Chapter 2 - Episode 1

"I'm glad we met again?"

The sky was a vibrant shade of blue, with the sun shining brightly and a brisk wind moving through the air. The birds were joyfully singing, filling the moment with an aura of life. It was almost surreal to think that such perfection could exist in the world.

Then, it felt like I was in a void. I heard a distorted distant voice that was echoing in that void [Writer... Writer?!]

"Hey writer, you ok?"

Called out Raven, her face filled with concern.

"Are you alright?" Raven repeated, she then added "You've been zoning out a lot lately..."

It felt like I was in a void, the force of gravity was pulling me beyond from existence.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I nervously replied, attempting to brush off the situation. "Just having these weird hypnosis thingy haha.." I added

"Well ok then"

Raven responded hesitantly "but you do know break's almost done right? So we better go haha!" She snickered. I really love it when she does that kind of smile, it's mischievous but somehow comfortable to look at.

Raven took me by the hand and led us into the classroom, but I couldn't help but notice something peculiar. Coming to a halt, I pointed towards a corner near the window where the curtains danced gracefully in the sunlight.

"Hmm? What's wrong?"

Raven said confused. As the curtains slowly descended, I caught sight of a girl who seemed oddly familiar.

"Why does she look familiar..?" I said

"What? Seriously, Writer, we gotta go to our seats. Come on, let's go already!" Raven exclaimed, sounding perplexed.

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry." I backed off, "let's just go find our seats, I guess." I said that because I assumed that if I won't, she will keep on bickering about how I'm always zoning out and that I'm not being focused all the time.

We made our way to our seats and settled down, waiting for the teacher to begin. With plenty on her mind, Raven began pouring out her thoughts, filling the air with chatter. Not even a minute later, the bell rang.

*Bell rings*

"See? Just in time, hahaha!" Raven said proudly, expecting that I'll say that she's right.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. You were right" I replied and then sighed.

As the school day came to an end, students spilled out of their classrooms, filling the halls with their constant chatter. Amongst the commotion, my gaze was drawn once again to the corner near the window. To our surprise, the girl we had noticed earlier was still standing there, seemingly unaffected by the bustling activity around her.

"Writer..? Are you sure you're okay?"

Raven said as she was still concerned

"Hold on, do you mind if I go over there for a sec?"

I asked her and then shoving her aside gently

"Oh yeah sure, go ahead. I'll wait"

Raven was a bit down but just accepted what I said, she waited patiently. I'm glad to have a friend like her, I thought in my mind.

With a mix of curiosity and excitement, I cautiously made my way towards the girl. Upon noticing my approach, she greeted me with a friendly wave. I couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity and blurted out, "Hey, have we met before?" The girl, named Jamela, smiled warmly and responded, "I'm not quite sure. My name is Jamela. What's yours?"

Stunned by the coincidence, I exclaimed, "Jam?! Is that you?!" A look of surprise crossed Jamela's face as she replied, "Yeah...? How do you know my nickname?"

"I'm not quite sure if you're the jam I know but... It's me, Writer!" I was unsure but still revealed my name, and I was unable to contain my astonishment.

"Woah, Writer! It's been a long time since I last saw you, you changed a lot." Jamela exclaimed, a grin spreading across her face.

"Same to you as well, haha," I replied, feeling a rush of nostalgia and excitement at our unexpected reunion.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching me from behind and Raven pounced on my back. "Hey, what took you so long?" she chuckled.

However, Raven's smile quickly vanished when she noticed me talking to Jam. She seemed a bit taken aback to see Jam after such a long time. It was understandable since Jam had unexpectedly disappeared without a word, leaving us all wondering where she had gone.

To be continued...
