Chapter 26 - Chapter 9: Meeting You

At the club

There was silence amongst the anticipating crowd that craved for entertainment. The lights in the entire club now went off, making the entire place dark and a bit of a spooky atmosphere hovered.

Still in anticipation, the crowd stayed calm, awaiting the performer. A spotlight now lit the high stage, revealing a red haired, attractive woman, wearing nothing but black tigh-high transparent leggings, a crop handless top, and fashionable ladies underwear.

Everything she wore was in black, making her red hair stand out. She had heavy makeup on, long lashes. But one could still tell she'd still be beautiful without makeup on.

Jaws dropped, as the dancer swung herself on the pole. Drooling men, and envious women, were all watching at the performer, flexibly moving her body like a snake. Light-weighted, she clung her legs to the pole and spinned her body, turning.

She split her legs on the stage, and she just kept on dancing in this seductive manner.

Jack and Leo, who were seated next to each other, had eyes glued to the dancer.

"She's so damn good." Jack heard Leo speak under his breath, with eyes still fixated on her.

When the dance was finally over, the stage lights now went off, before the club lights were now restored.

A man wearing a magician's kind of hat, a waistcoat, and blue long-sleeved untucked shirt, now made his way up stage.

With a voice as loud as blowing horns, he praised, "Now let's give it up for the best dancer in New Orleans, Fox!"

Applauds from the crowd now followed, and shouts and howls were all over the place.

Jack and Leo also engaged in this clapping, as the dancer now stepped down  slowly from stage.

She was actually very good. Good enough to steal Leo's overall attention, even after performance. Jack would've sworn he noticed New Orlean's Fox, give Leo a wink.

Everyone found her exciting and attractive, including Jack, but Leo's gaze was so intense, and made him look as if Cupid's arrow had struck him real hard.

His undivided attention was now mainly focused on the lady.

"Don't wait for me mate," He said standing up to leave, making Jack wonder, "I'll go have my fun. You have yours"

His eyes were still fixed on the dancer that was now covered in a fur coat, leaving to her show room. He drank one shot of whiskey before leaving lustfully, like a hungry wolf, to go meet her.

A band of singers now climbed the stage, and the old Jazz music played, giving the place a different mood.

Jack was now seated, pouring himself a bottle of wine. And as he raised his head, gulping down shots, his eyes suddenly opened to see a fair haired female, head his way, with three female friends walking behind her.

He wasn't sure he knew her, but looking at how cocky she was, and her demeanour to the other girls, made her look like she was an important person.

She wore a long gold gown that was tight fitting. It had a tigh-high slit at the front, a big bow tied at the back of the v-neck dress, that revealed her skin at the back, and a little at the front. She held a small clutch purse, wore short hand gloves, had makeup on, and also pearls to complete the look.

"Scram," She said to her entourage.

They left immediately. And with a leering smile on her dark shaded lips, she said, stretching out one of her hand, which was now ungloved, "Jack Loggman of London, Natasha of the New Orleans. My father's Alpha here."

He pressed a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

He knew with that introduction, he now had to be more of a gentleman; more than he already was, towards ladies.

Natasha, a werewolf girl, sat next to Jack, and her slit revealed her pretty laps. This was her little way of passing a message to the young man.

She said, "I saw you at the werewolves

celebration, looking all charming as always. I would have gone to meet you, but it seemed like you were in a hurry to leave."

Jack said, smiling, "Then I'm glad I came here."

They both had a chat. Natasha, who was obviously attracted to Jack, giggled at all the things he said, curling her hair with her finger as she spoke. Jack found her the same. She was just like the others he had known before now. There was nothing special about her. She was just a rude spoilt wolf and just like every other girl he had swooned she just wanted a taste of the Jack Loggman.

He didn't feel connected to her. All she talked about was her father's money and accomplishments. She was pretty, yes, but only on the outside. Apart from her appearance Jack didn't find any other thing about her and already knew how the night was going to end.

The usuals.

Being too bold for a girl, she slowly pressed forward almost coming to close contact with Jack's lips. It was too fast and sudden even for the playboy. She was about giving Jack a kiss when one of the waiters accidentally poured wine close to her.

She instantly got angry and started yelling at the female servant.

"I'm-sorry, Miss." The servant stuttered.

The thing was that the drink didn't even pour on her, only close to her. She was probably offended because she didn't get to do what she wanted again.

As Jack's eyes looked at the girl who had now lifted her bowed-down-head, he had the most surprising expression on as he saw her face.

It was the girl he had met under the rain. "Lyya?" He let out, but not loudly.

What was a mundane lady doing serving in a werewolf nightclub? Asked Jack, mentally. Maybe because she had lost her job at that place. He couldn't focus anymore. The girl he had seen the other day had made him lose focus from the rude Natasha next to him.

He watched the girl pick up the fallen glass and had the urge to help her, but he knew it would gain people's attention around. And also it would make New Orleans Alpha's daughter jelous.

Natasha took Jack, who was still staring at Lyya, by the hand to dance. As they danced, trying to calm the atmosphere and reconnect whatever, Jack wants interested anymore. He just looked at Lyya and couldn't help but want to go meet her. She probably had not even recognized him yet.

As Jack's hand were on Natasha's waist dancing to the slow music and hers on his shoulders he couldn't help but turn his neck to look at the beautifully outstanding Lyya. She seemed like an Angel, while what he stood in front of, a werewolf, was a literal rude devil monster. Something about her seemed different— that was apart from her being a human.

Jack found himself gazing at this lady who probably didn't know she was surrounded by werewolves. Literally.

"I'm starting to think it was a bad idea letting humans serve us werewolves at this nightclub." Natasha said. "I'll make the owner prohibit it."

As this was happening, Leo stood beside the door of the showroom. He leaned his back on the wall, patiently waiting for the lady that had performed to come out.

After waiting for her for close to an hour, she finally came outside, this time dressed.

She grinned on seeing him.

"Nice show out there," He said with a charming smile, and hand strecthed out. "I'm Leo from a pack in London." He made sure he was cooler than ever.

She now placed her handbag properly on her shoulder and said, "I'll be on my way." With a leer she headed outside the streets, making Leo slightly bewildered be her quick departure. He ran outside to meet her as he still wanted to know her better. She seemed like a mystery girl and of course he was attracted to mystery. She wanted to get in a car when she heard his voice again.

"Just like that?!" He stood in front of the car. She had understood what he meant and said.

Still smiling, "You wanna come along?"

Stunned, Leo smiled at this temptress, as he considered her unexpected offer.

***

Jack paced down the streets now outside of the nightclub. It was a lonely dark street but he wasn't scared as the night was a pleasant time for a wolf.

"Tgat shit bailed on me." He refered to Leo. "Hope I don't get lost again."

As he was walking, he suddenly heard screams coming from an alley. He wondered, curious of what it may be. With his wolf speed he went to check it out. As he was going, a girl now came running towards him and hugged him as she was petrified of something.

"Thuhs are after me," The girl whimpered. "Help me. They want to steal from me."

Jack's heart thuded faster as he suddenly recognized the girl to be Lyya. Again. 'Twice in one day.' He said mentally.

The thugs came and the woman cowered in fright, hiding behind Jack. Jack's nose twitched as he smelt they were werewolves.

"If it isn't Jack Loggman." One of them that seemed like the leader, said with his fangs pointing out and wolf's face partly in displa. "This is our town. We just wanna take what we want and do what we please. This ain't london."

They now transformed to their wolves and Jack, preventing Lyya a human from seeing this, hugged her burying her face into his chest. He knew these wolves wanted a fight and the only way he could beat them all was in his won wolf form.

"Lyya, right?" He said to the girl who wandered how he knew her name. "Could you trust me and close your eyes?" He whispered.

She was whimpering in fear. She couldn't even speak.

Trusting Lyya to close her eyes he transformed into his wolf form. He jumped at them and fought them, making some bleed as they were devoured by his wolf. The rest ran away in fear.

Changing back, Jack held this woman who did trust him and closed her eyes. He dragged her to a safer corner. "You can open your eyes now," He said to her in a husky tone, pulling her close.

Lyya opened her eyes and was completely shocked by whstvdhe saw. "Y-your clothes are ripped." She stuttered still in close distance with Jack.

Jack completely forgot. His transformation had ripped some parts of his clothes in shreds. He looked at Lyya and she stared at him.

"You," She said as she now recognized him.
