The Roy family are still in agony from the accident that happened 5 years ago that resulted in them loosing their daughter, although their younger daughter, Asmita was present, she could never fill the void that Shivangi left.
Prathna:(Shivangi's biological mom) 5 years ago the universe took away an important piece of my body, my daughter Shivangi was snatched from me, and you are telling me to continue with life as if nothing has happened?
Asmita: no mom, I'm just trying to tell you that you have been wearing these white saris for 5 years now, don't you think it's finally time to let sister Sivangi's soul rest in peace now.
Prathna: Don't you dare tell me what to do!(angry) My Shivangi is Alive and until she returns I will not wear make up or any jeweleries for that matter, I will remain in this white sari too, get it?
Mr Ameer Roy, who the husband of Prathna Ameer Roy enters the house and Asmita rushes to him crying.
Asmita: dad please talk to mom she won't listen to me..
Mr Roy: is this about the same vow she took 5 years ago when we lost our Shivangi?
Asmita: yes dad, she want to trouble sister Shivangi's soul by her grief please beg her it's been 5 years now and she still won't listen.
Mr Roy: oh Asmita what do I do?
Asmita: tell her to stop all this, as it is not good for her
health dad.
Prathna: until I'm satisfied that my Shivangi is indeed no more, each and every wall of this house will contain my daughter Shivangi Roy's picture and no one will dare to remove them.
Asmita: dad say something( crying)
Mr Roy: if this is the only way for your mother to heal then I have no choice but to let her be Asmita, denying her what she is doing will only make her more eager and resenting us.
Asmita: I can't stand all this!(crying and rushing to her room)
Mr Roy goes straight in Prathna's direction and Prathna lifts up her hand to stop him.
Prathna: not a single step closer Ameer!
Ameer: By doing all this do you realise that you are making it impossible for poor Asmita to move on, you are dragging her down the road of tragedy along with you.
Prathna: By stopping doing all this, I will be forgetting my Shivangi Ameer, I am a mother of three not two and I refuse to forget my daughter Anu.
Ameer: Prathna...
Prathna: if you won't join me then let me be!
