Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Milky waited patiently for Arthur and Ezra to get to school. She folded her arms as she stared at the door.

"So how was the tutorial with you, Ezra, and Arthur," one of the classmates asked, obviously looking for gossip.

"It went well," she replies, brushing the classmate off.

The classmate was angry that she was brushed off. She huffs and leaves Milky alone.

In fifteen minutes, Ezra and Arthur arrived, the aura between them was bubbly and sweet, like the one surrounding a fresh couple.

'Did he confess yesterday?' she thought.

They sat next to each other as usual and they did their usual stuff. "Is it just me or does it feel like they are dating?"

Everyone in the classroom nodded in agreement.

Milky stood up from her seat and walked to them. "Good morning Ezra," she said in a friendly voice.

"Good morning," Ezra said giving her the cutest, happiest smile ever. Her heart fluttered at the sight and Arthur blocked Ezra's face with a book.

His eyes were looking at her with a lot of hostility, a lot more hostility than usual.

Milky could immediately guess that they were dating. Arthur confessed and found out Ezra felt the same way as him, so now their dating.

She scowled at Arthur. "Drop the book, I'm not going to go back on my word," she said.

Arthur growls at her, and she does the same back at him. They were looking at each other with a lot of hostility.

Ezra collects the book from Arthur and drops it. He heard Milky talking to Arthur. Did they talk yesterday? Also, why were they growling at each other?

Arthur sat back when Ezra collected the book and folded his arm, like a child about to throw a tantrum.

"Good morning," Ezra repeats, smiling at her, a little less sweet. He knew why Arthur covered his face. He glances at him and thought, 'Jealous man.'

"How are you, Ezra?" Milky asked pulling a seat and putting it in front of his table.

"I'm fine," Ezra replies scratching the back of his neck, his cheeks were a bit red as well.

Milky smiles. 'I want to poke his cheek,' she thought. "So when do you want me to teach you the rest of the subjects?" she asked.

Ezra frowns a bit and looks at Arthur. "Is today going to be okay?" he asked.

Arthur obviously wanted to refuse. But Ezra was looking at him with clear eyes.

"Okay," he replies reluctantly.

Ezra smiled affectionately at Arthur and the aura was back. 'They are most definitely dating,' Milky thought.

Milky was surprised that they were walking this time. They've been walking for five minutes and she doesn't think her legs can handle it anymore.

"Hold on, hold on!" she said stopping. Her legs already hurt a lot.

"Tired already?" Arthur said mockingly.

Milky wanted to sneer, but she was too tired to give a proper expression. "Shut up," she said, heaving a bit. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"My place," Ezra replied, he looked a bit worried.

Milky's eyes widened and she stood up straight. "Let's get going!" she said excitedly, walking ahead of them.

Ezra raised an eyebrow in a bit of amusement. He giggles a bit and holds Arthur's hand, walking faster to catch up to Milky, who has no idea where she's going.

When they got to Ezra's apartment, Milky crashed on his sofa breathing heavily. Her vision was darkened a bit. After a few deep breaths, her vision returned.

Ezra brought her a glass of juice. "Here you go," he said patting her back as she slowly sat up.

Milky collects the glass from Ezra. "Thank you," she said.

"What of me?" Arthur asked, pouting childishly.

Ezra smiles at him. "I'll get some for you," he said, "but first, let's make sure Milky is okay."

Milky had already finished drinking the juice by the time Ezra had finished talking. "Are you alright now?" he asked.

"Yes," she replies after taking a deep breath. "You are an angel, Ezra," she said, sounding like she was about to cry.

Ezra grins at her, then stands up to get Arthur his glass of juice. "Ezra and I are dating now," Arthur whispered to Milky.

Milky wasn't surprised by the news. "Congratulations," she said open-mindedly. "So this means I was right," she said smirking a bit.

Arthur glared at her a bit. "So how are you going to explain to your parents?" she asked.

Once she asked this, they heard the doorbell ring.

"Who is it?" Arthur shouted.

The other end of the door was quiet. "It's me," a soft, gentle voice said.

Arthur immediately recognized the voice belonging to Mrs. Dumas, his biological mother.

He stood up and opened the door. "Hello," he said coldly.

Mrs. Dumas smiled a bit, she looked a bit fearful. "Good afternoon," she said. "Is Ezra home?" she asked.

Ezra came out of the kitchen holding a glass of juice. He saw Arthur standing in front of the door. 'Is there someone here?' he thought walking to the door. "Arthur, your juice," he said tapping his shoulder and taking a glance at who was at the door.

He gasped in surprise when he saw Mrs. Dumas standing there. "Mrs. Dumas," Ezra said smiling politely.

"May I come in?" she asked, timidly.

"Of course," Ezra said, handing Arthur the juice and escorting her in.

Arthur collects the juice from Ezra and closes the door. He never had the opportunity to ask what she was here for?

'Was she sent here?' he thought, clenching the glass in his hand.
