A few hundred kilometres from Sloth City, a magnificent black tower had been constructed by the dynasty. The tower was over ten thousand meters tall. It was cylindrical and it had no entrance.
The dynasty had constructed hundreds of these towers in the Freelands after its conquest of the land. These towers were the formation nodes of the powerful barrier that had stopped the invasion of the Freelands by other factions such as the Yulong Empire for over a century.
Now that the barrier had been destroyed by Commander Lin, one would think that the nodes that held the barrier together would have been destroyed. In truth, the towers were far more powerful than anyone had expected.Even an Empyrean did not have the raw power needed to destroy them .
Although there were hundreds of towers, this tower next to Sloth City was special.
