Chapter 20 - Risks

Lightly clapping her hands, Cecilia dismissed Orion's attack and followed with a light tap to Orion's forehead.

He didn't have time to register what had happened when he found his skull shattered and his body embedded into one of the walls around him.

"You're good but that's not nearly enough. There's a chance you're one of the most powerful Blood cultivators in history but the clan gathering is rapidly approaching. All the other princes are at the Ethereal realm with some even being at its peak. The pressure will be at an all time high."

Extricating himself from the wall, Orion rapidly healed thanks to his bloodlines as the sound of bones rearranging themselves and blood flowing reverberated.

"Hm, I'll be fine."

"Are you sure? The gathering is in two years."

"By then, I'll be a peak Blood cultivator."

"Are you insane?! Your body needs time to acclimate to such large influxes of blood forces just like everyone. The fact that you managed to survive the fusion of two god grade bloodlines at once is already a testament to how talented you are but don't push your luck! If you stress your body too much, you'll die." Hurriedly said Vulkron as he appeared in his Chibi form.

"I agree. You need to be careful, young master. Ruining your foundation for such an endeavour isn't worth it." Added Cecilia.

"The amount of blood force I could handle before I even assimilated my first bloodline was enough to assimilate with all thirteen bloodlines at once. With the expansion effect that my two first bloodlines offered, it's even more exaggerated and that'll only keep going up as I get stronger. The only real problem will be the tenacity of my body and I already have a plan for that."

"Even if we assume that you somehow managed to assimilate with all those bloodlines in two years, your body will be in a constant state of chaos as all your bloodlines will be considered as foreign by your body. When you break past the realm of blood, your blood force will go out of control and you'll transform into a mindless chimera."

"My divine blood makes me adaptable to most things but it is true that the clash of my bloodlines will be a pain to deal with."

Having come to this conclusion, Orion fell into deep thought as he considered all possible ways to make his plan feasible.

"Wait! If I use my Void Quintessence to feed your innate cores, the natural tenacity of your body will exponentially go up but you'll have to keep up with the development of your body or else your bloodlines will simply get devoured by your original ones."

"That sounds feasible. Two years of pure toruture. Fantastic!" Said Orion as a devilish smile appeared on his handsome face.

On the side, Cecilia could only sigh in dejection as she heard Orion's conclusion.

'He is way too reckless. That'll come to bite him back later…'

As Orion walked his path and made careless decisions, Eros and Hera faced their own challenges.

A few hours ago they had received an urgent inter-clan meeting letter that pertained to a possible war occurring within the upper Genesis Heavens.

"One of my planted shadows within Genesis told me the war extends beyond it but I'm not sure." Worriedly said Hera as she finished grooming herself.

"I saw it on the report as well. Let's hope it's not too bad…" answered Eros with a sigh.

Arriving at the usual venue, the couple waited no time as they found their seats around the huge meeting table where all other clan leaders patiently sat with impatient expressions.

As soon as everyone arrived, the doors closed and the light dimmed.

At the helm of the table, a man appeared.

With short multicoloured hair and eyes that seemed to contain an infinite abyss of darkness, this man stood out like a sore thumb.

Wearing ancient dark blue robes with a white inner tunic, he looked majestic to say the least.

His face pertained him to be a youth, no older than twenty yet his aura held a form of wisdom and experience only the oldest of oldest experts could match.

"Greetings, I am Manahaos, the current representative of the Council of Overseers and the one who'll be taking you through this meeting." He said as he lightly bowed.

"I won't waste your time any further and immediately dive in."

"A war has broken out. It goes from the Genesis Heavens all the way up to the Myriad Aisles where the conflict is the most intense. There's a chance it extends beyond but we have no concrete evidence on that."

A wave of eerie silence engulfed the room as the various clan leaders truly let the reality sink in.

No fear or despair could be seen within their eyes but deep worry was as present as it could be.

"If we were to use unconfirmed Information, the war extends all the way to the peak of our Dawn Cradle. I even personally heard that a Chaos Monarch from the Hells is involved in all of this."

"I hear the gravity of the situation but what does that have to do with us? It's very obvious the war hasn't affected anything or anyone bellow the Genesis Heavens." Asked Wei Hatashi, Patriarch of the Heavenly Wei Clan.

Sighing in disappointment, Menahaos waved his hands as a myriad of formations activated.

In the middle of the table, a hologram showing various images appeared.

"As you see, those are sealing arrays."

"The reason why the war hasn't reached us is because our Ancient Seer sealed half of our Origin Dimensional Plane, momentarily protecting us but the seal won't last for much longer."

"For how long have you known about this war? How were you able to seal us and why were we kept in the dark about all this?" Calmly asked Hera as her pupils narrowed.

She smelled a conspiracy brewing and she didn't like it one bit.
