"Everyone is waiting, let's get going" Angel said. She took Heaven's hand and together they left the room. Stephenie on the right and Angel on the left. As they walk down the hallway, the maids' jaws dropped. When they got to the hall, all eyes fell on them. Whispers of "she's so beautiful, she looks like the goddess of beauty" filled the room. Eugene couldn't take his eyes off her. Stephenie joined her mate, while Angel led Heaven to Eugene.
Heaven sensed her brothers presence. She looked to her right and found them smiling at her. They winked at her playfully and she chuckled.
As they got to Eugene, he took her hands with care. "You look very beautiful today my queen" he said softly and Heaven replied with a bright smile. Before he came to the hall, he was mad. Mad because the ceremony isn't real. Just a show to fool the elders so they wouldn't dethrone him. But as soon as he set his eyes on her, all of his anger went away. And at that moment, he wished that the coronation wasn't a show. He wished that he was truly making her his queen.
He held both of her hands with care and kissed them. Heaven felt an emotion through those kisses. And the way he looked at her. For a moment, there was some kind of emotion in his eyes that she couldn't figure out. But pushed the thought aside. With the conclusion that it couldn't be love. This is what she tells herself whenever he acted weird and clingy.
The Head of the palace seers frowned, like he wasn't comfortable with what Eugene did. He held the queen's crown in his hands, and took a few steps forward. "My great people of Dekrish", he began "For decades we have waited for this day to come" "And now, the time has come, to crown the king's mate as our queen". He hand over the crown to Eugene. Eugene took the crown, "l hereby make you, my mate Heaven Alizah Dianne Spencer, the queen of Dekrish" he said as he placed the crown on her head. The Head seer turned to crowd, "People of Dekrish, l give you, Queen Heaven of Dekrish" he shouted
Everyone in the hall bowed deeply and shouted "long live the queen". Even though Heaven know this is only temporarily, she still feels proud of herself. She smiled at them, like a mother who is happy to see her children.
The ceremony continued with a ball. Everyone picked a partner to dance with. "May l have this dance?" Eugene bowed and offered his hand to Heaven like a charming prince. "And why not" Heaven placed her hand in his. And with that he led her to dance floor. He drew her so close to him, that there was no space in between their bodies. His hand on her bare back sent shivers down her spine. "Have l told you that you look so beautiful today?"
"You have and you just did".
"After this, l want to take you somewhere" he smiled.
"Where?" She raised a brow.
"It's a secret. You'll know when we get there".
"Okay but, l want to say hello to my brothers first" she pointed in their direction.
"I never thought they'd come" he said.
"Me too"
"It's okay, when you're done, let me know". He leaned into her ear and bite it slightly. Heaven shivered at the touch. "Stop that" she said emphatically. Eugene smirked, he knows he has an effect on her and he likes that.
After the dance, Heaven went to give her brothers a warm hug. "How are you? You guys got me so worried you know? Just because you want learn how to fend for yourselves on your own doesn't mean you have to hide away from me completely".
"We're sorry sis. We figured if we didn't do that, you wouldn't let us go" they said in chorus as usual.
