[Third Person POV]
Ryujin kept hugging Ciel and didn't let go of her. She also didn't want him to let go. Both of them were enjoying each other embrace but they had to let go when they heard footsteps on their way.
A maid opened the door. She had bought food for Ryujin.
"Mr.Ryujin your lunch.. Oh lady Ciel...Apologies, I didn't notice you were here."
"Its fine. Just leave the food on the table.Bring some fo me as well"
"As you please."
The maid brought another tray of food and placed it on a table of the room.
There was a variety of food.
Ryujin and both sat beside and ate their luch.
"You definetly looked like a young mistress from a noble family when you ordered the maid."
Ciel took a bite of her food.
"But I am a young mistress from a powerful noble family."
"Haha! That is true."
Ryujin was now deep in his thoughts. He was thinking about telling some of his secrets to Ciel but he couldn't reveal everything now.
"Ciel. I have something to confess."
"Hmm... You already said that you loved me."
"No. Not that."
Ciel felt a lot more confident after she knew Ryujin loved her as well. She got bolder and didn't hesitate to tease Ryujin.
Ryujin also was taken back by Ciel's sudden change of attitude towards him but he didn't
mind about it. He wanted to reveal his past to Ciel one at a time.
" I want to tell you some of my secrets Ciel. It will take me some time to open about it but I will tell you for sure."
Ciel felt generosity from him. Letting someone know your secrets can leave you vulnerable and not everyone can do it.
"Ok but in my opinion I don't think it is necessary that I know about it after all I love you becasue of your present not your past."
Ryujin smiled a bit when Ciel spoke those words to him.
" I respect your opinion but still you are going to be part of my future and you have every right to know about my past as well."
Ciel nodded but inside her head she was already imagining something.
'I would want to get married at 24 and have kids when I cross 30.Wait! To have kids we have to do that right. Will we do it before we get married?'
She started drooling while imagining her future. Ryujin snapped his fingers to get Ciel out of her head.
"Ciel. Snap out of it."
"Oh! soryy."
"What I am about to say might sound absurd but it is true. I swear on my life."
"I will believe in you don't worry."
Ciel took a sip of water and looked at Ryujin. Ryujin took a deep breath to calm himself.
"I am the Rune Mage."
"Pffftt."
Ciel spat all of the water in her mouth over Ryujin. Ryujin whole face was covered in Ciel's mouth water.
Ciel grabbed a towel and wiped off the water.
" I am so sorry.Its just that,you just told me something absurd."
After she wiped off the water, her brain started to process the information that Ryujin just gave.
"Wait a minute! You are the infamous Rune Mage from the legendary mercenary group Atropis!"
Ciel shouted on top of her lungs while saying that.
"Shh! Someone might hear us."
Ciel calmed herself. Her brain was on fire. She still had to process the fact that her lover was the Rune Mage that villians feared and the heroes looked up to.
"Show me."
Ciel came closer go Ryujin. Ryujin backed away.
"Isn't it to early to show you my penis."
"No you pervert, not that. Show me a rune magic spell. Oh..you are not allowed to use your magic right now."
Ryujin didn't heed to Ciel's word. He casted a Rune magic spell. A magic circle with complex characters appeared in his hand. The magic spell gained a blue colour and then a snowflake appeared from it.
Ciel's jaw dropped seeing that. She knew that Ryujin had an affinity for only fire and wind magic but seeing how he casted an ice magic effortlessly, she was sure that he was the Rune Mage. Not that she ever doubted.
Ciel didn't speak anything for a while. She then clocked something.
" You know that you have a bounty on your head as the Rune Mage right?"
"Yup."
Ciel folded her arms and looked into the ceiling.
"The Oppressors have put a bounty of 10 billion$ for the Rune Mage. Alive or Dead. Now that you took part in killing an Orien, they will put a bounty on your head not as the Rune Mage but as Ryujin.
"Yup."
"There is no 'yup' about this. You have now two seperate bounties on your head. If the villians ever find out then they won't let you live in peace."
Ryujin took a sip of water.
"They won't be able to touch a single strand of my hair so don't worry. I will be fine."
Ciel sighed. She knew that Ryujin was hiding something but not something this big.
'It is my responsibilyy to protect him. I will do anything to keep him out of harms reach.'
Ryujin could see fire in Ciel's eyes.
'She is really determined. I just hope she doesn't lose herself in pursue of her goals.'
"Now what?"
Ciel asked Ryujin. The Oppressors were sure to put a bounty on his head. They needed a plan asap.
Ryujin thought about Ciel's question for a while but he didn't have a concrete plan.
"I don't have a plan yet. I have to think about it. There is no need to rush."
Ciel was shocked by Ryujin's calm demenaour. She had never seen some this chill when they had a bounty . Well, in the first place she had never met someone who had a bounty.
'Sometimes he just acts as if he his immortal.'
Ciel didn't know Ryujin's true powers. If she did, she would have fainted by now.
"Do you have any plans Ciel?"
"No.I haven't though of what I can do to protect you yet. I can ask the guild to do it but that might mess things even more."
"No. I mean do you have any plans now ?"
" I don't think I have any"
"Lets go on a date then."
Ryujin said with a straight face
"Whaa- Date. Out of nowhere."
Ciel flustered. She wasn't ready for a date in her relationship this early.
"I mean. We are free right now and we need a break after that heavy battle."
"Ok. Then lets go."
Ciel immediately accepted his invitation. She also wanted to take Ryujin's mind off somehwere else.
"I will ask the butlers to bring you clothes. I will go change as well."
"Ok."
Ryujin replied to her with a smile.
Ciel rushed out the room happily. She was deally excited to go on a date. She had been imagining this since she realized she loved Ryujin.
'I can't believe it's true. I am really goung out with him. Oh my god what should I wear. I should ask the maids to bring me the best clothes in the town.'
As soon as Ciel left the room, the smile on Ryujin's face vanished. He could hear a woman's voice in his head.
"Haha! Fate has really screwed you over. You ran away from me but still you ran away in circles and now are again intangled with me .No matter where you go I will follow you. You will never be free from my grasp Ryujin."
Ryujin was tired of hearing this voice. He hated it to his vey core.
"When will you admit that I was never under your grasp? You never haunted me and never will."
The voice inside Ryujin's head stopped speaking for a while.
"Hmm.. That is true as well. Your state of mind is impenetrable . I have been haunting you for 8 years now and still, it had no effect on you and I know it never will.You could sasily erase me using your Divine Ability. I wonder why you still haven't completely killed me. But now that 'she' is in your life, you cannot get rid of me. What kind of face will 'she' make when 'she' realizes what you did Ryujin? I cannot wait for that. Heheh"
The voice then started laughing loudly. Ryujin used his meditation technique and the voice disappeared.
"I will never let you win. She will be free and I will make sure, you will never be able to touch her ever again."
