As Kai Syaoran bombarded the crater with all the lightning he could muster, he sensed that the life force within Ran Yu did not seem to be decreasing. This meant that his attacks were of no use in the situation. This was unbelievable since he could see Ran Yu's terrible state. His body could no longer be identified as human. He was now just a juicy piece of cooked meat.
Kai Syaoran became more serious as the mystery surrounding Ran Yu deepened.
At this point, he knew that he had to change tactics. He wanted Ran Yu dead but the lightning was less than effective. Kai Syaoran decided to try out other means to achieve his murderous goal.
Since Ran Yu was surrounded by the earth, Kai Syaoran decided to try the earth. He had just finished cultivating the Earth Spirit stage and it was already proving useful.
