I looked at the human in front of me with interest. He was certainly an interesting one.
'One encounter and he already has the fame and bounty that many pirates can only dream of ever achieving. That's not something you see everyday,not to mention the type of reaction he invoked from the navy. I haven't seen them move this much since that incident'.
Still, the look that adorned his face was that of a battle hungry one, something you don't see on many pirates these days, who only care about treasure and indulging in whatever personal fantasy they desire. While that thought passed through my mind,i raised my right hand,signaling my companions to relax.
I focused my full attention on the pirate once more as i felt responded to his intent to battle in kind with my own before i spoke up a grin adorning my face,
" Seems like the Navy neglected to point out your hunger for battle in that Newspaper''. He smirked at that as he said in a playful tone,
'' Not like you trust 99.9% of what they publish in the outlet anyways. Besides, i don't think i'm the only ones raring for a fight, am i? And you're certainly a worthy opponent to test my self against''. A frown crept to my face as i spoke ,hint of disappointment apparent in my voice,
" Oh, so you just want to test your skills? Is that all you really desire from this encounter? *Tch*.And hear i thought you had greater ambitions as a natural conqueror". At that statement , i saw a hint of surprise flicker across his face, probably surprised that i sensed the conquerors haki he seemed to try to keep under control, constantly at that. An impressive feat in my eyes.
He spoke up a second later,his tone filled with slight wariness, as his left hand rested on his sword guard,
" You know,yo're the first person to notice it without engine in a fight with me,neither the bear or the vie-admiral notice it. Seems like the navy also downplayed your capabilities, after all,you also seem to be a conqueror''.
A smile slowly crept to my face as he said that. 'Seems like he also has impressive sensing capabilities which means he has high talent in observation haki. This means he might poses some form of advance form of it too. It would certainly explain how he too down Bjorn and that vice-admiral'. I pulled my great sword from its sheath and the shield followed a second later ,now resting in my left hand. I pointed my sword,that rested in my right hand, as i spoke in a calm tone,
" Say, how about a wager,a bet if you will ,between the two of us?''. A look of interest flashed across his face as he responded, his tone laced with curiosity,
" You had my curiosity and interest and now you have my attention". I smirked at that, responding in a swift manner,
''I'm glad. Now the offer is simple and you might be familiar with the concept, we fight and whoever remains standing at the end becomes the subordinate of the other who lost''.
A hum escaped his lips,as he contemplated whiles still keeping an eye on me,and a minute later he spoke up, this time with full seriousness,
" So a form of a davy back fight, interesting ,very interesting. Any other conditions or is that it ?''. The smile on my face turned into a smirk as confidence filled my voice as i said,
"Like said,that's it''. He also smirked as he fully pulled his sword from its guard and got into a stance,
" Say less". As soon as he said that, i quickly jumped towards his ship at top speed with my great sword imbued with armament haki only to pause mid-air as i quickly put my shield in front while imbuing it in armament while also reinforcing my body with it as he appeared in front of me and all i heard the next second was,
[Zenith Sword Style: First form:Dragon Blast], and i was flying in the air ,towards one of the ships of my crew at ludicrous speeds. I managed to reorient myself and kicked the air only to appear above the ship ,sword in hand flowing with armament haki. And just in time to block the saber that attempted to decapitate my head. I looked at the assailant as i spoke up, my tone having a hint of wariness mixed with excitement,
'' Seems like i wasn't wrong in my assessment of your strength ,red-hair". He smirked at that,putting more strength trying to push me back as we struggled in a contest of strength.
" You're bad not yourself ,Jaegren,by the way is that even your real name?''. I responded in kind,pushing back as i said,
" Why so curious?''
" Dahahaha, i just want to know the name of the 3rd future commander of the Red-hair Pirates''. I just scoffed at his statement that was filled with unparalleled confidence as our clash was broken when i stopped holding and used my full strength in my current from to push him back,gaining some breathing room and responded ,loud enough for him to hear,
" Hmph, seems like you've also fallen to the curse of most rookies, letting fame get to your head. Luckily,i'm hear to bring you back to reality''. As i finished saying that, i strapped my shield on my back and held my great sword with both hands as i deep breath while imbuing the sword with advance armament haki and i slashed out, releasing a green colored slash that took the shape of roaring tiger as i muttered at a low volume only i could hear,
[Hunting Tiger], and while i didn't expect it to truly win the fight , what he did next surprised me and raised my wariness of him to the next level. Just before the attack could hit him, he raised his right hand towards it and muttered calmly at a volume i could hear only thanks to heightened hearing,
[Zenith Sword Style: Second form: Dragon Roar], and a gust of wind created with a skillful use of emission and the marines secret seventh technique of the Rokushiki arts met my attack in a collision that rattled the ocean as as both attacks vied for supremacy, before they ultimately cancelled each other out.
I put my took that chance to move at him at top speed while keeping my observation fully concentrated on him, intending to at least draw first blood this time while avoiding getting any major injuries.
