Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Prophecy of Twilight

Long ago, when the Kingdom of Lysendral was but a mere whisper in the wind, the Elemental Sages spoke of a prophecy. It was a tale sung under hushed voices, a story shared by flickering candlelight—a tale of the Eclipsed Heart.

The elements have always been the cornerstone of life in Lysendral. Fire, Water, Earth, and Air—each a fundamental force that flowed through every creature, every blade of grass, every droplet of water. At the age of eighteen, every citizen must stand before the Elemental Sphere, an ancient relic that unveils their elemental affinity, tying them to their life's path. But the prophecy spoke of something else, something that transcended these elemental bounds: an Eclipsed Heart.

In a chamber adorned with mysterious runes, the Elemental Sages gathered. Each sage was a paragon of their respective element, robed in colors that danced and flickered like flames, flowed like water, stood steadfast like earth, or fluttered like the wind.

"Is it time?" the Fire Sage asked, eyes ablaze with a fire that seemed to never die out.

"Yes," replied the Water Sage, her voice as serene as a placid lake. "The stars have aligned, and the Prophecy of Twilight looms nigh."

The Earth Sage, steadfast and unyielding, opened an ancient tome. "An Eclipsed Heart shall be born, carrying the essence of both light and shadow. A soul of immense power, fated to either save this world or bring it to the brink of oblivion."

"And what shall we do?" asked the Air Sage, his voice as ephemeral as the wind that rustled the pages of the ancient tome. "Shall we intervene?"

The Water Sage looked into the depths of a scrying pool, where visions of future possibilities played like a flickering tapestry of light and darkness. "No," she said softly. "For the Eclipsed Heart must find its own path, guided by love and bound by destiny."

"Then we shall watch and wait," said the Fire Sage, closing his fiery eyes, "for the twilight is upon us, and the destiny of the Eclipsed Heart remains a veil yet to be lifted."

And so, the Elemental Sages returned to their realms, each contemplating the gravity of the coming days. The world stood at the edge of a new era, caught between light and shadow, and at its heart lay a mystery that could either illuminate the world or plunge it into eternal darkness.

In the Kingdom of Lysendral, young men and women prepared for their Affinity Tests, unaware that among them was a soul like no other—a soul that bore the weight of a prophecy, a soul that held the promise and peril of an Eclipsed Heart.
