The Thunder Emperor waited patiently as the Waking Monarch considered all his options. He was not willing to bow to some so-called God. Gods were the thins of mortals and nothing more. This was the general belief held by most cultivators. Even though there was irrefutable proof for the gods having existed in the past, the cultivators still held no reverence for these ancient beings. Instead, many of them sought to surpass the gods and reach the apex of power.
