Chapter 31 - Departure(II)

Her introduction left them speechless but she didn't seem to care as she waved her hand.

Mountains upon mountains of precious resources appeared.

Waving her hand again, the grand table burst into runes that went on to form a complex multidimensional array that used all the seats of the leaders as nodes.

Their seats turned into floating mats as she spoke.

"Sadly, we're short on time. We'll start your recultivation now."

"I'll help you reform your circles of power and forces."

A few months had passed since Orion went into seclusion but this was interrupted as he received a message.

Appearing in the hall of their residence Orion's presence seemed to have transformed again.

His body had grown again, as his aura and physical power had been refined to an utmost.

His presence contained wisps of hundreds if not thousands of Dao arts as his pupils reflected a deep mastery over them.

With a simple thought, he shadow-stepped to his father's office.

As soon as his gaze met his parent's, he immediately felt the difference.

What previously felt like an insurmountable mountain of power and prestige had turned into an endless, abyssal pit of finality and impossibility.

His mind winced in pain as their mere presence eluded all his senses.

In truth, their aura was completely sealed so what Orion was perceiving wasn't even a percent of their true power but his perception was way too keen to miss such a huge change.

Though he noticed Orion's reaction, Eros didn't comment on it as Hera spoke.

"It's time, Ori. We're leaving." She sadly said as she took him into her arms, deeply embracing him.

'FUCK! STOP FLOWING!'

Despite his best efforts, Orion could barely hold the tears from flooding his eyes as he couldn't help but worry about them.

He couldn't lose them, not again.

Wiping Orion's tears, Hera warmly smiled as she too cried. Cupping his cheeks, her heart cried out in pain as she saw the endless worry within his beautiful silver eyes.

"It'll pass so fast, you won't even realise we're gone, okay?"

"Mm."

After a few more minutes of reassurance and hugs, Eros called the Pillars and Ancestors of their clan as they too would be leaving with them.

With Cecilia standing behind him, Orion waved at his parents as they soared through the heavens, a new journey upon their paths.

Seeing Orion's expression, her gaze softened as she spoke.

"This is all temporary, young master. Steel your heart and have faith in the ones that birthed you and gave our clan its current glory." She softly said.

"Work your hardest and give them the best surprise possible when they come back."

Hearing this, a smile of utmost purity and honesty bloomed on his face.

"Thank you."

Sat cross legged in his new cultivation cave, Orion's eyes opened to the world, the fire within them burning brighter than it ever had before.

Closing his heart to any form of worry, Orion put his entire truth and faith into his parents.

"They'll come back. I know it. All I have to do in the meantime is dominate my generation."

Without wasting any time, he pulled two vials of blood.

"Orion…what are you doing?" Calmly asked Vulkron.

Orion didn't smile nor did he answer as he gulped the first vial.

Due to his intensive training, his body didn't explode or reconstruct this time but that didn't stop his blood from boiling and his skin from peeling off as another part of his was remade.

"ARGHHHHHH!"

A scream of agony escaped his lips as he felt his very mind crumble upon itself.

His nerves faded to dust, his neurons faded as his mind shut down.

From the Heavens, a thick pillar of obsidian lighting descended as it striked Orion with not mercy whatsoever.

Even with his mind shattered and his body under an indescribable amount of pain, he madly grinned as he greedily devoured the pillar of lightning.

Angered, the Heavens sent another pillar, then another and another and another.

Pillars as thick as mountains endlessly descended as his body was destroyed then reformed, his mind purified, shattered then reformed again.

This horrendous cycle went one for more than half an hour before Orion finished devouring all the heaven had to give.

His bloodied grin accentuated even more as he grabbed the second vial and gulped it down.

"YOU FUCKING MADMAN! DO YOU WANNA DIE?" Screamed Vulkron in horror.

Their senses were linked so he had felt the petrifying amount of pain his little brother had just been inflicted and yet…

"More…more…more…" He mumbled as his stupidly powerful body broke down once again, a new powerful bloodline joining his four others.

"I SAID BRING MORE!"

His void flames roared to life as he madly cackled, his grin becoming malevolent as he taunted the very Heavens.

"MORE!"

At this instant, the world seems to halt as a huge pillar of pure white lightning slowly descended.

Seemingly unbothered by the temporal halt, Orion's body instantly devoured the pillar despite its power as his figure burst with the power of the five elements.

Standing in the air, his silver hair lightly swaying, he dejectedly stared at the sky.

"Is that all?"

Despite the fact that his bloodlines violently clashed and destroyed his insides he seemed oblivious to the pain as his gaze met the Heaven's.

Far, far away from the chaos heavens, the echelons and existence itself, a young man peacefully sat cross legged within golden clouds of energy.

Multiple esoteric forces swirled around him as he seemed to be close to something, something crucial to his path.

"Is that all?"

A powerful yet childish voice reached his ears and he opened his eyes in annoyance.

His gaze pierced the countless veils and layers that constituted reality as he met Orion's gaze.

His frown deepened when he noticed Orion's silver hair.

"Is that…"

His golden eyes squinted before he noticed something.

A familiar devilish grin bloomed on his face as he burst into laughter.

"To think he'd already be challenging it! Hahaha!"

He couldn't seem to be able to stop laughing as his face became red and he gasped for air.

"Fuckin' hell, almost died."

"Well, it's only right I help my nephew a bit, no?"
