Chapter 85 - Iron Dame

The arena crackled with tension as the clash between Melvin and the Princess unfolded. The spectators were on the edge of their seats, eager to witness the confrontation between two of the strongest competitors who had finished all their previous three matches in one move.

As the referee signalled the start of the battle, Melvin withdrew his hand from his pocket. His index finger extended, aiming directly at the Princess, and a small gathering of thunder crackled at its tip. Pulling his middle finger inward, mimicking the motion of pulling a trigger, he unleashed a bolt of lightning toward the Princess. Living behind a dazzling trail of brilliant light the bolt travelled towards the princess with absolute accuracy.

However, the Iron Princess was prepared. In response to Melvin's attack, she invoked her formidable ability, <>, with a single command the dame raised her shield and stood in between the princess and Melvin.

The thunderbolt struck the Iron Dame with a dazzling display of sparks but to no avail. The non-living creation absorbed the electrical energy without flinching, unaffected by the lightning's powerful surge. The audience gasped at the realization that Melvin's thunderous abilities, while formidable, faced a disadvantage against the impervious Iron Dame.

Undeterred, Melvin adjusted his strategy. With a swift motion, he adjusted his aim, he summoned another thunderbolt before the princess could order the dame again the bolt was already launched. Melvin again tucked his hand inside his pocket thinking the match was over.

But the Iron Princess had already anticipated the attack. With practised finesse, she deftly manoeuvred, allowing the lance to intercept the oncoming lightning. The lance conducted the electrical energy harmlessly into the ground, dispersing the lightning with minimal impact. Ethalind was totally unscathed.

Melvin, recognizing the challenging matchup. The Dame was impervious to his attack due to her being only a puppet and the lance in the hand of the princess acted as a Lightning rod which made his attack waste against both. He understood that the princess had thought beforehand how to fight against him.

Princess seeing Melvin questioning eys smiled The arena became a stage for the dance of elements, each move calculated and countered in a symphony of power and strategy.

The battle raged on, a mesmerizing display of thunder clashing against iron, each strike and counterstrike painting a vivid tableau of elemental mastery. The audience, enthralled by the unfolding spectacle, bore witness to a duel that transcended the ordinary, as the Thunder Mage sought to find a crack in the formidable armour of the Iron Princess and her unyielding Iron Dame.

The arena echoed with the clash of elements as Melvin and the Iron Princess, Ethalind, engaged in a duel of lightning and iron.

The Iron Dame, following Ethalind's command, advanced with precision, her sword poised to strike. Melvin, despite his portly stature, displayed surprising agility as he deftly dodged the iron blade. But the iron dame continued to advance Melvin remained agile and continued to dodge attacks. He shifted his strategy again with his both hands untucked he started firing a garage of thunderbolts creating a dazzling display, attempting to outpower the relentless advance of the Iron Princess and penetrate the impervious Iron Dame with sheer numbers.

But the result was the same the Dame didn't stop. The dame used her shield to block the bolt and attacked Melvin with her long sword. Melvin dodged the sword but was unable to dodge a roundhouse kick that landed on his stomach causing him to groan in pain. In retaliation, he conjured a bolt of lightning, its intensity heightened from the previous strikes. The bolt struck the Iron Dame, causing a momentary pause in her advance.

Ethalind, standing confidently behind her creation, couldn't help but smile. "So, Mr. Goldbell, are you finally taking the battle seriously?"

Melvin, still evading the renewed assault of the Iron Dame, responded with a grin. "Why would you think that? I've been serious since the beginning. I'm giving my all to defend against your onslaught."

taking advantage of the momentary pause of iron dame, Melvin launched another bolt of lightning toward Ethalind. However, anticipating the attack, the Iron Dame swiftly positioned herself between the lightning and her creator, acting as an impervious shield.

"If this is all you've got, I'm a little disappointed in you," Ethalind remarked with a hint of playful taunt.

Melvin, his focus unwavering, retorted while dodging the Iron Dame's renewed strikes. "Hey, hey, Princess, don't insult a boy who's trying his best."

"You say you're giving your best, true. I should respect that, and I should also give my all," remarked the Iron Princess. But one could say the hidden mocking behind her words clearly.

Melvin replied, in a nervous tone as if he had misspoken something "No need. Why should you give your all? You're a princess; take it easy and let one of the citizens of your kingdom win."

However, instead of responding to Melvin's teasing, Ethalind remained focused. She raised her hand, extending it towards the Iron Dame. A surge of iron dust manifested from her fingertips, swirling around the dame.

The Iron Dame, initially clad in light armour, underwent a metamorphosis. The iron particles enveloped her form, crafting an intricate and heavy set of armour. The once-long sword transformed into a massive, two-handed broadsword, gleaming with a newfound imposing presence. The dame now didn't wield any shield showing the princess had chosen to attack now.

The Iron Dame, now fully equipped, stood before the princess waiting for the command from her creator. The princess happy with her work ordered the dame to advance.

The Iron Dame, now clad in formidable heavy armour and wielding the imposing broadsword, attacked with unparalleled might. Despite the weight of her equipment, her speed remained undiminished, while the power behind each swing increased exponentially. The sword's arcs created gusts of wind, and her steps reverberated through the ground, leaving tremors in her wake.

Melvin was now totally focused on defending against the onslaught of the heavy sword. The bolts that he fired with increased intensity had no effect now. And the heavy sword was nearing Melvin but there was no tension in his eyes.

"Let's see how much thunder can you tolerate" said Melvin increasing the charge of his bolts. Holding both hands together, he conjured a much larger lightning bolt. However, the Dame pressed forward unaffected, her movements unhindered by the electric onslaught.

Amid the chaos, Princess Ethalind seized the opportunity. Moving from her initial position, she silently repositioned herself perfectly behind the Dame. Melvin engrossed in dodging and countering the relentless attacks, failed to notice the subtle shift in the battlefield.

As Melvin continued to fire bolts and evade the Dame's strikes, Princess Ethalind, standing directly behind the non-living creation, issued a bold command. The Dame dispersed into a cloud of iron dust, obscuring Melivin's sight momentarily. From within the dissipating particles, the Princess swiftly emerged, pointing her lance directly at the shocked Melvin.

"You have changed quite a bit, and I don't like the new you. It's better for us not to see each other, and you better not tell anyone that you know me," Princess Ethalind spoke in a hushed voice, with a stern expression. With her victory secured, she left the arena, leaving Melvin in a state of surprise and shock.
