At a city full of countless neon signs and holographic displays that filled the air. The air was heavy with the scent of synthetic smoke and the faint hum of machinery. There was an alleyway in the sharp corner of the building that was full of lights. In that alleyway was a girl covered in a cloth whose purpose was to hide something, specifically her back. That girl or rather fairy was Zephyrus.
She had arrived in this metropolis five days ago, seeking refuge and information about Arm. The city was known to be an intricate web full of organizations and one of them were said to be in cahoots with Arm.
Looking for answers, Zephyrus ventured deeper into the city. The young fairy marveled at the vibrant mix of cultures and styles that collided in every street. For the first time Zephyrus saw people with augmented limbs walk past her, with colorful hair and glowing tattoos that stark contrast against the nature loving fairies that she knew her whole life.
Never have she seen vehicles whizzed above her, casting long shadows on the dilapidated buildings below. The city thrived on the edge of advancement and decay.
Zephyrus was at a skyscraper, gazing out over the cityscape. The neon lights shimmered below, a tapestry of dreams and nightmares. She wishes she would feel a sense of belonging, an electrifying connection to the pulsating heart of this cyberpunk world. But all it offered was the hollowness she felt in her heart as she gazed at the liveliness of the city – imagining her home.
"Would I ever feel at home ever again?" Zephyrus wondered while looking at the night sky. She sighed and thus began searching for those that knew Arm.
Little did Zephyrus know she had only scratched the surface of what this city had to offer. She would soon realize that there are even greater enemies and shocking revelations in this intoxicating neon-soaked labyrinth. Possibly she could even meet a friend.
