On the streets of Jade City, Kai Syaoran walked freely while hearing stories of how sixty members of the Blue River Gang had been kidnapped in a single night. Some of the people taken were even apparently in the thralls of lovemaking. As the story spread, some of the variations of this tale became even more convoluted as each person added their own details to it. Kai Syaoran did not pay these stories much attention other than casually listening to them for future reference on how information is disseminated in human society.
Kai Syaoran was searching for a place to live in peace and so, as he moved on the busy streets, he paid attention to all the residential buildings. He was not willing to go to another inn. Not after realizing that even low-level gangs such as the Blue River gang could access them without any say from the owners.
