[Arthur's POV]
When the boy said his name, I was somewhat surprised. I recognized the name, but I didn't remember his face.
As my memory serves me right. Ryujin was one of three human beings in the world that possessed a divine ability.
His divine ability was called 'Erase'.
Within a span of two meters of his body, he could easily erase most things from existence.
It was a cheat ability, but had a limit. He had to charge his attack before releasing it. The stronger the opponent the longer it took him to charge his attack.
His divine ability did not utilize Mana. It used his will and faith. That is why a divine ability is considered the best.
As I was thinking about his divine ability, Ryujin succeeded in blocking Cerebretus's attack. He pulled me up , lifted me up and began to run carrying me. He had princess carried me.
I realized the situation and I yelled, "Hey! Put me down this instant."
Ryujin was watching me with a furrow of eyebrows. He also started screaming, "Shouldn't you be thanking me for saving your life, and right now you're in no position to complain so SHUT THE FU*K UP!"
I was shocked. How many people have cursed me in my face, zero. Since I became a SS-rank nobody had told me to shut up. That guy made 'em both without any hesitation.
As we were arguing the Orc suddenly appeared at our side. It was swinging its blade in a descending direction.
Ryujin stopped in his track. I yelled "Why did you." but I couldn't finish my sentence. The sword landed right in front of us.
If Ryjin never stopped, we could have been crushed. I was wondering if he knew an attack was about to happen or if it was just luck.
Then the Cerebretus fired a fireball at us. Instead of dodging it, he simply blocked the attack and then jumped.
I looked down to see that the Orc had already swung his sword. His decision to block and then jump to avoid the attack was perfect.
At that moment I thought"Did this guy see the attack? Does he have future sight?"He knew an attack was coming bedore the attack even happened. What a monstrous instinct.
I heard Ryujin mumble something, a magic circle appeared in his hand. As soon as he completed his magic spell, multiple magic circle appeared in front of the Orc's face
Ruyjin then chanted again

Boom!!! Boom!!!
The attack hit the Orc in its teeth. The attack itself wasn't powerful but the chain of lightning caused some of its teeth to break.
"Shriek!!! Shriek!! " The Orc let out a painful roar. The Cerebretus also started to howl as if it was feeling the same pain.
I was astonished. Ryujin then found a chance to escape so he ran as quickly as he might.
I looked at him and knew that he was not fine. The magic he used must have used a lot Mana. Otherwise, he couldn't make a dent in the orcs tooth.
I asked him" So you arethe Rune Mage?"
He only nodded. He was too exhausted to speak.
In a worn-out tone, he said, "I hope you will keep it a secret." This time I nodded.
He pointed at the two monsters and exclaimed" The teeth are not normal. It looks like they work as some sort of connection. We need to break it."
"Once we break it maybe the bosses lose their sense and attack each other."
"How do you know that these teeth act as a source of connection?" I asked him doubtfully.
"Have you any seen an Orc with those types of teeth? No right. When the teeth were broken from the attack even the Cerebretus felt pain."
"There's no way these monsters would cry for each other. Plus, I feel fishy about those teeth."
His reckoning and observation of a few moments of battle impressed me. It looked as if this sense was absolute.
"Lend me an ear I have a plan" as he said he started to work out his plan.

[Third Person POV]
"Are you sure this is going to work boy?"Arthur asked Ryujin.
Ryujin simply shrugged his shoulder and replied" If you have a better plan then tell me. If not then do what I said and stop complaining like an old man."
" Oh wait!! You are an old man," Ryujin said sarcastically.
Arthur wanted to say something back, but both of the monsters had already recovered.
The Orc rushed toward Ruyjin. The land started to shake as it had launched itself.
The sword of the Orc was now covered in wind element. It swung in horizontal direction.

Cerbretus moved to attack Arthur but this time Ryujin had his back. Ryujin chanted
Swoosh... Ten vines with thorns appeared and grabbed Cerebretus. The thorns couldn't penetrate its thick skin since it was E tier magic, but because of the Rune Magic the spell was made stronger.
The vines would hold out for 5 second, but that was enough for Arthur to land an attack. Arthur then used
On the other hand Ryujin also chanted a buff spell Herculean strength> and cast it on Arthur Arthur felt his power increase by 10%, which was more than enough. He punched the Orc in its chin. Thwack!!! Every tooth of the Orc broke and Both of the monster screamed their lungs out. The Orc staggered. Ruyjin didn't miss the moment. He rushed towards the Orc's leg Once near his feet, he stretched out his arm and moved it horizontally on the leg of the Orc. Ryujin used "Hey old man finish this." Ryujin commanded Arthur. "Don't tell me what to do brat. I am older than you."Arthur replied as he started to chant a spell.A massive magic circle formed where the Orc was gonna fall. "don't smash your back."Ryujin said with a weird smirk in his face. Veins popped in Arthurs head.He wanted to say something, but he didn't want to miss a chance to kill the Orc. Arthur chanted A 20 meter long ice spear appeared from the ground. The spear pierced the Orc in its back. The entire spear had penetrated and the blue ice was covered in red blood. ****** The orc was dead. Arthur was relieved, but while looking at Ryujin, Ryujin was coughing blood. "Mana exhaustion. That brat won't last for long. I have to finish this as soon as possible." While Arthur was reflecting on this, Cerebretus began to roar. The pressure it was releasing was even more intense. Looks like the teeth of the Orc also restrained some of Cerebretus power.It was now at its full power. The Cerebretus had already charged it's attack. This time every head was using "Move!!!your in no state to fight."Arthur ordered Ruyjin. Arthur wondered how was Ryujin still standing. His clothes were ragged. He had blood all over his body. One attack could bring Ryujin down. However, Arthur looked at Ryujin. "Save you Mana. Every spell you used since the battle was an S-rank spell. I will block the attack. Prepare another offensive spell." Arthur watched Ryujin extend both of his hands to block the attack. Arthur looked at Ryujin's hand. Ryujin's hands trembled because of fatigue, but at that moment it seemed that Ryujin's hand could even stop God's attack. Arthur began preparing his offensive spell. He felt immense guilt. He asked himself, "To what extent have we fallen so that a child protects us, adults? He could be down any minute, but still his heart doesn't waver. How man times has he been this situation to stay this calm? I wonder what life you have lived until now boy? How many lives have you rescued with your hands?." Ryujin looked at Arthur and with a smile on his face, he calmly said" Let's end this old man." Arthur couldn't speak. Tears were pouring in his eyes, not because he was sad because of the pride he felt fighting alongside such a marvelous human being. Arthur looked at Ryujins back again and simply said" Our fate and future is in safe hands."
