Chereads / Heaven Purging Monarch / Chapter 22 - Talent

Chapter 22 - Talent

Someone born with Origin grade talent or higher, from birth, regardless of their innate grade, could utterly ignore all laws.

All laws.

This was how Orion managed to breath in the Void despite having no cultivation back then, this was how he managed to seamlessly see through the layers of reality to decipher the truths of Dreams.

Orion had managed to do this despite the fact that Hera had sealed the entirety of his talent which stood far beyond the Origin grade.

Even with his soul and talent sealed, Orion had managed to perform such mind breaking feats.

But this wasn't the end.

The Origin grade was the point where all laws were ignored and where they could directly manipulate concepts without any cultivation.

The Chaos grade was the point where they could ignore the Aspects of existence.

The Eternal grade was the point where they could ignore the Primordial Daos and Heavens themselves.

There were still four grades beyond that.

But again, how could it be so simple?

The people born with Origin grade talent could ignore all laws and manipulate concepts at birth, meaning that at the fodder innate grade they held such abilities, but what about the higher grades? What would happen then?

When things were seen from this angle, Menahaos' proposition was terrifying to say the least as the generation that would come after the leaders present in that room would truly be a sight to behold.

The hurried breaths of the various leaders calmed in an instant as their gaze became even brighter.

They absolutely had to get this mark.

It mattered not if they died during their expedition or succeeded. As long as their descendance could have access to this, their reign was all but guaranteed.

"If it wasn't for the fact that the cultivator needs to be below the immortal realm to acquire this mark, we would've given it to you as well but worry not. There is a way for you to reach such high innate grades as well, though I am personally not qualified to talk about it."

"What exactly will the price for all of this be and who is this seer that is promising us all these rewards?" Asked Eros with a calm yet overbearing gaze.

Menahaos' brow involuntarily rose as he felt the overwhelming wave of power emanating from Eros.

'Another variable…'

"The ancient seer is currently recovering from her injuries. You will meet her during our next meeting. This is the first of many meetings."

"The price?" He rhetorically asked with a smile.

"We will have to overthrow the current Overlord of our fold then conquer everything in our path until we have multiple Origin Dimensional Planes under our reign."

"After that's done, we'll have to claw our way to the top while conquering more and more higher worlds until we eventually gain a seat in the major sphere of the Genesis Council gain a seal of approval from the Heavenly Council."

"We'll need to do this in the span of seven mortal years. If we take any more time, the war would've calmed down and our advantage would be gone."

As if frozen in time, none of the leaders reacted.

Had they heard right?

Seven years?!

"Is this even possible?" Asked Tykhan, Patriarch of the Godfall Heavenly Clan.

"You underestimate your own talent and our Seer's mind. Our reach spans beyond what you can currently fathom."

As the leaders asked more and more questions, time seemed to become illusory as they would end up spending days conversing and planning.

Within their chambers, Hera comfortably sat on Eros' lap as their gaze loomed over the beautiful horizon of the Erebus' ancestral land.

Within their gaze, no form of doubt or apprehension could be seen as they had wholeheartedly decided to embark on this arduous journey.

Despite this, slight anguish could be seen on their faces as the image of an energetic silver headed boy constantly appeared within their minds.

"Do you think we're abandoning him…? He's our first and only son…" meekly asked Hera, her countenance nothing like the supreme goddess she constantly displayed.

At this moment, she was nothing but an anguished mother.

"He'll be fine. It's only seven years." He answered with a heavy sigh.

He knew the most about what growing up without parents could do to a child but he had to go.

He had to do it for their family, their clan, their legacy and ambition.

His Dao longed and cried for it.

With a wave of his hand, Eros sent a messages throughout the ancestral land, alerting all ancestors.

A meeting of the utmost importance would be taking place.

——

This meeting was even longer than the one with the overseers but it had eventually concluded.

Taking a deep breath, Hera opened Orion's chamber doors.

Sat cross legged on his bed, Orion had wisp of dark flames swimming around him as a myriad of runes slithered around his skin.

Veins of golden blowed flowed throughout his body as he familiarised himself with his bloodlines.

The pressure he emitted was beyond what blood cultivator's should be able to exude yet his parents only lightly nodded once they saw that.

They hadn't expected any less from their little mad man.

"Orion."

Slowly opening his eyes, Orion's gaze met his mother's. He hadn't even sensed her.

His face lit up as he immediately jumped out of bed and rushed to his mother's embrace.

The fact that he was millions of years old seemed inconsequential in front of his mother who had lived for an uncountable amount of cycles.

Orion's smile turned into confusion as he sensed his mother's sadness coupled with a form of determination and hunger he had never felt before.

Most wouldn't be able to get the faintest of reads from a Chaos expert yet he had subconsciously done it. It would take time for Orion to notice this but his soul was truly beyond this world.

"Mom? What's the matter?"

"Come. We have a few things to talk about." She answered with a sigh.

In an instant, they were within her office as Orion sat facing both his parents, just like when they first introduced him to cultivation.

"What do you know about worlds?"
