They left the city behind, the anticipation in the car grew. Emma couldn't quell her curiosity any longer and leaned toward Adrian, her voice filled with eager anticipation. "Adrian, are we going far away from the city?"
Adrian, his eyes focused on the road ahead, turned to her with a reassuring smile. "Not too far, Emma. Just another ten minutes or so, and we'll be there."
The minutes ticked away, and soon the car came to a halt in a remote, seemingly desolate area. Darkness surrounded them, broken only by the faint glow of the stars above. Emma's heart skipped a beat as she couldn't help but feel a hint of unease, the isolation of the place casting an eerie spell.
