The chat between them felt natural, almost like they'd known each other for ages. Anna could feel the heat rising to her cheeks as she realized the way she was beaming at him. She quickly looked down at her hands, trying to get a hold of herself. Was this normal? Were these the kinds of things you talked about with someone you'd just met?
Ray, for his part, was enjoying the way Anna's eyes lit up as they talked. There was something about her that he found intriguing, and he felt a strange connection to her.
They drove a few blocks before arriving at the New York Coffee House. The driver pulled over and stepped out of the car to hold the door for Anna.
"Why don't you choose a table while I go get us something?" he asked as they entered the café.
"Okay." She mumbled.
