I was standing in a white room with a full-length mirror in front of me. A prompt appeared on the mirror.
{{Please design your character. Your gender cannot change. Your selection will have an impact on your Biological mutation.}}
After 10 minutes of tweaking my character design, I found myself staring at an 8' tall Viking-looking character who was a mix between the actors Henry Cavell and Jason Momoa from the late 2020s.
Pleased with my selection, I continued into the next part of the introduction.
{{Ideal character created. This will be used as a guide for future mutations. Please assign attribute points wisely}}
The mirror disappeared, and the white area faded to reveal a series of weapons, each on their pedestal. There was a classic Sword in the stone, a Spear in a stone, An axe on a pedestal and a bright red ring on an ornate dias.
I approached each one, starting with the sword, to see their description.
{{Sword of the King, ????. Swordsmen are considered an all-rounded class, but this one has its differences. Perhaps it is unique.}}
The sword was covered in rust and looked like it would fall apart if I were to pick it up. The stone it was embedded in was covered in a blood-red moss; it was strange. Very cool but strange.
{{Conqueror's spear. Accuracy and good judgment are a spear's best friend. Just don't let your enemies close.}}
The spear was a complete contrast to the sword. It was polished perfectly, and the stone it was embedded in looked freshly cut and washed. Nothing about it was screaming at me, so I crossed it off mentally.
{{Axe of the Hero. It is a barbarian weapon, but who says that is the only one who can wield it? It takes an indomitable will and a steadfast heart to master.}}
"That sounds like a fun class, but being a hero is too much work. Why would I want the world's fate to rest on my shoulders? NO, THANK YOU! It does look cool, though."
The axe was black and purple with dark green runes engraved on it. The contrast from the all-white pedestal made it stand out even more.
{{Ring of Blood. Bloodlines hold the greatest powers and the greatest restrictions.}}
The last one was the shortest description, but for some reason, I felt this could be a trap. Sure, easy power would be good in the short term, but as they say, easy money, slow problems, slow money, easy problems.
Thinking about how the options seemed better than the first one, yet the first one was the only one without complete information, made me suspicious.
I walked back over to the sword and checked out the blade closer. It was too covered in rust to see any details on the hilt or even the blade. But those question marks tingled my gaming senses, so I chose this one.
If I regret my choice, so be it; my friends can call me dumb all they want. I took hold of the hilt and pulled out the sword when a prompt stopped me halfway.
{{Continuing this action will result in the class Swordsmen being chosen.}}
I dismissed the popup and continued my action. Everything but the blade in my hand disappeared when the sword was released from the stone.
{{Please select your character name:}}
I inputted the name I told my friend I would use, and then my completed character window was shown before me.

The mystery skill and the overpoweredness of my sword slackened my jaw. So what if it's ugly and rusty? This thing is insane!
As I read the weapon's description, I couldn't help myself and screamed in joy. I wasn't a big fan of history, but I wasn't dumb. Excalibur! THE EXCALIBUR! I was already set to be the strongest player ever!
Even in its sealed state, it was so overpowered! With newfound vigor, I shouted out, "Joan! Bring me to Camelot!"
