Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Antonio

"Signor Franzese, lei sa bene come gestiamo l'azienda. Porti quei dannati soldi o vedi merda!" (Mr. Franzese, you know clearly how we run the business. You bring the damn money or you see shit!") I seethe through gritted teeth, banging my fist on the table. The man is surely putting himself in trouble. I don't give second chances, especially when it comes to my business.

He knows quite well how I do my business. Just because of his silly mistake, I won't let my casino go down the drain. Never. Not in hell will that happen.

"Mr. An-"

"Taglia l'uomo di merda! Ti do ventiquattro ore. Se non ricevo feedback, vedrai il peggio di me." (Cut the crap, man! I'm giving you twenty-four hours. If I don't receive feedback, you will see the worst of me.)

"Calm down, son." My father's voice resonated as soon as I ended the call. I was pissed. The urge to punch something was growing in me. I grabbed the glass of drink that was seated by the side and gulped it down.

"Father, I knew it from the very first day that this man is not to be trusted," I answered. My father's legs are propped on the center table as he goes through the news on the internet. That is almost like his daily routine—checking the tabloids for any latest news about his company. I don't know why he's getting worried for nothing. His company is undoubtedly the top of all in America and some parts of the world.

"Whether he's trusted or not, it doesn't matter to us. We'll wait for the twenty-four hours. If he fails to give in to our demands, then he's out." I nodded my head in agreement. I'm glad father agrees with me. My advice always comes in handy for him. Unlike my sister Mia, who doesn't take the slightest bit of advice I give her, saying they're dangerous.

Well, one has to show no mercy in order for people not to mess with them. Especially when it comes to business. One has to put all the risks at bay to achieve the goal. My family knows me so well. They know I show no mercy. I don't give a damn about who you are. If you try to mess with me, then hell will break loose.

"Have you seen the news? Jordan Castellano's company is going down the drain." My father read out the content of the news he was reading.

I knew the company would not be there for very long. When he didn't follow the proper way of setting up the business, it's bound to go down the drain. I wonder how he managed to make it to the top within the year of its establishment. I remembered the day he and my father had a meeting. As an underboss, I know everything that is moving within the company. I work with some without the need of them knowing who I was. Only a few know me. That's why the tabloids didn't recognize me physically. They only know Antonio Di Salvatore, the underboss.

His news was all over the Internet. His son is nothing but a scumbag. I don't see the purpose of him working at his father's company when he achieved nothing. Practically nothing. However, his youngest daughter Camila, she is nothing like her brother. The very first day I came across her on Forbes about her achievements, she piqued my interest. I got all the information about her. Her personal and career life. There's no denying that I want the woman. She was a spitfire back at the coffee shop. Too bad she won't recognise me.

The corner of my lips twitched up as I put the pieces together. I've got the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. "If they don't take quick action, the company might go bankrupt," Father said.

"Do you remember the time he came for a business deal? I'm sure he'd come around."

"What do you intend to do this time? You know we can't take on a half-baked company." The smile on my face widened. Only if he knew what I was planning.

"This time around, we'll be the ones to take the lead. We will serve as the backbone of his company. But that won't happen just like that." Father said nothing, only nodded his head. He trusts his son. He knows my capabilities and knows that whatever business I have on my plate, I cater it up to success.

"Let me get going. We have a meeting. Are you joining us?" He said, standing up.

"I'll skip for today. I have a bigger business at hand."

"Alright then. All the best." I watched as he walked his way out of the room while my smile widened. I'm looking forward to the important business.

I was angry, pissed, and wanted to punch something. A hiss left my lips when all the events replayed in my head as she left my office. "How dare she! She thinks she can open her mouth and talk shit!" She has the audacity to say no to me, to turn down a life-changing offer. Well, I'll show her who Antonio Di Salvatore is. "Rain!" I yelled out. My personal right-hand man came into view.

"Sir?"

"Camila Castellano's building, I want you to buy it out. And the information we have on her brother, release it to the public."

"Done, sir."

She will know she messed with the wrong man. She will come seeking my help once again. This time around, she will say yes on her own accord. My personal and work phones were all aligned by the side as I waited for news. My personal phone chimed with a message. "It's done, sir."

I didn't get to finish putting the phone down when my desktop screen surfaced with the news. "Antonio doesn't play a useless game." Now we will see whether she will save her father's company or allow it to go bankrupt. Everything to go down the drain. She has no choice but to say yes to me, whether she likes it or not. I'm making that happen.
