....

Wang Feng had used the Golden Lotus ability with an experimental mindset. He closely observed Su Yuntao and the changes that is taking place in Brother Tao, once again impressed by the effectiveness of the first form of the Golden Lotus.

After a few minutes had passed, Su Yuntao slowly stood up, coughing a few times to ease the embarrassment from earlier. A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Hahaha, I didn't expect to break through and increase my spirit power during this battle. It wasn't in vain fighting you, kid. Let's consider it a tie."

Su Yuntao said, believing that his spirit power had only increased due to the intense fight.

Little did he suspect that it was Wang Feng's doing and Wang Feng himself was taken by surprise as well.

After saying the word "tie".

Su Yuntao felt somewhat embarrassed. As a Soul Grandmaster, using martial soul possession and soul skills, he had barely managed to suppress and defeat this young boy. He couldn't help but feel ashamed at the thought that he might have been defeated by the kid if not for his efforts.

"As expected, there's a strong infusion of soul power within you. Even if your martial soul isn't the most powerful, that soul energy is real! You must have been putting in a lot of effort into your training." Su Yuntao mused to himself.

"After all, even I would find it quite taxing to handle those two hundred kilos of iron tools. I must give credit where it's due."

With those thoughts in mind, Su Yuntao approached Wang Feng, placing a reassuring hand on the young boy's shoulder. His stern expression softened into a smile as he spoke,

"Little devil, at the age of six, you managed to tie with one of my Soul Grandmaster. That's something to be proud of. Even if your martial skills seem lacking, if you keep this up, you might truly become a formidable force in the future, much better than me!"

Wang Feng remained silent, absorbing the words of encouragement from Brother Tao. He had achieved his true aim in the battle with Su Yuntao, which astonishingly was not to defeat him but to gauge his own strength and develop the ability to utilize the Golden Lotus.

He also sought to understand how Golden Lotus abilities could have specific effects in soul master battles. Despite appearing to be just an arrogant Soul Hall bastard, the soul master Su Yuntao within was truly a good human at heart.

With a knowing smile, Wang Feng decided to feign surprise and responded, "Really? Master Su, I thought you saw me falter earlier and spared me the final blow out of mercy."

Su Yuntao chuckled at the young boy's playful remark, pleased to see him take the opportunity to learn from their friendly encounter.

"Ah, always humble." he replied, "but remember, hard work is the key to unlocking your true potential!"

Su Yuntao's face flushed with embarrassment, "I'll head back first. Oh, and don't forget, next time we meet, you better have the follow-up story of Douluo Dalu Soul Breaking the Sky ready for me!"

"No problem." Wang Feng replied with a smile.

With that, Su Yuntao hastily departed. During their battle, he sensed a noticeable increase in his soul power and even his chest injury seemed to have slightly healed. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise.

Meanwhile, Wang Feng couldn't help but chuckle to himself, thinking, "Brother Tao has completely fallen into my plan... Well, my physical fitness should now be on par with martial soul possessed brother Tao, making me equivalent to a Soul Grandmaster. If I use a tenth-level spirit power, I shouldn't even fear a peak Soul Grandmaster. Even if I can't win, I won't lose either."

"On the other hand, the abilities of the Golden Lotus in its first form are far beyond what I imagined." Wang Feng mused.

"Not only can it heal and recover but it also boosts soul power level. And there's something strange about its ability! Just like what happened earlier, if Su Yuntao had made a move himself, he would definitely have lost! Golden Lotus is undeniably incredibly powerful!"

"In just four months, I, who used to be a nobody, have already made progress on the path that brother Tao has been walking for over a decade. Not bad at all."

Wang Feng remarked, picking up the iron protective gear from the ground.

"Next, I should leave Holy Soul Village and head to the Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy in Nuoding City. Step by step, I'll keep moving forward... but I need to be careful not to take too big of steps and risk stumbling."

Lost in his thoughts, Wang Feng returned to Holy Soul Village.

Two days later, he and Tang San stood in the middle of the village with their small baggage. It was the day they were going to Nuoding City. Many villagers from Holy Soul Village stood behind them.

"Little Feng, going to Nuoding City doesn't mean you'll forget about us, right? My little daughter is still waiting for you." an aunt called out, waving to Wang Feng while holding her infant child.

Wang Feng was speechless, looking at the adorable baby and replying, "Of course not, Auntie. I'll be back to visit whenever I can. Holy Soul Village will always be my home!"

"Xiao Feng, remember to come back often. Our village will always welcome you!" said an uncle, handing a bar of fruit to both Wang Feng and Tang San.

"Don't worry, Uncle Li. Nuoding City is just a half-day journey away. I won't forget my roots."

Wang Feng reassured with a smile. Over the past two years, he had contributed significantly to the village's development and the villagers were grateful for his ideas and hard work. They often invited him to their houses and three months ago, they even held a small banquet to celebrate his and Tang San's awakening as soul masters. However, Wang Feng found such gatherings cumbersome and preferred to stay out of it.

"You're both children! Going on a journey to Nuoding City, take good care of each other." scolded a woman, showing her concern.

"I will, Aunt Mei." Wang Feng replied with a chuckle, appreciating the village's care for him.

"Soul Master Feng, when you come back, make sure to pay us a visit!" someone else called out.

To be honest, Wang Feng had developed good relationships with the villagers over the years. However, he was a bit lazy about socializing and mostly kept to himself. Tang San, who watched his friend being adored by the villagers, couldn't help but envy him.

"Brother Feng is truly amazing. If I were him, I'm not sure I'd handle it as well as him." he thought to himself.

Most of the aunts and uncles came to see off Brother Feng and they also brought their children along. Soon, old Jack hurried over, looking serious.

"Xiao Feng, Xiao San, let's go." old Jack said.

But before they could leave, Wang Feng suddenly shouted, "Wait a moment."

"Xiao Feng, do you have something else to do?" Old Jack asked.

Wang Feng chuckled and walked over to a stone pillar in the center, bearing the handprint of the Soul Saint. Confusion filled the crowd as they wondered what he was up to. Then, without hesitation, Wang Feng jumped high and imprinted his hand on the stone pillar with a resounding boom.

A clear handprint was left on the stone pillar as Wang Feng landed back on the ground. He spoke with determination, "From now on, Holy Soul Village will not only give birth to Soul Saints. A Title Douluo will also be born from here too!"

He turned to Tang San and said, "Little San, you should leave a mark as well. Maybe one day, when we become Titled Douluos, this place will be a holy ground worshipped by thousands."

Tang San couldn't help but roll his eyes at Wang Feng's audacity.

"You have quite the thick skin, brother Feng. You aren't even a soul master yet and you're already talking about becoming a Title Douluo. Do you even know what that means?" a young boy teased.

Wang Feng shot the boy a glare and retorted, "You don't know anything."

The embarrassed old Jack gave Wang Feng a look and then led him out of the village gate, with Tang San following behind. Under the gentle sunlight, the three of them moved forward, leaving behind the funny little handprints on the stone pillar.

At a distance, in the blacksmith's shop, Tang Hao looked at the small handprint and smiled softly. "This Feng boy is quite ambitious, talking about becoming a Titled Douluo." he murmured. "But even if you become one, what can you do? In the end, you might not even be able to protect those you love..."

A sigh of experience and sorrowful wisdom escaped him, but it was too far away to reach the ears of the three departing figures.
