My name is Nico Amathest and I am a killer for hire. Although I still live in an orphanage I have been working as a contract assassin since I joined the Institute. Our world consisted of 5 clans as far as I knew and I belonged to neither. The orphanage belonged to kids whose parents had died and had nowhere to go. Most of the kids there were young as kids left the orphanage to join guilds once they knew their clans. As one can guess, I was the only one of 14 yrs as I had no clan to belong to. I took refuge in contract assassination as no one was willing to employ me.
Growing up was hard as no one cared to fund the orphanage. Many at times we survived on one meal a day thanks to the amount of jobs the sisters had to put themselves through. I kept on fighting on as I had a dream that I would join a great guild and help fund the orphanage as soon as I knew my clan. I turned twelve and I was part of the twelve year Old's waiting to be ranked and identified a guild. But during my turn the sensors did not detect any known magical parameters from me hence I was told that my powers had not yet manifested. All I remember was being told to come back after an year to be ranked again.
Since then I discovered I could talk to the dead, and, then I wanted, raise a warrior from the dead to do my bidding, an inferius. Together with all teenagers who had awakened their powers, I joined the Institute which was aimed at helping us teens to learn to use our powers and direct it, battle knowledge and hands on combat. I only trained on my battle skills and knowledge cause according to the school's knowledge I had no power. We were also taught on our history and that is where I learned on the reason for existence of clans. Clans came to exist when our world began to be attacked by demons. The gods created the founders who were the greatest warriors the world had ever seen. The founders each had their own power; Vulcan who was the founder of the Pyro clan, Poseidon who was the founder of the Hydro clan, Aeolus who was the founder of the Aero clan, Gaia who was the founder of the Earth clan and Isis who was the founder of the Spirit clan. Together they had driven away the army of Lucifer and brought peace to the world.
I researched on my power and most people though my theory on powers regarding death was a stretch and 'impossible' but, I was living the impossible constantly confused on how to use them. Then, during my research on death related things I discovered it possible to kill for money. I also discovered one more thing; my Inferius was only visible to me, and the directed target of the inferius.
