Chapter 82 - Sia vs James

The following day brought a welcomed sense of recovery for Ahiro. With the doctor's approval, he was granted permission to leave the infirmary. Melvin, ever the supportive friend, had come to accompany him back to his dorm room.

As Ahiro got ready in more comfortable clothes, he couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the camaraderie that surrounded him. Melvin, with his usual cheerfulness, assured Ahiro that he was just a message away if he needed anything.

Once dressed and ensuring that none of his bandages were compromised, Ahiro, along with Melvin, made their way to the arena. The sounds of clashing powers and cheering spectators filled the air. Even though he was out of the competition, Ahiro couldn't resist the desire to be there for his friends, to cheer them on as they fought their battles.

Entering the arena, Ahiro spotted Emily and John, who had already secured seats. Emily, her concern evident, was the first to inquire about his well-being. "How are you feeling, Ahiro? Any lingering pain?"

Ahiro smiled, appreciating the genuine concern. "I'm better, thanks. The doctor said I'm good to go, but no strenuous work for the rest of the week."

Melvin chimed in, adding a touch of humour, "Well, I guess that means you're off the hook for physical class, huh?"

Ahiro chuckled, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, lucky me. But I'm still here to cheer you guys on. Let's see some impressive matches!"

As they took their seats, the anticipation of the battles ahead filled the stadium. Ahiro, though physically on the mend, was eager to lend his vocal support to his friends, embracing the role of a spirited spectator in the electrifying atmosphere of the arena.

"Look forward, Sia's match is about to begin," John exclaimed, his eyes fixed on the arena.

Ahiro nodded, excitement building. "So, what about her opponent?" he inquired.

John leaned in, his voice low. "Well, he's our classmate, but he's really unnoticeable. I haven't seen his previous matches, so I don't know much, but I do know his ability."

Ahiro raised an eyebrow. "What's his ability?"

John hesitated for a moment. "His ability is registered as <>."

Ahiro couldn't help but chuckle. "Slime Body? What in the world is that?"

John shrugged, a bemused smile playing on his lips. "Your guess is as good as mine. I don't know the details; it's just the name that's registered."

As they both turned their attention back to the arena, the announcer's voice boomed, signalling the beginning of the match.

The arena buzzed with energy as Sia stepped into the spotlight, her presence commanding attention. Her opponent, a seemingly unassuming classmate, stood opposite her. All the friends were cheering along with Ahiro, Sia also saw Ahiro in the stands and waved back with a huge Smile.

The opponent, a boy who might easily blend into the background of the academy's bustling hallways, lacked the imposing presence of some other contenders. His features were unremarkable, his clothing deviating from the standard school-issued armour uniform. Instead, he wore plain attire, almost as if he had just wandered into the arena on a whim.

Sia, with her vibrant hair and confident demeanour, appeared as a stark contrast. The anticipation in the air was palpable as the two faced each other, the crowd eager to witness the clash of their abilities.

The arena crackled with energy as the match between Sia who had earned "Aurous Fist", a moniker she had gained due to her flashy golden fist which she majorly used to finish matches. While only the name of his ability was known, James, his opponent wasn't popular enough to earn a nickname yet.

As the announcer announced to prepare abilities, James began his transformation. A subtle ripple coursed through his form, and suddenly, the unassuming boy erupted into a colossal, blue-coloured giant. The transformation was mesmerizing; his body expanded into a monstrous slime-like entity, tendrils of vibrant blue weaving and undulating around him. The arena lights reflected off the glossy surface of his monstrous form, creating an otherworldly spectacle.

On the opposite side, Sia prepared for the battle ahead. Her <> ability came to life, casting an ethereal golden glow upon her hair. With gauntlets at the ready, she assumed a battle stance, radiating confidence and strength.

As the match commenced, James wasted no time. Tendrils of his formidable slime body shot forth like serpentine projectiles, aiming to ensnare and overwhelm Sia. Undeterred, Sia met the assault head-on. With a confident grin, she unleashed a flurry of punches, each strike accompanied by a burst of energy, with each strike she would store more sun energy empowering her every move.

The collision of powers was nothing short of spectacular. Sia's gauntleted fists connected with the oncoming tendrils, each impact producing shockwaves that reverberated through the arena. The tendrils, formidable as they were, crumbled under the force of Sia's <> strikes.

As tendrils dispersed and James recoiled, Sia stood resolute, bathed in the golden glow of her <>. The battle had just begun, and the arena brimmed with anticipation, echoing with the clash of two distinct powers in a dance that would etch itself into the memory of all who bore witness.

The arena reverberated with explosive clashes as Sia faced the relentless assault of slime tendrils. Each tendril, when blasted apart by Sia's formidable strength, only seemed to multiply, spawning two more in its wake. The onslaught became a relentless dance, a cascade of slime tendrils weaving through the air.

Sia, fueled by her <>, met each tendril with precision and power. Her gauntlets struck with ferocity, creating bursts of energy that dispersed the incoming tendrils. However, for every tendril she obliterated, two more emerged, each targeting a seemingly random spot. The arena became a chaotic battleground, tendrils moving with calculated unpredictability.

A dozen tendrils darted back and forth, a relentless onslaught that tested Sia's endurance. Individually, the tendrils lacked overwhelming strength, but their collective assault chipped away at Sia's stamina. The arena was now a symphony of clashes and bursts of energy, the dance between "Aurous Fist" Sia and James unfolding in a mesmerizing display of powers.

Despite Sia's resilience, the tide of tendrils posed a formidable challenge. Each successful attack drained a bit more of her energy, and the crowd caught in the intensity of the battle, watched with bated breath. The arena's atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the clash between these two distinct powers reached a critical juncture.

As tendrils continued their relentless assault, Sia's determination remained unyielding. She adjusted her strategy, focusing on nullifying as many tendrils as possible while conserving her energy. The battle has just began and she was ready to tell why she was known as "Aurous fist"
