"Long time no see, David!"
Jeffrey's voice carried a cheerful tone as he greeted David, who responded with equal warmth. Rina's dad also joined in the welcoming gestures, appearing pleased to see David's arrival.
"Uh, when did you guys arrive?"
"Well, we got here last night, but our visit didn't go as planned. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected guest loitering in Venedict's room. So, I hope that person has left by now because he's not needed here,"
Jeffrey said, subtly hinting at Victor's presence without explicitly mentioning his name.
While Victor on the other hand, just chose to remain silent while listening to their conversation from the sidelines.
"Y-yeah, you're right. Seems like he's not even needed here..," David responded in a whisper, then glanced towards Victor, who returned his look with a hostile gaze, prompting David to quickly avert his eyes.
