Though the plane of existence had a ton of fancy names for all of its worlds, the most important thing to know was that it was filled with dimensions that each possessed innate laws of varying strength.
The stronger, the higher they'd be on the Echelon, hence the name.
In fact, one could totally forgo all the fancy names and simply call them strong or weaker dimensions.
