The competition was fast approaching, and Ezra's training became more stricter. They only trained twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays, so they didn't have much time.
Ezra received arm massages and therapeutic kisses after every practice from Arthur, cheers from Milky, and a thumbs up from Candice. All of this helped heal his soul after every practice.
Today after practice, Arthur didn't walk home with him because he had something important to do with his uncle, is Milky decided to walk home with him.
"So how is Arthur treating you when you guys are alone?" Milky asks out of curiosity, if she's ever going to date Ezra, she must know how to treat him.
Ezra's face was a bit red as he scratched the back of his neck. "He treats me very well," he replies.
Milky raised an eyebrow at him. Where was the juice she was looking for? "Is that all?" she asked.
"Yes," he simply replies.
"So no kiss action, no lovey-dovey couple stuff?" She asked.
'Does she know?' Ezra thought in panic.
Milky saw his panic and was confused. "Aren't you guys dating anymore?" she asked, there was a bit of false hope in her heart.
"You know?" Ezra said in surprise.
Milky wanted to smack her forehead. "I sit with you every day... I know how you two were before and after you started dating, also I am the reason you two began dating in the first place."
Ezra listened to every word she said, red-faced. "You didn't know I knew?" Milky asked in disbelief. Ezra's reaction was cute in her eyes. She could almost hear their classmates' voices calling her a simp.
'I wish I could just confess,' she thought feeling a bit depressed.
She looks at him longingly and Ezra looks at her. "Is something wrong?" he asked.
"I'm jealous of Arthur," she said bluntly. "He was able to confess, and yet I am unable to confess," she said.
"You have someone you like?" Ezra asked her.
"Yes, but there's no way they'll like me back since they are in a relationship with someone they love very much." Milky looked at the ground, there was no stone for her to kick in sadness.
He felt sad for Milky. He would probably end up being like her. "I'm sure you'll find someone who likes you back," he said softly to her.
Milky smiled still looking at the ground. It almost feels like she's been rejected and reassured. "It is going to be hard," she said. "His character and face are one of a kind and my type," she said.
"Really?"
"Yes," Milky replies then proceeds to describe Ezra. "He's cute both inside and out, it makes me want to hug him and lock him up in a place only I can see him," she said possessively.
Ezra sweated a bit over her possessiveness. It's bad. "The person for you might not exactly be your type," he said.
Milky looked at him and raised an eyebrow. Her eyes said, "Yeah, as if."
Ezra laughed and shook his head. "I'm sure you would," he said.
They were close to Ezra's apartment when they noticed a grey car in front of the apartment. The car wasn't very expensive looking, but it certainly wasn't cheap. Outside the car was a weird-looking man wearing sunglasses with a leather jacket blue jeans, and a grey t-shirt.
"Who wears sunglasses close to nighttime," Milky whispered to Ezra's ear.
Ezra giggled and then stopped himself. "It is not nice making fun of someone's fashion sense even if it's poor," he said.
"You laughed at what I said," she said sulking.
"And I was wrong," he admitted.
"Excuse me," the man standing in front of the car called walking towards them before they entered the apartment building. "Are you Ezra Dumas?" he asked.
Ezra stops. "Is there a problem?" he asked.
"Yes, do you know Arthur?" the man asked. "I've been trying to contact him for a while but I wasn't able to get to him," he said. "Could you help me contact him?"
Unknown to Ezra, who was trying to be helpful, a car pulled up behind them. Milk was a bit more aware of their surroundings, but before she could raise her suspicions, she was grabbed and knocked unconscious. She was able to make a little noise calling Ezra's attention.
Ezra's phone was sailing when he turned to see what going on. He was knocked unconscious as well. All of this was ignored by passersby. Ezra dropped his phone, but Arthur had already picked up the call.
The man picks up the phone. "Hey old friend," he said cheerfully.
"Ricky?" Arthur said sounding a bit confused before realizing what was going on. "What did you do to Ezra?" he demanded.
Ricky cleaned his ear with his fingertip watching as his pals carried Milky and Ezra to the car. "He and his friend will be alright," he said carefreely. "I just need a tiny favor before I release them, fifty million and they walk free alive and in one piece. You have twenty-four hours to decide."
He doesn't give Arthur the chance to respond before hanging up the call.
He entered his car and the two cars drove away.
