this mode did not need to be used consciously. It was always on and would respond to any kind of danger and Ryujins subconscious mind.
Right now his sense was pointing to inside the building. How did these guys manage to make an entrance for villains inside the building go heroes. Ryujin could not go inside the building in his attire.
" I could use Illusion magic but there is a lot of chance that I can get caught but i cannot go back without finding anything now and it looks like only the heroes under the guild are allowed to enter."
Ryujin used Rune magic and changed himself into an old man. He casually dropped down and walked towards the building.Once he reached the gate, a guard stopped him.
"Excuse me but only heroes are allowed to enter buildings. We cannot let anybody else enter."
"Oh"
Ryujin acted to be disappointed.
"My daughter works here. She hasn't been home since a long time and she has not picked up my calls not my messages. I just want to know if she is here. Can you ask someone if she is here? Please fulfill this old man's wish."
Ryujin stuttered as he talked and even got some tears out. His acting was worthy of an award. The guard got a emotional.
" I still cannot let you go inside but I will ask someone to check if she is here. At the mean time."
The guard then brought out a chair and place it outside the gate.
"You can sit here. Can you tell me what her name is?"
"Oasis. That is my daughter's name."
Ryujin just blurted out a name from the list of heroes that the system showed who worked for the guild.
" If she is inside then I will ask her to come out and can only inform you if she is on duty."
"Thanl you! Young man."
The guard then went inside the building. Ryujin sneakily threw a miniature camera at his back. The camera blended with the outfit the guard was wearing.
'Phew! If he had checked me or even just touched me then this would not have worked. I guess luck is on my side today.'
Ryujin closed his eyes and the system showed him. the view from the camera. The camera quality was really bad but it was enough for Ryujin to look inside the building.Ryujin could see huge hall with big counters and large number of elevators inside the building. The guard stopped right at the counter and started talking. Even by looking from an camera, he could sense mana inside the counters, tables, elevators except one of the elevators was out of place.
The colors and design of the elevator was same as the others. People were using it to read their floors but ryujin sixth sense told him one thing....the elevator led to a dangerous place.
The heroes were definitely entering the elevator but none of them seemed to be suspicious of the space around them. Whoever designed this magic system must be an S-rank or a master of their craft. Without sixth sense even Ryujin would not be able to know about the elevator.
Before Ryujin could analyze the hall even more, the guard turned around and came back to the gate.Ryujin opened his eyes. The guard made a solemn expression.
"Your daughter is on a mission right now and I cannot disclose the information about where she is but I assure you that she is fine and return to your home very soon."
Ryujin stood up from his chair and bowed a bit. He acted to have some problems with his back as he showed his thankful gesture to the guard.
"You have my gratitude."
The guard got flustered. He reached out his hand so he could stop him from bowing. However, before his hands reached him Ryujin grabbed the guards hand not too tightly. He risked revealing his fake image but he had no other way.
Ryujin then casted two magic spells. One of them would make the guard sleepy. He used a high level but because of the guards rank he would faint for only ten seconds. The second spell was a growth spell. The system showed Ryujin the guards potential and he was bound to reach only C-rank and he had already reached his limit.
The spell would help him to break pass his limit and potentially reach A-rank. Why did ryujin so this? He had only met the guard ten minutes ago but in those ten minutes he saw the good nature of this man.
' To me this person is the definition of hero. Some one who works for the good of others and not expect any rewards for his effort. A person who works to protect the smile of strangers is the force I need to fight what is about to come and I hope my powers help him reach new heights and become a hero that everyone admires.
