Miss Gia, looked at her watch and continued "Well, time sure flies when we're having such an engaging discussion," she said with a warm smile before activating a holographic board.
"Now, I have some important announcements to make and I want to share an overview of the curriculum," she began. She explained that the curriculum would focus on teaching the fundamentals of awakening. Miss Gia emphasized that she would tailor her approach to each student's unique talents, guiding them individually along their paths of growth.
"As every individual's potential and growth rate can differ significantly," she continued, "Valorius Academy has devised a method to quantify and parameterize your individual awakening power. We call this method the Awakened Growth Spectrum, or AGS for short."
The mention of the AGS piqued the students' curiosity, Miss Gia continued to explain the AGS. "The AGS helps us understand your current awakened abilities and your potential for growth. It allows us to create personalized training plans for each of you, ensuring that you maximize your potential as awakened individuals."
She elaborated on how the AGS would be used to track their progress and tailor their education accordingly. "Throughout your time at Valorius Academy, we will periodically assess your AGS scores to ensure that you are on the right track. This method ensures that you receive the most effective training and guidance to reach your full potential as awakened individuals."
Miss Gia continued her lecture, explaining the parameters of AGS in detail. She gestured toward the holographic board as she spoke.
"Through research, we have found that all kinds of Awakening, can be quantized in six essential parameters," she began, projecting an image of these parameters on the board for everyone to see. "These parameters are the foundation of your awakened abilities, and understanding them is crucial to your growth as awakened individuals."
Ahiro checked out the listed parameters, which were Manifestation, Control, Amplification, attenuation, Adaption, and Mental Fortitude. He knew about manifestation but had only read about others in brief never in detail.
She paused for a moment to let the information sink in. "Remember, each of these parameters is interconnected, and your proficiency in one can positively impact your abilities in others. That's why we assess and guide your progress through the AGS."
"Each of the parameters can be divided into 5 parts from beginner to advanced. As you move through the stages, you'll gain better control and understanding of your awakened abilities. This journey is a marathon, not a sprint. So, embrace it with patience and dedication. We the staff will guide you throughout the journey. " with that she concluded her speech. the time was already up and she closed the Holo-board.
"All of you will have the next class where we will measure your initial AGS score, so be prepared everyone," she said and left the class.
As the trio of friends exited the classroom, Ahiro couldn't shake off his curiosity. He turned to Melvin and Emily and asked, "Hey, can anyone tell me what are seekers, strikers, and explorers?"
Melvin and Emily exchanged surprised glances before Emily replied, "You don't know that? How did you even join Valorius?"
Ahiro shrugged, his expression slightly apologetic. "Well, my application was filled out by ATR, so I don't have all the details."
Melvin started to think aloud. "Oh, I see. You must be a very recent awakened, and probably one without any awakened relatives."
"Yeah," Ahiro confirmed. "Since raised in an orphanage, so I didn't have much exposure to this kind of stuff."
"Oh Ahiro I know how could I forget it I am so sorry for not being considerate" Melvin apologized even bowing his head.
Ahiro pulled up Melvin and said "I know you didn't mean anything bad no need to apologize,"
Emily chimed in answering Ahiro's question. "Ahiro, you see, these b..b..badges we wear—they have different c..c..colors and symbols. The color of the badge indicates your r..r..rank, while the symbol represents the c..c..course you're enrolled in."
Emily said her voice stammering but it was the first time she tried directly talking to Ahiro,
Melvin further explained "We're in the Explorer course, which is why we had to take that Jungle Survival test. Our badge design is the wings on a shield. Seekers have a book on their badge, and they focus on research. And the ones with a Wolf on a shield are the Strikers."
Ahiro nodded, absorbing this newfound knowledge. "Thanks for explaining, guys. I guess I have a lot to catch up on."
With their classes for the day concluded, Melvin and Ahiro parted ways for a bit. Melvin decided to make a beeline for the cafeteria and then return to the dorms, while Ahiro had a different destination in mind—the library.
Ahiro navigated the academy's sprawling campus, following the direction on his watch he arrived at the library.
As he passed by the manicured gardens in front of the library, he couldn't help but notice the lush greenery and colorful flora that added a touch of natural beauty.
Finally, Ahiro arrived at the library's entrance. From the outside, it appeared to be a fusion of classical grandeur and advanced technology. The imposing stone façade was adorned with intricate carvings and towering columns, reminiscent of ancient libraries. Yet, upon closer inspection, he could see the sleek, glassy surfaces and holographic signs that signaled the library's modernity.
With a simple tap of his smart band on the entry pad, Ahiro was granted access. The sliding glass doors silently parted, revealing the interior of the library.
Inside, the library was a captivating blend of old-world charm and cutting-edge innovation. A vast collection of physical books and scrolls lined the shelves, their spines showcasing centuries of accumulated knowledge. Small hovering robots flitted about, assisting students with locating books or answering questions. Holographic terminals allowed students to browse digital archives and access virtual texts. Some drones dusted and cleaned the shelves.
Students roamed the library's aisles, some engrossed in reading, while others conversed in hushed tones. A library this size meant there was a world of information to explore, and Ahiro couldn't wait to dive in.
As he began to wander a drone appeared in front of him, this was an assistant drone, and seeing it was the first time entry of Ahiro was inside the library it asked in a robotic voice
"yes please," Ahiro said, he knew he was far behind in knowledge compared to other who already were exposed to the concept of being awakened from childhood. And he had decided to rectify some of it.
