Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

On a planet located in the Sol System a primitive world sat a planet called Earth, a battle raged between two ancient factions that had been locked in a war spanning millennia, one that had drained their home planet of Cybertron of all its resources.

The Decepticons and Autobots stood at opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Autobots champions of equality and freedom, On the other hand, the Decepticons, who wish to conquer and plunder everything in their path to fuel their war machine.

____

Megatron:

The Nemesis Warship had begun mining operations on a vast, untapped energon vein one of the largest veins on this primitive world.

The abundance of energon from this vein would provide my Decepticons with fuel for the next few hundred years.

A glance to my right revealed Soundwave, my resident spymaster and loyal subordinate.

Soundwave, the quiet sentinel in the shadows of the Decepticon ranks. While others may underestimate him due to his lack of verbosity, I know that his true value lies in his loyalty, intelligence, and unwavering commitment.

His voice, rarely heard by others, is a tool of precision and purpose. It resonates with the hum of machinery and the buzz of encrypted data.

His alt mode, the embodiment of surveillance and communication, underscores his role as the watchful eye of the Decepticons.

Soundwave's loyalty is a pillar of strength upon which I can always rely.

He took a vow of silence on Cybertron, a testament to his dedication to our cause.

His silence speaks volumes each action and movement is a declaration of his loyalty to me, Megatron, and to the Decepticon ideals we uphold.

In a faction that grapples with power struggles and ambitions that threaten to fracture our unity, Soundwave is a stabilizing force.

His loyalty is not tethered to fleeting desires or personal gain.

Instead, it's rooted in a deep understanding of our cause change, autonomy, and the pursuit of a new order.

His analytical mind processes data with a precision that few can match.

He sees patterns where others see chaos, and his insights guide our strategies.

Soundwave is my confidant, a trusted advisor who needs no spoken words to convey his understanding.

The Decepticons need figures like Soundwave loyal to the core, free from personal agendas, and driven by principles rather than ego.

He embodies the very essence of what we strive for a world reshaped by our ideals, a world where power is wielded for the collective good rather than individual gain.

Soundwave's presence in our ranks is a constant reminder that amidst the noise and tumult, there are those who remain true.

His loyalty binds us together, and his calculated actions contribute to the greater Decepticon cause. With Soundwave by my side, I know that our pursuit of a new Cybertron is not in vain, for his loyalty is a beacon of hope that guides us through the darkest of times.

I trusted him more than any other, but the same could not be said for the figure to my left.

Starscream, my useless second in command, stood there.

Honestly, if I had any other seeker, I would replace him but most of them are dead or on missions across the universe.

Starscream, the embodiment of ambition and treachery within the Decepticon ranks.

His name resonates with a mix of exasperation and caution, a constant reminder that even within our glorious faction, danger can lurk in plain sight.

At first glance, Starscream appears to be the very essence of Decepticon ideals, ambitious, cunning, and fiercely determined.

He hungers for power, craving the leadership position that I hold.

Yet, his ambition is tainted by his willingness to undermine and betray, a trait that sets him apart from the true essence of our cause.

His thirst for power isn't inherently wrong; it's a driving force within the Decepticons.

However, it's the lengths to which he'll go to achieve it that concerns me.

His schemes and plots know no bounds, and he'll exploit any vulnerability or discord within our ranks to further his own agenda.

Starscream's loyalty is fickle, swayed by the winds of opportunity and self-interest.

He'll pledge allegiance to me one moment and then plot my downfall the next.

His disloyalty disrupts the unity we need to accomplish our goals, threatening the very fabric of our faction.

His actions speak volumes about his nature. Starscream may bear the Decepticon emblem, but he lacks the unwavering dedication that defines us.

He fails to understand that power must be earned through loyalty, sacrifice, and shared commitment to our cause.

In his pursuit of leadership, Starscream forgets that true power comes from more than just holding the position it comes from inspiring and leading by example.

He fails to grasp that to lead, one must be prepared to serve the greater good, not just satisfy personal desires.

Despite his flaws, Starscream is a cautionary tale to any decepticon.

His existence reminds us that while ambition is a driving force, it must be tempered with loyalty and a willingness to put the Decepticon cause above personal gain except my own because I am the Decepticon cause.

Starscream embodies the challenge of leading a faction where personal ambition can erode the unity and purpose we strive for.

He serves as a reminder of the difficult choices I must make as the leader to confront the treacherous elements within our ranks while upholding the core principles that define us.

In which i normally discipline Starscream brutally and it helps as a stress reliever and it has the added bonus of keeping the troops in line.

Megatron: "Starscream, what is taking so long?"

Starscream's expression held a mixture of fear and hesitation as he turned to question Soundwave.

Soundwave displayed a live feed of Optimus and his followers attacking the mine.

Today was the day, today, I would finally vanquish Prime.

I strode to the exterior of the Nemesis, leaped off, transformed into my alt mode, and rushed into battle, transmitting a message on the Decepticon comms.

Megatron: "Gather around, Decepticons. Today, we vanquish our enemy."

Optimus was in the thick of it, leading the Autobots. They seemed to be gaining the upper hand, but I couldn't let that stand.

With my transformation cog pushed to its limit, I smashed into Optimus, transformed, and hurled him across the mine.

Megatron: "Prime, you survived our last encounter, I see. I shall ensure you don't leave this place with your spark intact."

Optimus climbed out of the small crater, his expression a mix of sadness, regret, and determination.

Optimus Prime: "Megatron, I won't allow you to plunder another world for your war machine."

Megatron: " You forget Prime everything is mine to plunder my ever growing hunger for power and destruction will never end until every single last, Autobot spark is extinguished."

Prime extended his blades, his resolve evident. Good. It wouldn't be a fitting end if he didn't put up a fight.

Megatron: "Excellent, Prime. Put up a fight so I may remember this moment for eternity, even after I extinguish your spark."

I charged towards him, my blade extending from my cannon. We clashed, exchanging slashes and dodges, punches and kicks, using the terrain to our advantage.

Jumping back, I unleashed my fusion cannon upon Optimus, the blast hitting its mark. Advancing towards him, I intended to finish it.

Optimus: "Forgive me."

Megatron: "Forgive you for—ahhh!"

Agony surged through my frame. Smoke billowed from the rents in my armor. Staggering, I fought to stay upright, refusing to show weakness to anyone, even Prime.

[EMERGENCY DAMAGE SUSTAINED. SYSTEMS SHUTTING DOWN.]

As my vision blurred and darkness encroached, Soundwave rushed towards me.

____

General Pov:

Silence enveloped the battlefield.

Soundwave fought through the Autobots, clearing a path to his master.

He brought Megatron toward the Nemesis.

Starscream's cry pierced the air, concern temporarily displacing his ambition.

The echoes of their reactions resounded across the battlefield, like a surreal chorus.

Beyond the Decepticons, confidence surged among the Autobots.

Optimus Prime's optics held sadness and regret, a testament to the weight of his actions.

His soldiers emotions, their faces reflecting disbelief and uncertainty, shock, the aftermath of the battle etched upon them.

However, retreat was inevitable as the energon mines explosion threatened all.

Optimus, putting aside his emotions, called for a groundbridge and ensured the Autobots' escape.

Similarly, under Starscream's command, the Decepticons retreated.

The Nemesis descended from the sky, casting a shadow over the battleground.

Decepticons surrounded Megatron's fallen form. Every warrior boarded the ship.

Its engines roared, cloaking technology engaged, and the vessel departed, leaving behind a battlefield seemingly untouched by conflict.

The energon vein, once tantalizingly close, is now gone the precious lifeblood of their race.

The explosion's devastation caught the attention of observers, scanners tuned to energon across the galaxy, alerting them to a disturbance on this distant world.
