Kai Syaoran lost all sense of self. There was neither time nor space. Heaven and earth were concepts of the past. Yin and yang vanished and with them all feeling of being. The elements became a thing of the past as all matter disappeared into a puff of smoke. He lost consciousness and was pulled into a realm of total isolation from which waking would be almost an impossibility. He was surrounded by utter and complete darkness. On another thought, this could not be called darkness. In this place, the concept of light did not exist and by extension, the concept of darkness.
Kai Syaoran's body floated in this void bereft of a single living being. Not even a rock could be seen. Everything was just a chaotic mess of unknown energies moving about erratically.
