"W-what did you say?" Victor asked, seemingly unable to believe the words Rina just uttered.
Rina took a deep breath before looking straight at Victor without blinking.
"I said, so what if Venice is not your child?" Rina said, trying to hold back her emotions because she didn't want to show Victor that his words affected her.
"T-then that means what I said doesn't really matter to you, is that it?.. I said V-venice is not my biological child, so I only have one true child, and that is------" But Rina didn't let Victor finish speaking as she immediately gave him a stern look.
"Stop! I don't want to hear that word from you! And besides, I'm not interested in knowing whether Venice is truly your child or not because it won't change anything!" Rina said, taking another deep breath to calm the emotions building up inside her.
