This man was truly powerful and Kai Syaoran was clear on the fact that if he were to fight this man, he would not be killed but he would most definitely be defeated in a few moves.
Kai Syaoran's true cultivation on the Akron Dao Path had stalled in the fourth stage of the first realm of cultivation (Mortal God realm). For him to increase his cultivation, he had to get his hands on the metal law expression kept in the Martial Vault. Unfortunately, this was taking as much time as he had expected.
There were still over one hundred years before the sect could choose the new Martial Deity, the only person allowed entry into the Martial Vault. The Rune Celestial could of course enter the vault but there was only the chance to become the Martial Deity and not the Rune Celestial.
