Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Both Mr Roy and Asmita enters the temple very worried about Prathna, Asmita rushes and hugged her mother while she was silently standing shocked and in tears and Mr Roy stood besides them with teary eyes, Asmita worridly speaks to her mother.

"Why did you have to leave the house so late without informing us mom, do you have any idea as to how worried we were?" Asked Asmita as tears were dropping down her face.

"Prathna, you could've told me that you want to come to the temple, I wouldn't have stopped you I swear, I would've come with you instead and made sure you're fine." Said a worried Mr Roy to her wife.

Prathna gave them a silent treatment and still stood very still and unable to move as she had made a shocking encounter. Asmita couldn't bear her mother's silence and ended up with no choice but to make a promise to her mother in order to make her speak.

"You want sister Shivangi right, then today in front of lord Mahadev, I promise to go against all odds and find her for you, yes, i won't have any dispute regarding this anymore, you are a mother and if you feel your daughter is still alive then who am I to disagree with you?" Said a crying Asmita.

"But Asmita..." said Mr Roy as he got disturbed by Asmita.

"No dad, if mom feels like our Shivangi is alive then I'll go look for her myself." Said a crying Asmita.

"Shivangi was here with me." Said a shocked Prathna.

"You are now seeing things that aren't there!" Said a worried Mr Roy.

"Mom.." Said Asmita.

"I am telling the truth, she was here with me but she kept saying that her name is Ania." Said a shocked Prathna.

"Ania!?" Asked both Asmita and her father in shock.

"Yes Ania, and if you don't believe me, look over there!" Said Prathna as she points at an earring that fell down from Ania during Nataraja. Asmita goes in that direction and picks it up.

"This is not mom's earring and it's a designer earring, it's very unusual and I've never seen it before, which means someone else was here." Said Asmita as she walked back in her mother's direction.

"Mom, where did that Ania go?" Asked a curious Asmita.

"She fell and hit her head hard on the flour and a man came in and took her to the hospital." Said a shocked Prathna.

"Non of this proves that the girl is our Shivangi." Said a confused Mr Roy.

"But dad, mom wouldn't lie about this would she? Mom, when did the girl leave?" Asked Asmita.

"She just left, a moment ago." Replied Prathna.

"Which means that the car that left just now with the guy rushing belongs to them?" Asked a confused Mr Roy.

"Yes!" Replied a shocked Prathna.

"They couldn't have gone far." Said Asmita.

"Asmita, stop what you are doing...you're giving her false hope please." Begged a concerned Mr Roy.

"What if our Shivangi is really alive dad? I have to look into this!" Replied Asmita.

"Asmita please.." Said Mr Roy

As they were still discussing this, Prathna started having a heart attack and they rushed to her.

"Mom what's wrong with you?" Asked a concerned Asmita.

"Prathna what's happening to you?" Asked a concerned Mr Roy.

Prathna fell unconscious and both Asmita and her father panicked.

"Oh no dad get her in the car I think she is having a heart attack!" Said a crying Asmita.

"How could this be, why lord Mahadev?" Asked a crying Mr Roy.

"Dad just get her in the car, hurry we need to take her to the hospital." Said a very concerned and crying Asmita.

"Let's take her to Mannat Hospital." Said Mr Roy.

Mr Roy carries Prathna and puts her in the car and Asmita gets into the car as well and drives to the hospital. Upon their arrival, they walk past a shattered Mahmoud as they were following the doctors who were taking Prathna to the emergency room. Because Mahmoud was way too stressed, he didn't recognize that the woman in the stretcher was the one whom Ania was with in the temple. The doctors quickly eximined Prathna and informs Mr Roy and Asmita that she had a heart attack and she is now in the ICU.

"What do you mean doctor, but how?" Asked a concerned Asmita.

"She was in too much shock hence she had a heart attack, she is in a critical condition and it's hard to say anything for sure just yet." Said the doctor.

"But will my Prathna be okay?" Asked a crying Mr Roy.

"I'm afraid I can't say for sure just yet." Replied the doctor as she leaves to examine other patients.

"She had to endure a lot, the past 5 years has been extremely difficult for her." Said a sympathetic Mr Roy.

"Mom is a fighter dad, she will be fine, she will have to be." Said a crying Asmita.

"What if the only thing that could ever make her herself again is Shivangi?" Asked a concerned and helpless Mr Roy.

"Then I will find our Shivangi and bring her back home!" Replied a confident full of tears Asmita.

"What if your mother is wrong about her being alive?" Asked a concerned and helpless Mr Roy.

"If mom is wrong then I believe the priest was telling the truth, our Shivangi is alive, she will have to be!" Replied a confident full of tears Asmita.

Asmita turns her back on her dad and started walking towards lord Ganesh's idol.

"Where are you going now Asmita?" Asked a confused Mr Roy.

"To the person who bears the answers of every story written about everyone's lives." Replied a confident full of tears Asmita.

"What!?" Asking a worridly confused Mr Roy.

"Yes dad, when things go rough and life becomes tragic, you turn to that person for guidance and survival hence I'm turning to him." Replied Asmita as she continued to walk towards lord Ganesh. She then stands in front of him and started talking.

"You will have to hear my prayers today, 5 years ago our dearest Shivangi was taken away from us and a mother couldn't bear the lose of her daughter that she stopped wearing colours, jewellery and make up. And today when she finally found hope that her daughter could be alive she suffered a heart attack! What was her mistake? Why is she suffering? If our Shivangi is really alive then please give me a sign, no matter how small it is and I promise, I will stop at nothing until I find her whereabouts and bring her back home. If not for Me then please do it for her mother and if not for her mother then do it for the sake of her love for Shivay, hail lord Ganesh!" Prayed Asmita in so much pain.

As she was praying, a flower from lord Ganesh's Idol fell on her feet and caught her attention.

"Thank you lord Ganesh!" Thanked a hopeful Asmita.

As she was feeling greatful, she heard a doctor and Mahmoud's conversation. The doctor was moving Ania into an emergency room in order to examine her properly as her head was hurt badly. A helpless Mahmoud saw this and rushed to the doctor.

"Doctor where are you taking my Anu?" Asked a hurt Mahmoud.

"Sir your sister had a very terrible concussion so we have to take her to do an X-ray and see if there was any complications." Replied the doctor.

"Complications?....will Ania be okay doctor?" Asked a concerned Mahmoud.

Asmita heard Ania's name and the conversation cought her attention and she listened carefully.

"Ania?" Asmita spoke to herself as she listened carefully to the conversation.

The doctor continued speaking to Mahmoud.

"She will be fine, but since you said she lost her memory from an accident that happened to her five years ago, it's possible that from waking up, she will remember everything or she could remember so little and it's possible that she could go back to square one and forget everything or she may even continue from where she left off." Said the doctor.

All this shocked Asmita and she turned around to see the girl in the stretcher but she couldn't see her clearly as there was a bit of distance and people kept passing. She started walking towards the girl but as she was about to reach her, the doctors started moving her once again and all Ania could see was the earring that looked exactly like the one she was holding and the resemblance of Shivangi.

"I will have to follow those doctors and see where they are taking Ania, she could be our Shivangi, I will have to see her face for sure!" Said a confidently confused Asmita as she had started to follow those doctors.
