When the winged devils looked at him, he knew that they knew about what he had just seen.

Kai Syaoran glowed as though he has seen something truly fantastic.
He stood up and looked at the winged devils who were still fighting and dying.
They were fighting recklessly and he now knew why. They did not care about their lives. They had created some alter to resurrect their god without him being born the normal way. This way, he would not be found by the forever devils before he could recover his power. This plan required them to sacrifice themselves to the alter and in their eyes, this was a glorious thing for them to do.
