Chapter 148.

The following day, Tang San and Wang Feng left Dugu Bo's amidst his grumbling about Tang San taking his herbs.

Soon, they arrived at Heaven Dou Imperial City and sought out Blue Bull Academy. Wang Feng, returning after half a year, felt a twinge of nostalgia seeing this place. Humans, inherently emotional beings, develop sentiments with prolonged stays. Even in the Holy Soul Village, he occasionally visited.

At the Blue Bull Academy gate, the emblem of Shrek Academy was now etched, replacing the previous one.

Upon the guard's report, the headmaster and teachers appeared at the entrance. However, they kept their distance, seemingly wary of Dugu Bo.

Ignoring them, Dugu Bo, with a disdainful look, walked forward. Tang San hurriedly reassured, "Don't worry, I've invited him to be our consultant."

With that, Tang San and Wang Feng proceeded. Wang Feng added, "Old Poison is now the senior advisor of Shrek Academy. We can now boast of having a Titled Douluo!"

Flender and Grandmaster were stupefied. The concept of a Titled Douluo was significant – a rarity on the continent. Other academies scarcely had one, let alone an academy like Shrek boasting such a figure. Flender and Grandmaster were astonished once more, finding it almost unbelievable.

Grandmaster cast a quick glance at Dugu Bo, a glint of understanding in his eyes. With a smile, he remarked, "Senior Poison Douluo is indeed a Titled Douluo. We eagerly welcome Poison Douluo to join Shrek Academy."

Flender led the way, crossing his arms over his shoulders, and approached Dugu Bo with the utmost courtesy. The other teachers, observing dean's actions, promptly followed suit.

Dugu Bo nodded in acknowledgment, reciprocating the gesture to everyone's relief. As the group approached, a sense of joy adorned their faces.

"No need for formalities," Dugu Bo waved dismissively. "These two little troublemakers have turned my routine upside down. I'm just a senior consultant, teaching is beyond my scope. I won't be guiding them. I'll be a consultant in name only.

Dugu Bo was a straightforward and solitary individual, speaking without any circumlocution. The others found his directness refreshing, there was no need for unnecessary pleasantries or formalities. Dugu Bo did not need to personally teach, his presence alone sufficed.

The two teachers escorted Dugu Bo into the academy, ensuring he had accommodations for some rest. Left behind were Wang Feng, Tang San, and Flender and Liu Erlong.

Flender couldn't suppress his joy. "You two have achieved something remarkable. Having a Titled Douluo associated, even if it's just in name, will undoubtedly elevate the reputation of Shrek Academy in Heaven Dou Imperial City and even  whole continent."

You should be aware that on that day at the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, only three Soul Douluo were in charge. Tang San and Wang Feng exchanged subtle smiles.

"The three of us share a certain camaraderie. Brother Feng and I have lent our assistance to him," Tang San explained, then inquired, "By the way, Master, how have things been for you these past six months?"

Grandmaster paused for a moment, then spoke slowly, "Over the last six months, some noteworthy developments have taken place. The other six students have shown remarkable progress. Let's continue our conversation as we walk."

Grandmaster led the two towards the academy, providing details about the growth of the other six during the past half-year.

Ma Hongjun, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing had all reached level 30, earning their third soul ring. Oscar also advanced to level thirty three, Xiao Wu neared level thirty four, and Dai Mubai was on the verge of breaking through the level 40 bottleneck.

"The cultivation method provided by Xiaofeng, I had them integrate it into their daily exercises. Though not entirely comfortable, Oscar and Xiao Wu have shown significant improvement. Soon, Ma Hongjun, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing will also reach level 31. Once Mubai breaks through, we plan to take him to the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain his fourth soul ring." Grandmaster explained slowly, earning a nod of approval from Tang San.

Feng'ge's unique cultivation approach had started yielding results over the past half a year.

Grandmaster turned to Tang San and Wang Feng, inquiring about their progress. Tang San responded, "I'm at level thirty-seven and Feng'ge should be at level thirty-nine." As he said this, Tang San hesitated for a moment.

Brother Feng had absorbed six genuine herbs, yet his soul power had only increased by three levels in half a year, leaving Tang San puzzled. It was perplexing since these six herbs, when used by any soul master, typically yielded a boost of three or four levels with only one herbs. Grandmaster shared in Tang San's surprise, murmuring, "Level thirty-seven and thirty-nine. Have you progressed three stages in half a year?" The pace seemed remarkably swift.

However, Wang Feng shook his head, explaining that the Ice and Fire Lake, coupled with the Red Lotus Karmic Fire tempering his body, significantly accelerated his meditation practice. Without these enhancements, achieving a three-stage/level improvement would have been implausible, with the remaining medicinal power accounting for the increase in soul power.

Tang San then announced, "By the way, Brother Feng and I have gifts for everyone." He praised Wang Feng's extraordinary abilities, highlighting how he had managed to ripen several immortal herbs through some mysterious means in the past six months.

Grandmaster, undeterred, led Tang San and Wang Feng to visit Xiao Wu first. Each of the six practiced in distinct simulated environments, as Xiao Wu was seen in the bushes.

Observing her, Wang Feng couldn't help but suppress a laugh, imagining Xiao Wu as a rabbit in the bush as she was as a soul beast. He was aware that Xiao Wu likely didn't need to practice at all as she doesn't have any bottlenecks.

A short while later, a graceful figure emerged from the bushes. Almost immediately upon spotting Tang San, she rushed towards him. Wang Feng tactfully stepped aside, teasingly referring to the moment as being served "dog food" - a term used for witnessing affectionate moments between couples and feeling like a third wheel.

Having been in love for more than seven years, Tang San and Xiao Wu shared an extraordinary bond. Having been separated for over half a year, emotions ran high between them. Wang Feng couldn't help but cough and interject, "I say Xiao Wu, did you not notice Grandmaster and me?"

As Xiao Wu buried her head on Tang San's chest, tears in her eyes, Wang Feng playfully disrupted the moment, drawing attention from the warmth of their reunion.

Xiao Wu blushed a bit upon hearing Wang Feng's words. She glanced at Wang Feng and said, "Brother Feng, don't talk about me. Wait until you see Rongrong and Zhuqing. You know, some of us wanted to write you a letter. Rongrong asked Grandmaster many times, but Grandmaster didn't approve of it. You were immersed in your practice, and he didn't want to bother you."

Xiao Wu playfully made a face at Wang Feng, whispered a few words intimately to Tang San, and then ran away, saying, "I'm going to find them!" Tang San watched Xiao Wu's retreating figure, still a bit dazed.

"Grandmaster, did you know about this?" Wang Feng asked the master with some confusion.

Grandmaster coughed a few times and nodded, "Yes, but I put a stop to it."

Wang Feng suddenly understood. It made sense, in the past six months or so, with Xiao Wu's temperament, even if she couldn't see him, she should have written a letter or something to inquire about his situation and ease the pangs of lovesickness. The absence of any information explained the master's intervention.

Soon, Xiao Wu found everyone except for Dai Mubai. The moment they saw him, their expressions changed.

"Wang Feng!"

Ning Rongrong, wearing a beautiful white skirt, her hair a bit longer than before, exuding a fairy-like temperament and appeared more mature. Her fair and delicate face blushed with excitement at the sight of Wang Feng. In her watery eyes, there was a mix of surprise and longing, akin to a girl in a long-distance relationship seeing her boyfriend unexpectedly.

Observing Ning Rongrong's expression and the meaning in her eyes, Wang Feng realized something was amiss. He thought, "This is bad," looking at her posture, ready to rush over.

It became clear why Xiao Wu had mentioned it earlier. As Ning Rongrong ran towards Wang Feng, attempting to leap into his arms, she stopped herself. Shyly lowering her head, she glanced at her toes.

"Where have you been for the past six months?" Ning Rongrong's eyes glistened with tears. "Grandmaster didn't tell us. When Grandpa Sword came to see me, he said he wanted to see you, but you weren't here."

Wang Feng was taken aback. Sword Douluo was here too? It made sense, he guessed he must have come to see Ning Rongrong.

"Hahaha, Captain, did you know that Senior Sword Douluo specifically asked for you? He wants you to test his tripod again!" Ma Hongjun walked forward, grinning. "Damn, Wang Feng, it's just been half a year, and you look even more dashing than before, say what's the secret, help your fellow brother here, will you?"

Ma Hongjun's remark drew everyone's attention to Wang Feng. Indeed, Wang Feng appeared taller and more handsome than before at this moment. Even Ning Rongrong, who was just under one meter and seven centimeters, fell short by a head in front of him. She could only reach up to Wang Feng's shoulder.

Compared to Dai Mubai, Wang Feng was now slightly taller. Although his facial features hadn't changed much, his skin looked like crystalline jade. From a distance, it might not be apparent, but upon closer inspection, the skin exuded the purity and flawlessness.
