Chereads / Heaven Purging Monarch / Chapter 35 - Anticlimactic

Chapter 35 - Anticlimactic

Time slowed for Orion as his Sage disposition flared to life and his thinking speed reached a realm beyond what he should be capable of accessing.

His gaze became cold as his presence became illusory.

'Vulkron, activate my Paragon core of Truth, even if it's just for an instant.'

In an instant, Orion felt an endless wave of pure power fill his entire being, greatly surprising him but he immediately refocused as he acted.

'I see. He's using runes on his body that act as nodes to allow his blood force to truly manifest and empower his body. The runes are directly connected to his blood force tank within his soul space. Tricky, very tricky.'

The world became an endless series of ones and zeros as Orion realised something.

A stupidly powerful gust of dream force swallowed him whole as he completely analysed the source codes of all his assimilated bloodlines.

Analysing a near endless amount of runes, his runic knowledge super-imposed itself upon what he was seeing as six beautiful runes appeared in front of him.

These six runes immediately branded themselves onto his body then wildly multiplicated and spread all around his body.

His core went back into dormancy as he violently vomited droves of blood but he devilishly smiled as the runes fully covered his body then seared into him.

They reached his flesh, blood, bones, organs then soul until they reached his very existence and connected with his blood force tank.

At that instant, a horrific wave of power engulfed the world as Orion's blood force truly manifested.

The earth shattered and the skies rumbled and the laws bowed in subservience.

The power of his six bloodlines immediately shot up as his chaos body rapidly grew and reached new heights.

The shackles placed on his bloodlines vanished as he felt their presence clearer than he ever had before.

His eyes widened as he felt he could truly manipulate and control his blood force.

As his blood force reached his brain, all the Dao arts he had learnt seemed to vanish as something clicked into his mind.

A blinding ray of light emanated from his eyes as he reached a deep state of enlightenment.

'I see…'

A heaven sundering will pierced into the very heavens as Orion's presence became unbearably suffocating and holy.

A spear of blood force appeared within his hand as for a mere instant, he felt himself be aligned with the very Daos and spear laws.

His intent flared to life as his blade slowly descended.

Absolute silence filled the world as Orion unhurriedly and calmly bore his judgement upon Akon.

This had all happened in a mere second, leaving Akon stunned beyond belief as he could barely react but feeling death embrace him he violently roared in defiance and unwillingness as his soul burnt then exploded.

The power his soul sacrifice had granted him was funnelled into his star crown as his roar became even more powerful, breaking Orion's enlightenment and attack.

Orion didn't have time to lament as he felt his hairs stand, immediately vanishing as he dodged Akon's dragon breath by a mere inch.

'Fuck! Vulkron, activate my core of holy destruction! I don't care about the backlash!'

Beautiful white flames swallowed Orion as he disappeared.

Akon didn't have time to look for him as his vision darkened and his heart stopped beating.

The last thing he could see before his vision totally darkened and he lost his life was Orion's pitiful figure, ravaged by these same white flames that had empowered him.

'Well done, brat.'

On that day, the last Light Deity of the Zvunty Dragon clan fell.

'I have nine months left before the clan gathering. I need more.'

Chaos Heavens, Holy land of the Heavenly Virvios Clan.

As Orion faced the repercussions of his carelessness, the world kept moving.

Within a beautiful garden full of exotic blue flowers, around a glass table, two beings met.

One was a young girl with long, silky dark hair and piercing golden eyes, her beautiful light-tanned skin etched with archaic blue runes.

The other was a beautiful brown woman that too had long dark hair and piercing golden eyes. Her enticing curves were hidden by magnificent dark blue runes as her aura was truly unfathomable.

Looking at her niece, Tyla smiled.

"So? What'd you think of him?" She calmly asked, her voice laced with the laws of nature.

"I was so surprised! Despite our seven year age gap…he just seems so mature! Do you think he's gone through a nirvana baptism? This could explain his intelligence…" Rambled Sarah as she answered.

Though it was normal for kids of high level cultivators to be born with intellect surpassing the average adult, Orion seemed different.

"His voice is very soothing and his gaze is even warmer than mom's! Can you believe it?!" She happily exclaimed as her eyes shone like stars.

Seeing this, Tyla only smiled as she listened.

"But I can feel it! He's like me too! A battle maniac!"

"Well, it's good news your first meeting went well. At least we don't have to worry, not yet. Have you told him you're promised to each other?" She asked.

"I-…He—.." Stumbling upon her words, she became anxious as her face reddened.

"I couldn't bring myself to… The circumstances of the arrangement are too radical. I didn't want to leave such a bad image on him! He's only two years old, aunty…" She shamefully admitted with a downcast voice.

"Just like you said, he's only a child." Answered Tyla with a chuckle.

"You'll meet at the Heavenly Clan gathering when your parents come back. By then, he'll have grown into a pre-teen, you can talk about it then, for now don't worry and focus on your cultivation. You don't want him leaving you in the dust, do you?" She teased as she immediately lit Sarah's competitive spirit.

Invigorated, Sarah didn't utter a single word as she immediately went into one of their Aquaethos divine lands and went into seclusion.

Seeing this, Tyla smiled as she saw her usually brooding and sad niece finally had a spark of happiness and light within her life.

'Hmph! That little boy better treat her well…'

Looking off into the distance, Tyla's gaze couldn't help but wonder as her buried thoughts resurfaced.

'Will you guys be alright… You have to come back…You can't abandon her, not again…' She thought as the image of Sarah's parents flashed within her mind.

"May the Heavens favour and bless you."
