Chapter 106
Myrah's POV
I smiled and waved at him before turning to go. I thought about him the entire trip to my mother's cottage. I arrived there in less than five minutes. Since the door was unlocked, I entered without ringing. I exited the kitchen after placing my cup in the sink.
I went right to her sleeping quarters. The door was a bit ajar. When I opened it, I beheld a beautiful and endearing moment shared by a mother and her kids. Mom was in bed with Alton and Alisa, their heads propped on her chest.
They were all giggling while she was giving them each a hug. They were cheerful, at least. Because I was accustomed to them leaving me out, it didn't really bother me to see them that way.
"You're here, Myrah. "We recently arrived," stated a sitting Alisa. I was at a loss for words.
I said clumsily, "Oh, hi," and shut the door.
