Chapter 72 - Chapter 71.

Wang Feng quickly coughed and continued, "I won't go. I'm going to rest today. Also I think I'm not strong enough."

Going to such places was clearly out of the question, he can get any girl he wants with his personality, physique and face. But he just didn't want to do it yet.

"What do you mean by not strong enough? Wang Feng, you're being too modest!" Oscar exclaimed.

"That's right, brother Feng, that's a strange way to put it!" Xiao Wu chimed in, her voice filled with anger.

"You don't consider yourself strong enough?"

Everyone at the table looked at Wang Feng, puzzled.

Wang Feng ran his hand through his hair and sighed theatrically, "I still have so much hair. That's a clear sign of not being strong enough. You see, a truly strong person can cultivate to the point where they don't have a single hair left on their head!"

He chuckled and everyone joined in, not quite sure what he meant but finding it humorous.

Dai Mubai smiled and said, "Alright, then I'll be on my way."

He got up and left the cafeteria.

"He's very bold, even asking brother Feng to join him in his depraved hobby." Xiao Wu remarked, glancing at Dai Mubai's retreating figure.

"Back at Nuoding Academy, I can't even count how many girls confessed their interest to brother Feng. How could he be so casual like him?"

Everyone looked at Wang Feng, who seemed a bit uncomfortable with the discussion.

Ning Rongrong chimed in casually, "He can't possibly like any of them, can he? Maybe he's too picky and doesn't like girls."

Xiao Wu playfully added, "No, he just likes the mature ones. He once said the girls in the academy are too young for his taste."

Before she could finish her sentence, Tang San quickly stood up and covered Xiao Wu's mouth, attempting to suppress any further comments.

"It's okay, it's okay. Xiao Wu was just joking." Tang San said, glancing at Wang Feng, whose expression was growing darker by the second. He was quick to hush Xiao Wu.

Wang Feng was utterly speechless. Their close friendship allowed for such teasing but it could also be quite embarrassing. Sometimes, he playfully teased Tang San about his feelings for Xiao Wu, as it wasn't much of a secret.

At Nuoding Academy, close to graduation, Wang Feng was indeed the subject of many girls' affections. At that time, he was immersed in cultivation and didn't pay much attention to them as he was trying to reach level 30 as soon as he can.

Ning Rongrong, with a cold expression, stood up and left after hearing the teasing.

After a while, Wang Feng also stood up and said, "Enjoy your meal, everyone. I'm going to practice."

He left after speaking.

"Tsk tsk, with my rich love experience over the years, I feel that Ning Rongrong might have some feeling for Wang Feng not much but a little bit." Ma Hongjun said with a mischievous smile.

"How is that possible? I thought Rongrong had very high standards and she always seems to be at odds with brother Feng." Xiao Wu replied in surprise.

"Yes, it's hard to believe. Maybe Ning Rongrong hasn't realized it herself. I just have a feeling about it." Ma Hongjun nodded.

Xiao Wu tilted her head, considering the possibility.

After everyone finished their meal, Wang Feng returned to the dormitory. However, he couldn't shake off a sense of unease that had settled in his heart.

Shaking his head to dispel these negative thoughts, Wang Feng decided to spend the day cultivating in the dormitory while gathering information about the Star Dou Great Forest.

The information was crucial since it concerned their upcoming mission to the depths of the forest.

Deep within the Star Dou Great Forest was not like any ordinary soul-beast hunting ground, it was home to numerous ten-thousand-year soul beasts. The dangers there were severe and the depths were particularly treacherous.

Wang Feng recalled the events from the original story, where only the Azure Bull Python and the Titan Great Ape had appeared on the fateful day. However, there could be even more powerful hundred-thousand-year or even more aged soul beasts lurking in the center of the forest, waiting to be discovered.

The next day, everyone gathered in the square, eagerly waiting for Zhao Wuji's arrival. When they saw him with a blue and swollen nose and bruised face, they burst into laughter, barely able to contain themselves. Only Tang San appeared deeply puzzled. He knew that Teacher Zhao's injuries should have healed by now, so why did he have these new fresh injuries? Moreover, his fight with Feng'ge was not much severe and he didn't sustain this much damage.

As everyone prepared to set off, Wang Feng noticed that Zhao Wuji had rearranged their positions. He had expected Dai Mubai to lead the team but now it seemed like he was chosen as the leader instead.

Wang Feng briefly wondered about this change but didn't dwell on it. He knew the Star Dou Great Forest was a perilous place and it was crucial to have a well-organized team to face the dangers within.

Zhao Wuji's instructions and the new formation made sense to Wang Feng. He agreed with the arrangement and spoke up, "The Star Dou Great Forest is very dangerous and we will be constantly under attack from soul beasts. Most of these creatures are aggressive toward humans, so we must be cautious. Dai Mubai, you'll be at the front, with Oscar and Ning Rongrong following closely behind you. Tang San and Xiao Wu will be on the left and right flanks, Ma Hongjun will be in the center, Zhu Zhuqing will scout for the group and keep an eye on our surroundings, and I'll be up at the rear. Any objections?"

No one had any objections to the plan. Dai Mubai even commented, "Your arrangement is quite reasonable, Wang Feng. It's fitting that I lead the way and I have no doubt you have more experience dealing with soul beasts than I do. You must have faced them often."

Wang Feng, still amused by Xiao Wu's earlier comment about calling Teacher Zhao a "little bear cub," simply smiled and didn't comment on it.

With the formation set and the roles clear, they were ready to embark on their journey into the Star Dou Great Forest. The group knew the forest would be fraught with danger but they were determined to face it head-on.

With the formation arranged and everyone in their designated positions, the group began their journey into the Star Dou Great Forest. They moved cautiously, with Dai Mubai leading the way, Oscar and Ning Rongrong closely behind and Tang San and Xiao Wu on the flanks. Ma Hongjun stayed in the center with Oscar and Ning Rongrong, acting as a barrier against potential threats from above. Zhu Zhuqing followed the group at a certain distance, ready to provide information and feedback if needed. At the rear of the formation, Wang Feng was prepared to face any dangers that might come from behind.

This well-thought-out arrangement allowed each member of the team to play to their strengths and ensured their safety in the perilous forest. They moved in unison, fully aware of the challenges that lay ahead. As they ventured deeper into the Star Dou Great Forest, the group's unity and teamwork would prove to be their greatest assets in the face of adversity.

"This kid actually has some experience." Zhao Wuji whispered under his breath.

When it comes to assigning the perfect positions to these eight individuals, one really need to be intimately familiar with each of them and have a solid grasp of what to expect in any potential battle. It demands a wealth of experience.

Of course, none of them are privy to Wang Feng's life over the past five years...

"Ning Rongrong, use second soul ability on everyone, to boost everyone speed." Wang Feng instructed, casting a quick glance at Ning Rongrong.

"Before nightfall, we must reach the outer perimeter of the Star Dou Great Forest."

Ning Rongrong was momentarily taken aback. She had never been known for her teamwork but Wang Feng's words sparked a newfound sense of cooperation in her.

Shortly after, a beam of light enveloped all nine of them.

With the allocations settled, the group wasted no time and headed towards the Star Dou Forest's location at a fast pace.

Along the way, they quelled their hunger with Oscar's grilled sausages and thanks to Ning Rongrong's speed boosting soul ability, they managed to reach the small town outside the Star Dou Great Forest by afternoon. They were now just a little over a hundred kilometers away from their destination, much closer than they realized.

But at this very moment, back at the Shrek Academy, a flash of sword light sliced through the air. As a figure descended from the sky!

"Flender! Get out here!"

The figure landed within the academy grounds and his voice echoed powerfully.

Flenders, who had been busy with his duties, leaped out of a nearby window upon hearing the commotion. He looked at the middle aged man in the courtyard, his expression shifting. With due respect, he addressed the man, "Your Majesty, Chen Xin! Your unexpected visit is quite a surprise. How may I assist you?"

"Enough talk!"

The middle aged man, clad in white attire, spoke casually, "Is Wang Feng here? Tell him to come out! Rongrong is my granddaughter and I can't stand to see her hurt. I didn't expect that even in your Shrek Academy, there are folks daring to hurt her. Quite disappointing! Also don't worry, I won't harm him. I take pride in my honor."

As he spoke, the gleam of a sword lit up in the middle aged man's eyes as a formidable sword aura surrounded him. This old man was none other than Chen Xin, one of the two Titled Douluo belonging to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda Clan, also famously known as the moniker Sword Douluo."

Flender muttered to himself, "He really came."
